Awesome place for brunch on anyday. The wait here on sunday morning was about 20mins for a table of 3, but it seemed like the host was going to skip us and give the table away, no you aint bro. Service was decent. Food was awesome though. The biscuits and gravy was really good and I cant complain about that. The scrambles they have are just as good. My boyfriend gives the French toast 8/10. I tried a little bit and it is not bad. I give the crepe 7/10 . I never had crepe with pesto on it before. This is pretty interesting to me. An ideal late brunch spot, especially on a lazy saturday afternoon. the waiting can take a bit, but on a warm spring-like afternoon and free coffee being offered out in front, it sort of melts into an effortless state of repose. yeah, they're probably better and cheaper breakfast and brunch places, but Stack's is at the very least par for the course. the interior is cozy--small potted plants lining the entire dining area. the menu offers an impressive array of frittatas, pancakes, omelettes and skillet breakfasts and the lunch menu isn't too shabby, either. sides can be a bit expensive, but it's cool that they leave the coffee pot at your table. read more

The breakfast food here is definitely delicious. I got the bacon scram and the amount of eggs vs bacon was just right. Aside from that its evenly mixed so you have a piece of bacon in every bite. The potatoes on the side are also just the right side to go with your eggs. Also you have a choice of bagles or toast. Personally i think the toast with the raspberry jam is delicious. We got the blueberry belgian waffles. It was good however the blueberries towards the middle of the waffle were really sweet. So if you don't have a sweet tooth you might not want blueberry waffles. Stacks is my restaurant of choice when it comes to meeting clients on the Peninsula for breakfast. On early weekday mornings, we usually get seated right away. The food is nicely prepared in large portions, and I really enjoy the fresh blueberries in the blueberry pancakes. All the egg dishes, including the Italian frittata, are served without being covered in oil. Although the interior can get loud, I would much rather eat here than at Hobee's. Good thing to go at lunch during the week. I had banana pancakes, my specialty, and they were wonderful. Fluffy and a great batter. Some batters you can just tell have very little love and the pancakes are fine with syrup, but this batter was given much love. Needed very little syrup. The portions are large and pancakes come with sides. You'll be well fed. I was happily in pancake heaven, they've got tons of pancake options, so if love pancakes or minimally like pancakes. I suggested Stacks, thinking of the one in SF in Hayes Valley, but A remembered there was a located somewhere closer to the airport. So, of course, I looked it up on my trust Yelp app and Google Maps guided us to this location. About 7:40am on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, but it definitely started filling up within by 8:15am. I had the Garden Crepe and hot chocolate with whipped cream (it was cold outside!). A had the short stack of the Blueberry Germ Pancakes. Stacks is always really solid with a good portion size and decent price point. Service is always quick and food is always on point. We saw this place when we went to have breakfast at Copenhagen. So when it was suggested by a friend, we decided to try it out. Though we were seated right away, and coffee was immediately served, it took awhile to get our orders and even longer to deliver them. The ambience was definitely a big plus but it was not reflected in the quality of the food, which was ordinary. The pancakes were soggy, and the Eggs Benedict was ordinary at best. It was disappointing because I would have given it 5 stars for the ambiance. But the food and the service only deserved 3 stars. read more

What's all the hoopla about, this place is not that great. I've been here three times and I must say, that if I were to have a choice in a place to grab breakfast I'd go elsewhere I would, but I always go with friends and they want to come here. So being as it may, just to be with good company I settle for Stacks. I came along, it was a day of rainshowers and to get a table of 8 or 10 was nearly impossible, we waited and waited and finally were able to sit down, but we had to be split up because the restaurant can't accommodate large parties on a weekend. So after getting seated I looked at the menu and it was a little pricy for a breakfast joint and so I said to myself this place must be really good to be charging what they do. I ended up getting an applewood bacon and avocado omelette. By the time it arrived I was sadly disappointed that it tasted so bland despite all the ingredients that they put in it. One word, "seasoning", that is what they need to put in it. No taste makes me frown. I then proceded to try the hashbrowns, they were good that time, but the other times I got them they were soggy and had just a mushy texture to it, not what hashbrowns should be. They're called hashbrowns cause they should be browned and crunchy. I then had the bagel, the bagel is not bad. It was hard, but it was still chewy, which gave it a nice texture to bite into and then chew, but it didn't taste fresh, it perhaps could have been stale, but toasted. I've also had the pancakes here and because their name says it all, "STACKS." I had to try them, I had tasted about three of them and they were just awful. Overall, the other two times I've come and I was saddenly disappointed too that the food I've ordered were also tasteless, nothing to rave about. So my two cents are that if I want a good breakfast and at a reasonable price for good quality food and just deliciousness, I'd go to Millbrae Pancake House just a few miles away. Aye! The lines! You had better come to this place super early if you are trying to get some 'stacks on the weekend. There is almost always a line whenever I drive by. It is cool that they put out coffee for those that have to wait, but wow. The menu is stacked with many different options to choose from. Most of it, especially the breakfast menu, is way over priced. Hello? $11.95 or $13.95 for biscuits and gravy? That better be a dozen biscuits and a pound of gravy. Anywhere else and you could get that for five dollars. Anyway, the food was alright. My friend had a scramble and I had the Blue Germ Pancakes. It was just alright. Nothing worth waiting an hour four. And to tell you the truth, besides the cute decor of the place, you could have gotten the same thing at Denny's for half the price. So hot that the AC was non-existent and all the doors were open to let the warm air in. I made reservations for 6 adults and 2 rug rats at 11am on Labor Day. We were 10 minutes late and they gave our table away. Not surprising considering the ridiculous number of people waiting for a table. However, they were so great and had another table ready for us in a few minutes! Awesome!! The place is relatively small and is super popular. They have outdoor seating which is dog friendly. Inside is pretty noisy and it can be hard to carry on a conversation. I ordered the bacon waffle and the husband ordered the huevos rancheros. Everyone else ordered various breakfast goods. The bacon waffle was really good! However, it was drowning in a sea of butter so I felt a little sick afterwards. The huevos rancheros were pretty good, but I definitely won the contest for better dish. Visited Stack's several times at all times of day. The weekends will have a 15 minute wait in my experience. weekdays you will be seated immediately. The menu recently got revamped.
