Third time here, and we were sorely disappointed. Their house potatoes were from frozen precut packages. Bland and dry like a desert. The kids pancake was okay, best thing other than the side of toast. Ordered the veggie eggs Benedict with the eggs done over medium. Had to explain to the server that over medium eggs are just cooked slightly longer so the yolk is more firm. When the dish came it was beyond hard boiled, where the yolk is crumbly with a green film between the egg white and yolk. That aside the English muffin was a soggy disk of disappointment. It's floppy disposition was caused by a pile of drenched water logged spinach and cooked tomato slice. The twice scramble that my mother ordered came out first, five minutes before the hot mess of a Benedict. It was room temp at best. Really disappointed. We really enjoy the truckee location. Kitchen is taking shortcuts and the food is suffering. read more

This place is adorable and lively!!! I didn't even know this place was here till a friend recommended it. So went on a Sunday morning and snagged the only open table. Others arrived after us but no one ever seemed to have a long wait. The restaurant is small I think 13 tables or something like that. The servers are friendly and attentive. We had Sean and he great! I loved that the mimosa glasses came chilled! The mimosa pitcher is a great price for how much champagne is in it. The food portions are super generous and delicious. Well mooove over... if your thinking of breakfast out, some of the competition may need to do just that. Move over, because Squeeze In is in it to win it. So, it's a bit on the small side, but it's packed with a rather large menu of breakfast fare and lunch items. Tradition runs the gamut here with all the top 10 hits and more from the American menu hit parade. Eggs, breakfast Burritos, biscuits and gravy.. and of course Burgers and sandwiches. I had the traditional 2 egg breakfast and my wife had a breakfast burrito. Hearty portions are served here, so save some weekly calories before coming in for a bite. I never order this, but I did get the biscuit with gravy with my meal. It was good, although a little too much pepper in the gravy, but still tasty. Although busy, they took my name and texted me in 20 minutes. No problem. It was the weekend. The interior is bright, bathrooms clean, and the staff were very friendly. This is the place you want to go. And then go back. We were surprised to find it in a strip mall off of Eagle road but it was highly recommended. It was inviting and warm, as soon as we walked in. We were seated immediately and offered coffee as we sat. The menu is well organized and there is something for everyone, vegans, GF, or carnivores who want all the carbs. Our food was delicious and served quickly. I was struck by the atmosphere - they staff were calling people by their names, asking if they wanted the usual. It was a real family atmosphere and we will definitely be back. The person who sat us, waited on us, checked on us and helped us pay our bill was Nate. He was amazing. Our server was so kind, I loved that they serve Caffeina coffee, nice low key no brow vibe, but my 3 kids and I all tried different adult entrees and one kids meal and it was all mediocre. Everyone got something different and none of us would've reordered what we did and it covered all the basics- pancakes, French toast, bacon, biscuits and gravy. What a cute little spot. We were pleasantly surprised that they seated us so quickly at 10am on a Sunday. Every staff member was very welcoming and had a smile on their face, great service. We started with mimosas, a pitcher was $27 which seemed like a pretty decent deal for the amount of champagne we got. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. There were endless options on the menu, a little something for everyone. We enjoyed the Popeye Omelette and the French Toast. We came here for our Anniversary breakfast. It is such a cute unique little place. We love the alien theme. Our server was nice and helpful with the menu options. Our second visit and just as delicious as the first. Great menu with lots of options for all. Family restaurant that always has a line outside. Fun/eclectic interior, where they let your write on the walls! Bathrooms are clean and bright. All staff are personable, but kudos to our server, Nicole this time. She worried about our order more that we did! She gladly took her time answering any questions that we had, always with a smile. We could see that the rest of the staff had the same demeanor. I recommend their pancakes; super big, fluffy and delicious on their own, but we added chocolate chips and strawberries. Wow! Be sure to ask for the real maple syrup, it's an upcharge, but worth it. I had the carne asada omelet burrito and it came with a side and toast. My husband got the crab-o-licous omelet with mushroom sauce, home fries of sweet potatoes and an english muffin. My one concern is that they don't offer fresh brewed ice tea. All they have is the ice tea from the soda fountain machine. Sorry, but that tastes metallic and processed. Really sat here for 10 minutes trying to come up with some funny quip for the start of this review, and I just can't squeeze it in... anyways, yes Squeeze In located in Eagle ID. So thanks to some Yelpers, we were looking for a decent breakfast spot for a day on our trip, and we definitely found it. We wanted to check out Eagle and this just worked out perfect. Upon waking in we were greeted by Heidi i do believe. Just a vibrant young woman that made you feel right at home, and the owner was also there. Just a pleasant duo running things front of house and a round of applause for the young ladies running things back of house in that kitchen. We started with some coffees and some biscuits & gravy as the Yelp community said not to miss out on. I went and ordered the Racy Tracy, absolutely wonderful scramble that was big, and meaty with nice chunks of bacon, and I loaded up the potatoes w/ cheese and onion, just superb. My girl had the chicken fried steak & eggs and loved it. Between the welcoming atmosphere, the absolutely fantastic food, this was a definite win win, so glad we squeezed it in.... sorry! ;-) read more

We had a bad experience. We put our name in for a party of 8 (only one table sits that many). They said it would be a few mins while they set up our table and they would text us. We waited outside for our text and watched a party of 8 walk in and some young kid working the entrance sat them on our table. After 10 mins we asked about our table and they said it would be like 45 mins lol. I politely said - is that because you gave our table to that group that walked in after us? The kid actually tried to lie to us and say they were there first. Mistakes happen, just own it instead of insulting my intelligence. We just left. We had been there before - the food is just ok and obviously they dont know how to hire competent staff. I suggest Joe Momas - this place is meh. read more

We placed a to go order for the Racy Tracy omelette and the Holy Crab omelette. It didn't take too long for our food to come up. Overall it was good. The crab omelette was filled with king crab! I was not disappointed. I would have liked some type of seasoning. I feel it was missing salt, pepper and Old Bay. My only negative is there were shells and cartilage in it. The potatoes were nice, but they too lacked seasoning. Lastly the avocado on top of the omelette was not fully ripened. The Racy Tracy for the hubby was good! He said it was seasoned perfectly and the portion is actually huge! He did get the mushroom sauce but didn't eat it. Overall I would return to this spot. The newish place is a themed franchise restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Large selection on menu with large portions. But the prices are probably a dollar or two higher than our favorite place in the area. We would rather see them drop the size of the portions as they are quite large and adjust the price downward a bit. Food was good, however. Coffee was good and plentiful. read more

Featured on that "guy" show- this is one Eagle restaurant that serves the alien in all of us. Great omelets with a selection of accompanying sauces. I lived in Truckee for over 20 years. Heard about the Eagle location and had to try it out while I was skiing Bogus Basin (fabulous ski area, btw). To say it was "not the same" is an extreme understatement. 3 adults, 0 kids. I ordered the breakfast burrito with "home fries". The other 2 ordered avocado toast with the same home fries and the 3rd person ordered a Ruben with French fries. The "home fries" were cold and hard. Like the microwave broke to heat up their Sysco precooked product. The Avo toast was soggy. The b-fast burro was mediocre. Same problem with the home fries. The Rueben was bland but the French fries were fresh and off the charts perfect! (Pro tip: order lunch during breakfast at this place. they have to cook it fresh to order). The staff was friendly but seemed new or under trained. Needless to say, for $60 for 3 people for a mediocre breakfast that should have been "out of this world" (nod to the alien theme), it wasn't. Pro Tip to owners: go back to your roots. Bring back the Squeeze as it was in Truckee when you started back in the 1970's. It's breakfast fer dawgs sake! It's been a bit since I was in. Went in today to satisfy my need for a Racy Tracy Omlette that they advertise as being showcased on FoodNetwork. I've had it a few times before. Holy Cow! What I was served was not even close to the previous visits. No more thick slices of bacon inside a bursting with mushrooms. It appeared to have some bacon crumble and a few mushrooms instead. Very pedestrian. It didn't even look like the same dish. Cubed potatoes were gray and dried out as if left in the open air way too long before cooking. Absolutely awful and unappealing. They did bring a complimentary plate of decent hashbrowns instead. Poor meal and way too many obnoxious two year olds at three of the tables make it a no-go breakfast joint for me.
