Super cool 50's vibes inside. Many flavours of Gelato , cone or cup. And.....they even have house made donuts. Is there more ?? I didn't stay long I got a pint to go . 8 bucks . Nice place to stop for a last minute treat. bump and run , you know.

A quaint spot serving fresh gelatos. We got the largest size with four scoops to share for $6, pretty decent price! Their Orange Creamsicle and Banana gelatos were very delicious. Light but full of authentic flavors, not too sweet as well. Wish they have the pistachio flavor when we're there though. Their Espresso made for a good pairing with the sweet treats.

My friends and I came here for a sweet treat and a love of gelato. My one friend once lived nearby and fondly spoke to Staccato so it was a must on our visit. I am glad he knew of it because I am fairly certain I would have walked past it without realizing it was there. It is a nice location but very subtle in the exterior appearance it could be overlooked. Inside was a variety of flavors, plenty of seating, and one helpful employee. As there were only us and it appeared as though the morning had been quiet the atmosphere was very mellow. The gelato slinger allowed us to sample tastings to our hearts content until we settled down on a couple flavors. I opted for the caramel since it is my favorite and I was not disappointed. It was creamy, sweet, goodness! I was super impressed with our stop here!

I've been here a few times and find it to be pretty solid. I like the broad range of flavors they have from traditional ones like lemon to fun ones like basil. I appreciate that they wash and reuse everything! Sometimes, I find some of their flavors overly sweet, but now I just make sure to try them first to figure out what I'd want. Great for a scoop and a saunter any day of the week to be sure!

Decidedly average in a very good location. Nothing out of the ordinary (although they were light on flavor choices (Sunday night?). Unlikely I'd seek them out again... kid working the shop closed a full 30 min early? You get the idea

Astrid is amazingly awesome!!! The gelato & sorbet are good too. We tried many flavors and loved them all. Everything here is so tasty and light. We will be back for sure. Thank you for being so nice and helpful Astrid

I couldn't resist so got 4 donuts to myself, one of each version of donut they have. I also asked how well they last after a day. OG: horchata glaze has a slightly floral taste to me. Regular brioche yeast donut. Good simple template. Got stale after a day. Lychee milk tea creme brulee: same yeast but filled. Excellent cream and excellent crispy top. After a day, the top does melt and become less crispy. Peach cobbler cake donut: nice flavor. It is pretty oily as other reviews have said. Texture wise, between the density of the brioche vs old fashioned. They hold up the best after a day; in fact, the employee said that she liked it better after a day and I could see why - the oil perhaps keeps it not stale and fades away a little. Chocolate bergamot old fashioned: my favorite. Just the way I like my old fashioned as crisp fried exterior with an indulgent dense interior. More dense than the cake donuts. The flavor was deep but not too sweet with a glaze. After a day, it wasn't stale but the crispiness faded. They do TGTG and I would totally do this if I lived in Portland.

Walking in less than an hour before closing, we were surprised to see most of the items still in stock! We ended up picking four things to try: Vanilla Bean Kouign Amann ($7) - This pasty has a sweet yet salty exterior that's complementary in flavor rather than clashing. It's accentuated with a crunchy glazed and caramelized sugar layer that's on the sweeter side. The interior is interesting. There's a cavernous gap right in the center that's filled with a sickly sweet melted sugar syrup. It's unpleasantly sweet and very cloying. The puffed and filled area is large enough that it compresses the other layers so the kouign amann is dense. I've never had a kouign amann quite this sweet before. (3/5) Meyer Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Thyme ($5.50) - This cake is so moist and rich, thick and dense, fatty and rich, that it feels like I"m eating a slab of butter. I'm sure it has just as many calories too! It's quite sweet, although not nearly to the level of the kouign amann. Overall, it's just a really rich and decadent cake. (4/5) Blueberry + Vanilla Cream Brioche Donut w/ Earl Grey ($6) - The top of the pastry is dressed with a cream that has an unmistakably strong bergomot earl grey taste. I wish there was way more cream - there's essentially only a dab on top! The rest of the donut is filled with a custardy light blueberry and vanilla jam. It's not too sweet and has an excellent high quality blueberry fragrance, creating an exceptionally strong blueberry taste. The jam is not too thick and is somewhat syrupy from sugar. The donut itself is really soft and extremely airy. It's the fluffiest donut I've eaten in a long time. (5/5) Raspberry Rose Cruffin ($8.50) - This pastry has some fun dehydrated raspberries sprinkled right on top of a light and fluffy cream that's not too sweet. The cruffin base is buttery in taste and great lamination even when filled with the custard and rose/raspberry cream. This is a heavy cruffin that's very filling. (5/5) Twisted Croissant certainly does some some really delectable treats. It's one of my favorite bakeries in Portland!

I was fascinated by the idea of a Portland cream, kind of like a Boston cream but with maple on top. Then I saw the donut of the month... Banana pudding. I do love banana pudding. I had to get both.
