I tried Cado which is a vegetarian sandwich and has fried cauliflower in it. I felt it was a bit dry and could use bit more dressing. The service was fast. The place was clean and maintained. Beautiful ambiance.

This is a great spot for when the work lunch crew can't decide on where to go. Split offers both burgers and salads and both options are equally good. There is usually a long line around lunch time but it moves fast. The food comes out fresh and hot and you can tell they use quality ingredients. It's a little bit on the pricey side but that's just par for the course for a quality lunch spot in San Francisco.

I love Split!!! Their food is made with love! My faves are the Alamo salad The smokehouse burger in a lettuce wrap And their Brussels sprouts!!! I frequently pick up lunch from there and their food is always packaged beautifully and is always super tasty!

This place can be inconsistent--it's either a hit or a miss. Depending on who's preparing your salad, you might get less protein or fewer greens. Sometimes, ingredients are missing altogether. Split needs to improve their consistency. Considering the $18 price for this salad, we should reasonably expect it to be nearly perfect.

Manager welcomed us quickly Food came out quick They had some different veggie options on menu which i found exciting because its rare to have cool menu options for vegetarians ; i got the avocado/goat/crispy cauliflower sandwich Its clean and spaciouS If this establishment wants to improve on customer satisfaction i think the manager needs to be less impatient about taking client orders especially when there are only 4 people in line that came in together.. it comes across as rude and cold. Also, his staff is cold and dry. No hello.. its just food guys, and its a lunch...

For starters, I would never order a salad for lunch, but OMG I'm so glad I did. The Split cobb salad was hella good! I opted for no bleu cheese. Their sirracha ranch dressing is amazing too. I asked for extra since it needed more dressing. The salad is also massive and u can totally eat the rest of it for dinner lol. I would definitely come back again and get my salads here! Also, I really liked their lemonade.

Great find for breakfast in SFO downtown. Great easy to customizable options of scrambled eggs and delicious slides. Quick and convenient ample seating with majority of things self-service. Food is freshly prepared and delicious. Must visit if in the area. One star taken for little room of improvement in scrambled egg but again surely above par so no complaints.

Sahara dessert, coal in your stocking, cinnamon sticks, brick wall, croutons, shredded wheat. What do all these things have in common? They are as dry as the chicken on my Sonoma Sandwich! We had Split cater our Monday business lunch recently in downtown SF. Everything seemed to be using top notch ingredients on my Sammy, side and Iced-T. But for some reason they decided to use Chicken cooked the prior week. It was just silly dry and terrible. Disappointing to be sure and I didn't have time to go out to find something else.

Thin, limp avocado toast - look how thin the bread is!

I know this is a hard neighborhood to run a restaurant right now with so much continued WFH, but I still don't think the quality of the food lives up to the prices. With tax and employee mandate charges, I paid nearly $11 for terrible avocado toast. The bread was thinner than any pre-packaged sliced bread I buy at home and completely soggy, even though I began to eat my toast within literally 2 minutes of them handing it to me (and I had not preordered, either). The avocado is just a schmear of what is basically grocery store guacamole - no whole pieces of avocado, let alone nice looking slices. And then they smother it in arugula, which makes no sense to me - I basically have to eat a cheap side salad before I get to what I actually ordered? This wasn't worth more than $5, realistically.

Lots of good food This place has a good menu. The burgers are pretty tasty. One of my favs is the chicken cobb salad. The first time I tried it I thought it was a bit expensive as I was ordering. Once it came out I thought it was a great deal. They don't skimp on the the chicken bacon or avocado. A solid lunch stop.

What a rip off. Not good value for money. A large coffee the size of a small for $4 and avocado toast total $16. Value $5.

My eldest is a big chicken sandwich fan so we just had to make it happen. Needless to say he was happy. We came during their happy hour and got the donuts holes too! 10/10. My daughter even finished her food and she's a picky eater! The ordering process is a touch screen. There's 2 screens in case you don't know what you want and there's a line. (I tend to feel pressure if there's 1 kiosk.) The employees are incredibly kind. My son had a bunch of questions and they were glad to answer them.

The chicken is extremely moist and tender, almost to the point where the sandwich starts falling apart as you eat it. It's messy, but pretty tasty and a good value for a quick meal. The fully loaded tots are fine, but even with all the toppings they still feel a little plain. They scratched the tots itch, but nothing about them really stood out. Service is very quick and curt, which fits the vibe of the place. The shop itself is small, compact, and usually pretty busy, but it's a great convenient stop if you're around Moscone Center and want something fast. #goodeats

Rooster & Rice is a chain with multiple locations serving up Khao Mun Gai (or Thai style chicken…read morerice), but my most recent order with them really fell flat. I ordered "The Original" with jasmine chicken rice, extra cilantro, cucumber, chicken skin (love that those are free add-ons), and an egg, and while the bowl was fine, all of the flavors felt like they could've been amped up several notches as everything leaned pretty bland and one note. I even swapped in the ginger scallion sauce, usually my favorite with Hainanese chicken, but it still fell flat and didn't bring the dish together the way I'd hoped. The dark meat was okay, if under-seasoned, but the breast meat was honestly pretty rough as it was extremely dry to the point where I was chasing each bite with water just to get it down. I added the chicken spring rolls as well, which were poorly wrapped and fell apart after a single bite, and they used the same overcooked white meat, making them basically inedible. If this is the standard for their white meat, I really think they should either stick to dark meat or make it clear that dark meat is an option without an upcharge. That said, my order was ready right when I expected it to be, pickup was smooth, and the staff were very nice and friendly, which keeps this from dropping lower in rating as I'm likewise hoping this was just an off night.

The Bird, Hayes Valley location, 8.8.26 @ 5:30 PM…read more Counter person David, very nice and really tried to accommodate me along with my order. I had a gift card issued by the restaurant that I had been carrying around for probably over a year. Finally, the timing was right and I was hungry. 1st order the Mango Habanero Fried Chicken Sandwich with Curly Fries. It did arrive quickly, but curly fries were lukewarm and I feel as if I got the bottom of the barrel, mostly bits of fries, very few actual curly fries. 1st bite of the sandwich, I almost gagged. Something stringy kept coming and coming, I honestly thought it was string. I flagged a gal down, her comment "yeh some of the chicken is stringy". David said the supplier "United something" is having trouble as are you, the restaurant with the product they are producing. I asked for a replacement, with a side of mayo, 2nd one not stringy but honestly looked and tasted like pressed chicken and it was white thigh meat. No new fresh fries were offered even though I waited for this 2nd sandwich. Due to the texture and lack of real fried chicken taste, I could not eat this one either. I swear, it's pressed chicken meat. Nothing like I have experienced at your establishment in the past. Not giving up, I ordered a Cheeseburger "Well done" and again a side of mayonnaise. David said that we will prepare it the way you like it. It was NOT WELL DONE, but rare in the middle and the cheese was just sitting on top. I did ask for new fries, which they graciously provided. I must say that this was NOTHING like my 1st experience here. Quality control seems way off. If your Chicken supplier is not giving you a quality product, remove it from the menu until you can find a better supplier. Based on this experience, I don't honestly feel I can return as I'm not confident I will get what I ask for. I will NOT get that Fried Chicken sandwich again. I didn't finish my meal, so asked for a box, then had to go back and ask for a bag. I re-cooked the burger the next day. I have provided 2 photos, 1 of the chicken sandwiches, one of the burgers (raw in the middle) and the ticket for how I asked my burger to be prepared. I wish I had a better review for you, but not at this time.
