I also ordered a steak burrito to go. It came out 15 minutes later. Pricing is reasonable here. My total bill was $27 tax included. Here is my two cents on the quality quantity and price of Speedy's tacos... it was delivered in a timely manner by Uber eats.. They did a good job.. I had a pullpork taco, a chicken taco, and a chipotle enchilada ... This had to be the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted . Let's just start with the rice... I thought the rice was pretty much standard most Mexican restaurants.. This rice was horrible! I had better rice taken out of the box. it was just colored red and no taste. I've never had rice like this before. Hopefully, I never have it again.. I never usually order a chicken taco but this chicken taco I just didn't like it. And I tried the chipotle enchilada $18 . That was the most overpriced, horrible meal I ever had and I really felt ripped off.. it had lots and lots of lettuce. I thought I was a .. and the three little slices of avocado was ridiculous. The only flavor that I had was four or five slices of pickled jalapeño peppers.. Oh yes, I asked for utensils and extra jalapeño peppers no napkins, no fork, spoons or knife they missed it completely and I know I placed it on it because I didn't have readily available... This may be good for wimpy white people who don't like spicy food, but for me never ever again . And I'm German American . Carne Asada Tacos- Generous amount of carne asada. Small bits and very oily. Onions are also a bit strong. The establishment has a cute interior, with license plate collages spelling out "Save Water, Drink Beer," or "Peace, Love, Weed," and I think the staff is very attentive. The potato and cheese taquitos need seasoning. A lot of it. They were or would have been nice and crispy had they not been smothered in lettuce. The tamales were awful. I ordered them based on a yelp review that said they were "yummy not dry" which was the opposite of mine. My first time at Speedy's tacos was during the pandemic in 2020 so I thought it was time to try it out one more time. It was speedy but that doesn't mean that the food is great. I got the enchiladas for $13.50. You get your choice of veggie or chicken and choice of beans or salad. I chose chicken and a salad. It was mediocre but I've had worst and better enchiladas. My companion got 6 tacos and he complained that the meat was either cold or not properly cooked well. He said the worst taco was the carne asada which seems pretty difficult to mess up, right? He said the best thing he got were the taquitos. Not sure if we will be back again unless there are some changes with the food quality. read more

I've been to Speedy's Tacos in the past. Back then, I gave it a 5 star review, but after visiting Speedy's recently, I have to change my rating to 4/5. The quality of the tacos has gone down a bit. My friend and I visited Speedy's on a weekday around 5 p.m., and it was very empty (which makes sense). We ordered 5 tacos - 1 puller pork, 3 al pastor, and 1 carne asada. When it comes to the size of the tacos, you definitely get your money's worth. I personally felt that the 4 tacos I got were more than what I could finish. 3 was probably the right amount. Each taco consists of two soft tortillas. The tacos contain a green sauce and jalapeños so they are hot and usually on the spicy end. I was okay with that. The meat was a bit disappointing. It felt dry, and the cook wasn't consistent - some pieces were tender, and some weren't. The service was fast. We ordered at the counter, and our waiter served us our tacos within 5-10 minutes. Finally got to try this place! I ordered the Al pastor taco, fish taco, and carne asada taco. I was pretty full after eating just three tacos because they really packed it in there. You are really paying for what you eat! There's this orange sauce that they have and if you like spicy, definitely try it but it was too spicy for me after a while. We also had a taco party. We just ordered what ever people wanted and everyone loved their tacos. Sadly I didn't get to go inside to check out their service cause my boyfriend was the one who picked it up, but he said there was a long line and it took a little longer than expected. Our family LOVES Mexican food. We probably go to Speedy's Tacos the most and if we aren't there, we're across the parking lot at Tia Juana, owned by the same family. This place is truly a neighbor joint, where we often see the same people dining and we have gotten to know the owners very well. This place is casual where you order at the counter, get your own drinks and the food comes to your table. It is cozy inside but also has nice outdoor seating when the weather is nice. It really has it all, great chips, salsa and guacamole, flavorful dishes and fast, friendly service. My favorite is the taquito combo that comes with the tastiest salad. My husband likes the chicken burrito with green sauce. Be sure to ask for the special orange hot sauce that takes it to the next level. We are never disappointed when we come here because the quality of food is always fresh, consistent and full of flavor. The same can be said for its sister restaurant, Tia Juana (look for my review), which has a more traditional menu. A quick yelp search brought us here for a 'speedy' lunch before visiting Costco. The parking lot was quite empty when we arrived at 11:50 AM which caused me to wonder a little; as soon as we ordered and sat down, the line all of sudden grew to a dozen or more long and kept going. The indoor dining area is has a capacity of 8-9 tables; 7-8 tables outdoor. One young lady was the cashier and taking orders. Rest rooms are clean. Most of the customers appeared to be regulars and knew exactly what they wanted. We ordered three soft tacos (pulled, fish and shrimp) and the enchiladas in chipotle sauce which was the recommend special of the day (chicken and pulled pork). When we were leaving I saw chille relleno written on the board of daily specials and wished I had seen that earlier. Food was brought to the table in about 5 minutes, both dishes were piping hot, fresh and tasty; no complimentary salsa/chips, we had water from the soda machine. It's mostly self serve, fast turnover, our total bill with 15% tip came to about $38. We were happy with the delicious, fresh and authentic food. Will likely come back to try other dishes. read more

I was craving for authentic Mexican food and came here on Monday lunch after seeing reviews on Yelp. I ordered shrimp, fish and carne asada tacos which was more than enough to fill me up. The tacos came with a lot of meat in it and onion in the tacos goes well with. Although it was lunch rush hours the food came out very fast ! Tho The fish taco was a little too spicy than I excepted. The server who does everything all by herself (except cooking), although she is busy she made sure we have what we need and she is super friendly to every customer. There are two Mexican places within 5 min I can count on for my needs. Speedy's is the one I turn to most often. The other is a truck and closes at 3pm so their loss. Always happy with the abundance on Speedy's menu. It's not like 5 folds full Schitts Creek. It's concise but with a great amount of options. A must when I go is always posole. When I get it delivered they sometimes forget the spice on the side /cry. But it's still great and not required. The veggies are separate so they still have crisp when you put it in. The last couple of takeouts I ordered both had soggy, fragile tortillas. My lengua taco was ripping into pieces and I couldn't even pick it up. However, the meat and toppings are always pretty good.
