I have gone here several times simply because it is close to home. Every single time it takes 20-30 minutes to get food. Absolutely horrendous wait times and easily 50% of the time the order has some error. The employees seem unhappy and are unfriendly. Food is subpar with other Sonics. However the wait time makes it hard to want to come here. I hope Sonic corporate takes notice and make some managerial changes. Update: Just sat in a stall for 32 minutes waiting for a hotdog, chicken strips and two drinks. The car hop ( male with dark hair wearing short shorts) was rude and indifferent to the wait time. Extremely disappointed. Order in the app for pickup and arrived on time. Pulled into a stall and logged in. They took about 5 minutes to reply and then the screen indicated my food would be out shortly. 15 minutes later and still nothing so I went inside. There was no one at the counter and three other people were also there trying to get someone's attention. We kept ringing the bell and calling out but no one would come out of the back room. I would have just canceled my order but it had already been charged to my credit card. Someone finally stuck there head out to ask what we wanted. We were all waiting for food. After another 10 minutes they finally brought our orders out. I took off and headed home - less than 3 minutes away. The food was totally cold and miserable. It must have been sitting for 20 minutes. After seeing their commercials for the past month, we went there last Sat (9/10/22) at 4:30. Here's a rundown of our experience: *We were the only customers there. No one was in the room; we had to yell back to the kitchen to have someone take our order. * We asked about the advertised items & got a confused, blank stare. She didn't know what we were talking about. *We decided to give it a try & placed an order for a burger combo & a coney hotdog combo. WE HAD TO WAIT 20 MINUTES. We weren't even given our drinks during the wait. When the food finally arrived, it was tasteless! What a waste of money....Never again. We decided to try our local Sonic restaurant. I ordered a takeout of a Sonic double cheese bacon burger, a Sonic cheese burger, fries And tots. There was 2 people in the restaurant eating And the crew was behind closed doors. I ordered and was patiently waiting 20 minutes For my finished order. I hurried to the car and pulled out to enjoy Our lunch at home. Of course we wanted to Taste the fries! Unfortunately the fries was cold Limp and greasy. So much for every order Being fresh made. I've been here twice, both at night and each time it has not been busy. Once there was one car before me and it was like the longest wait, EVER. I was so bummed but I was starving. Ordering the food was fine, but getting the food was definitely not a quick process. I understand they make things "fresh", but I was sitting in the drive thru waiting for my food for almost 20 minutes. I live a few minutes away and when I got home, most of the food was cold! I was definitely not happy but, ugh. Maybe if you go here, just get a slushy-thing, those things are supposed to be cold and should only take like a minute to make. First time at Sonic and probably my last. Walked into Sonic and it was warm inside. I noticed the thermostat was set to 79. The outside temperature was 104. The tables looked like they needed a good wipe down. I had to push a buzzer to get anyone to help us. The food was just ok. My husband ordered a lemon lime slushy and got a lemon line soda. Slowest Sonic ever. I ordered a route 44 drink on the App. When I got in line there's 4 cars ahead of me. I'm still sitting in line with 3 cars ahead of me and it's been 27 minutes. I usually don't read Yelp reviews for fast food. I wish I had for this one and I hope others will read this review before trying to get food here. It took us an hour to get ice cold food. First, don't even bother getting food. We ordered a cheese burger, popcorn chicken, tots, a grilled cheese and a pretzel dog along with some ice cream treats and an iced tea. When the server brought our food out, she had the wrong drink, had forgotten one of our shakes and didn't give us spoons, straws or napkins. I opened my cheeseburger to find that the cheese wasn't even a bit melted and the patty was ice cold. Like almost refrigerator status. Same with the tots. Not even lukewarm. The grilled cheese was also cold, but since it was for my 5 year old, she could eat it. I ended up walking inside where I found a note by the cash registers that said to yell because the button was broken to call for help. I said hello, excuse me, hello... A girl on her break asked if I wanted her to go get someone. I could hear/see at least 5 people back there. Finally someone asked someone else to come help me. He was polite about replacing the food. He handed me a bag back and I took it out to the car. The tots were now lukewarm, an improvement I guess. My hamburger patty was hot, like microwave hot. The cheese was still cold. Don't ask me how they managed that. I ate it because I was starving by then. I turned to my sonic blast. Now very melty because of having to go inside to replace food. It was ok, hard to screw up ice cream, just don't expect your mix-ins to actually be mixed in. I've been here a few times with similar outcomes, but this was the worst by far. Often the orders are wrong, the food is usually lukewarm/tolerable. Come here only if you have time to wait and only order drinks/ice cream. Went to this Sonics for lunch today, the girl that brought our food to the car asked me I wanted my recipe, I said yes, she turned & walked away, this was the beginning, we took our food home, we ordered a single burger with out onions! The bottom of the bun was so hard, if I would have tried to eat, I'm sure I would have broke a tooth, when removing the bottom hard bun, there was onions & old brown lettuce! Then I attempted to call Sonic's, the phone rang no joking 30 - 35 times before it was answered & hung up! I attempted to call back with the same results! This would be a no-star if that was an option. Pulled into drive thru at 3:30 yesterday. There was one car ahead of me. Someone came on the intercom and asked that gentleman to please hold on a minute. At least 15 minutes later (I would have left if not stuck between two cars) he turned to me and said I guess they want us to wait. I told him if I were the front car I would have left ten minutes earlier. I tried to call the store from my cell no less than four times and never had my call answered. We pulled away after the fifteen minutes and as I drove by the windows I noticed NO ONE in the restaurant that looked like a customer, only staff. I know that businesses are experiencing difficulty in getting staff, but then put a sign on the drive thru that you cannot provide service or something more considerate than expecting your customers to just wait forever.
