If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Let's see all the reasons why: I am a wheelchair user. Spitz SC has 1 accessible parking spot in the back. When I arrived, the accessible spot was taken by a car with no placard. I found a spot elsewhere and then came back to meet my friends. The spot was now empty. We sat outside (with the spot visible!) and ate for about an hour or so. During that time I saw multiple (at least 6) cars drive up, park in that spot, no placards, then come back out with bags of food. They'd leave and another would come and take that spot. All delivery people using the accessible spot for their delivery pick-ups. If that wasn't bad enough, when I had to go to the bathroom, the hallway that leads to the bathroom was crowded with boxes and metal containers (from the bar) and all kinds of fire hazards. It was also imposible for me to get through without someone having to clear the way for me. Once I got to the bathroom, guess what? I could barely fit in it with the wheelchair. But I finally maneuvered it in. Then I got stuck trying to get out of it. Then had to go through the cluttered hallway again. If there has been a fire, I could've died in that bathroom with no way to get out fast enough. This is NOT an accessible restaurant including not even making it clear that the accessible parking spot is not for delivery cars. I give this restaurant 0 stars. Will also be reporting it to the city. Sure, the food is good, but there are plenty of other restaurants with good food in LA. Please do not give these people your business. They don't respect people with disabilities. They don't deserve the money. read more

Visited Spitz this past weekend and noticed they have revamped their whole menu. They have begun to serve flatbread pizzas and have decreased the amount of options when it comes to ordering bowls. I tried the Medi bowl and sweet potato fries on this visit. The bowl is pretty good, didn't love the dressing that went with it and ended up using one of their hot sauces on my bowl instead. Each bowl comes with a choice of protein (falafel, veggies, meat, etc.). The fries were amazing, highly recommended!! Huge bonus points to this place for having parking. That stretch of Studio City can be difficult to park in otherwise. Spitz closes briefly for their workers to take a lunch break around 3, so take that into account when planning to visit this location! read more

I've always heard Spitz was a great place for Mediterranean. Used to pass by the one in DTLA but never tried it. Hubby was in Studio City for a meeting, so he picked up a couple of wraps for lunch - I got the the Doner Wrap as it is the most popular and he got the Mediterranean wrap. We shared both wraps and they were delicious. I probably liked mine best - the meat was juice and the wrap was very flavorful. The Mediterranean wrap was also good, had olives in it which to me overpowered it a bit. But overall I like this place and want to try more items on the menu! read more

I initially dismissed this place. Then a friend randomly mentioned eating here and enjoying it very much, so I thought I'd give it a chance. I ordered the beef and lamb doner bowl with everything. It was fantastic! My favorite was the falafel. I haven't eaten a tasty falafel since I was in Israel years ago. There was a generous amount of everything and the portion was so large, I turned it into three meals. Their fries were also fantastic! The ambiance was nice too. Wow, I'm so excited when I find great Mediterranean food and this place is worthy of five stars! The vibe and atmosphere inside the restaurant and outside by the outdoor dining is very colorful and fun, the sauces and water jug by the door are convenient, and the food itself- delish! I got a Street Gyro combo with chicken shawarma and it came with a side (I got a Greek salad) and a drink. It had great flavor, a small kick, and the salad and dressing were so tasty! My friends both got wraps and there was enough there to take half home, so good value, but let's be real, we all finished our food right then and there. Parking is very limited in the back, so I recommend just a street spot- 1 hour limit with the meters, FYI. I was originally scared by the name, but wow, the food was so good. My office ordered lunch from Spitz this week and we all loved it!! I typically wouldn't go out of my way to review a place I've never seen in person because you don't get the whole ~experience~ but Spitz really was that good. Every single item looked so fresh and flavorful - not to mention every dish on our 20+ person order was correct! I got the Remix Bowl with beef and lamb and my only issue was there was so much fresh cucumber and tomato that it was tough to mix everything together. So, no complaints from me! I snuck a few fries from a coworker and they were also phenomenal, even cold which is saying something! Spitz is no where near me, but I'd go out of my way to go back in person. I was excited to try the food from this place as it was marketed as Mediterranean street food and I'm always down to try cuisine from non-American cultures, especially typical street foods. The space and decor was a definite vibe, with graffiti and bright colors all over the interior and exterior of the building, My friend and I ordered our food to go and sat down to wait for it. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, my friend asked if the food would be ready soon, and it turns out they had given it to another party, despite having given us a table number that corresponded with our order. So like 1) why didn't the staff cross check the order with the table number?, 2) who did they even just GIVE our food to and why?, and 3) why didn't the mistaken party check the food before taking it and how did they not realize it wasn't even what they ordered before they ate it? So after shelling out $40 and waiting 45 minutes, starving, we finally get the food and my flatbread was good, the baklava was bad, and my friends food was just okay. All the doner wraps are delicious. Made with care. I ordered a variety for a company meal. Even the Falafel is nice and moist not dry like many other places. All the ingredients inside the wraps are super tasty and fresh. The wraps are pretty big, you get full of a half a wrap and can eat the other half layer. I also had the salad with fresh fried pita nicely seasoned, crispy chick peas, the salad was fresh and super tasty. Honestly the chick peas where it's at! It gives the salad a nice kick. Picked up food from here after a visit to Universal CityWalk. Looked like their patio was open for dining, but other than that, they were enforcing social distancing and masks; which is a good thing during this time, especially in LA. Order was correct and they supplied us with lots of extra sauce and if you know me, I love sauce! Parking can be difficult, so be patient. I did knock them down a star only because it took longer than expected to get our order. Instead of being ready in 15 minutes, we waited an extra 15 minutes... a whole 30 minutes.
