I've never had an issue with getting in and out of this place but I'm usually just there to grab shipping supplies of which there's always a good supply. I'm sure there's better prices to be found online but the convenience of being just down the street cancels out my desire to wait a few days for a delivery. Customer service, I've always found someone to greet me, help me out, or answer a question. They're generally good about opening up another check stand if there's a lineup. Look, if you're in a rush and you need something printed PLAN AHEAD. Staples IS NOT the kind of place you want to go to if you're in a hurry. Their system on returns needs to be updated . Bought something with my debit gift card (still have it) I bought something I thought was gonna be used . Tried returning it got a cash card.... On the receipt it says it will go back to what ever card was purchased . So I brought my card and they said it couldn't be done . I asked for cash back and said they couldn't do it . So I called customer service , told me that I can purchase another gift card and like that I am able to use where ever I shop. Came back into the store, one of the managers said I couldn't do that . He was rude , not very helpful. And I felt like I was being rushed to get out the store . A customer over heard that whole thing and gave me cash for my card . This is actually great location, except the sign for the staples are not very visible. Clean, spacious store and has its own parking in crowded K-town. I don't know how they manage to do it, but this place never has what I'm looking for. The only times I have successfully transacted here was when I went in to fax something or print and even then it's a craps shoot. One time the disinterested hipster with some steampunk spectacles (not glasses, mind you, but spectacles) took about 20 minutes to work through a line of 3 people. That's literally not an exaggeration. But when you're holding down the job primarily so you can afford all of that mustache wax, the halfhearted effort isn't surprising. read more

This is a general review. I have not used the copy/print center: If you're around Koreatown and need an office supply store, I'd say stop by. I've been in this location a few times (bought a printer and bluetooth headset among other things) and the staff is always helpful and friendly. If you want an item and it's out of stock they'll quickly order it and have it the next afternoon. Awful Staples experience. After receiving a quote over the phone on a print job, I canceled the job with another printer. I thought Staples would be easier and closer to pick up. Boy, was I wrong and what a mess and waste of hours. I couldn't submit my order online as the website was not functioning correctly. I went in and the clerk told me they couldn't do it for that price. The price was crazy. I spoke with the manager and told him what I was quoted over the phone. I asked him to price match the other company especially since I was misquoted (or so I thought at the time). He immediately said no and too bad. Did not believe that I had been quoted that price. I called the Staples in West LA as they've always been great. The gentleman confirmed the quote I had received earlier. He tried to explain to the downtown team, but they seemed perplexed so I quickly headed over to West LA. West LA had told me I would have to submit online or in the store. They wouldn't let me email which they should have allowed after the website and in store issues. Common sense says, allow an email submission in special situations. Once again I explained that something was wrong with their site. I've built websites. I know when buttons aren't working correctly. No one seemed to acknowledge that maybe the customer was correct and there are website issues. Then, in West LA, I was told I would have to go buy a $15 USB to pass the order off to them. I was like, your site isn't working and now you're going to get another $15 out of me? No way. He kindly finally loaned me one after I said I'd happily just get on one of their computers (and pay for that because of course I should pay even though this is their fault that it's not working). We got it uploaded. I couldn't pay with my bosses card of course because it was in store so I forked over the payment for the print job from my own pocket. I later found out they recently swapped out their website and I was on the old site. I had no way of getting to the new site. Clerk said to clear my cache which I know exactly how to do. Cleared and cleared and tried different browsers. No luck. After 3 hours, my print job was submitted. I paid out of my own pocket and will never forget this ridiculous experience. So many barriers, Staples. And your team didn't seem to know how to properly trouble shoot and go the extra mile. Will not print here ever again. read more

If I could rate this location lower than one star, I would. The copy print center is a nightmare and I will NEVER use this Staples or another one again. I have been in several times and every single time I go in to have something printed the price goes up. Then they get annoyed with me as if I'm the problem customer when really I guess no one knows how to ring anything up. A job that in the past costed me $1.12 each to print went up to $1.59, then $2.63 each then I went in today and they tried to charge $10 each hahahhahaha The fact that they are allowed to do this makes the whole franchise look bad and I will never ever ever use staples again. On Saturday, November 19, 2016,I went to this store to purchase a few school supplies to get ready for the upcoming final exams.The cashier who was working the afternoon shift had a long face like he had a bad day or just got yelled by his supervisor. He asked me if I had a rewards card and my response was " No,I don't have one." The cashier went ahead and tell me the total like he just wanted to get rid of me.Other stores, like Rite Aid or Walgreens, offer you a rewards card when you don't have one, but this guy didn't bother asking me. I went ahead and pay and I thanked him for his assistance, yet,he didn't bother to say "You're welcome." Despite my bad experience, I am giving this store 3 stars because I had shopped on this store multiple times in the past. One star for convenient parking. I do not understand how a store that's focused on home office can have such unreliable internet. I had to ask for a manager to get them to lend me the USB drive to print because I couldn't use the standard email procedure. Employees are put out when asked for help. I'm very disappointed in Staples customer service on returns. We bought some ink cartridges to the tune of somewhere around $300. We ended up buying a new printer with different cartridges and asked to return them. Fine they said. They did not provide us with a return address label but instead told us to place the package (without any label) outside our front door and UPS or someone would pick the package up within the next 3-5 days. Really I am suppose to put a package on my porch until someone shows up to pick it up! No one contacted us to say they were coming to pick it up. After a week we called again and pleaded to be able to take it to the carrier our self or the store. Nope, leave it on your front porch someone will show up within the next 3 days. We asked what happens if it is stolen are you going to pay us for it? No answer. 3 more days have passed and we keep hauling it in and out the door. We try not to leave the house alone. THIS IS MOST STUPID RETURN POLICY I HAVE ENCOUNTERED. While the package is on my doorstep there is no insurance coverage. We have no idea who is suppose to pick it up and when. I'm at a loss what to do next. i guess spend another hour on the phone to get another robot person. We have always been happy with Staples, but this incident is making us think twice. read more

Don't come to make copies if you're in a hurry. There are only two self service machines that are too high tech. I've used copy machines since they came into use, but these are way too complicated. You have to ask questions and there's usually others with questions ahead of you or the service person is working on something and you have to wait. There's often people waiting for the two machines, but only one person on duty to help. read more

Ugh horrible. I frequent this place unfortunately because it's the nearest one, specifically for printing services. For our wedding my husband and I wanted to print our table numbers, program, etc and we sent it all to Staples in advance with the specifications. It was pretty much idiot proof but when we went for pick up, it was printed but in the wrong orientation. We had the numbers laid out twice side to side on landscape orientation so we could fold and have it front and back. It was printed and cut off in portrait orientation which we specified before. It took about 30 minutes and another visit for them to fix it. Anything that's not run of the mill, portrait on letter sized paper they will screw up. We also were getting a large wedding program printed here and after saw how incompetent the staff here were, we ended up getting it photo printed at Costco. More expensive but at least we didn't have to waste so much of our time. I also went in again recently because I needed to print something in color urgently. It was a colossal waste of my time and energy because they had 2 computers, one which was broken and the guy at the desk MIA. I waited 15 minutes despite being in a major hurry but I never got to even speak to the guy at desk. Other staff members when asked were pretending to be busy and walked away though I was saying "EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" for help. There's quite a few staff here, it's just no one is doing work. Essentially Staples has failed me 100% of the time, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I will never be returning to this place again and I also suggest you refrain if you have any respect for your time/energy. read more

I hardly write reviews, but I've been waiting here for 30 minutes to make a stupid color copy for a class I teach this afternoon. Their self-service printer is broken, and the guy has been bumbling around for more than 10 minutes, ignoring me. A second employee just came, but she took someone else who arrived later than I did, and I'm pissed. This sucks. This review is for their customer service. Their customer service has improved a lot since I've last shopped at Staples for my office supply needs. I ordered a banner through Jesus and Elizabeth and my expectations were met. Jesus was very helpful and kept me updated with the status of my 8x3 business banner and was very polite and courteous when I had questions or concerns. The new manager, Elizabeth was also very professional and polite as well. She works extremely hard to improve customer relations, after going through several manager changes and I could tell the employees are following through her examples. This review is for the printing and copying station. I literally just left the staples and I must say I was super impressed with the customer service. I have come to this staples throughout the years for random printing...headshots etc ...and got basic service from people mostly but today the 2 ladies who were working the station were exceptionally helpful...professional....and nice to EVERYONE that came to the counter no matter if it was a line or not they treated each person with respect and tried to answer their questions....I was honestly shocked at how nice they were and helpful just because I've had experiences with that type of thing not usually being a great experience....I wish I would have gotten the individuals names but the one that helped me was an african american woman with braids and a very helpful smile. Just thought I would leave a positive Yelp review because it was really nice to experience great customer service. Many times I run to Yelp to complain so I figured the good stuff is important too. She took the time to help me get my copies done (which was a picture of my dog lol) to have it the correct size and quality. I def reccomend anyone to come here for printing needs read more

Basically, it took us about 2 hours to print 2 portfolios. All they had to do was send it through the printer and bind it. Worst store ever. I bought usb wireless card and it was defective. The part you open the box is where the serial number is which I didn't realize. The box where you open has a sticker so I was forced to rip it open which in turn made the serial number on the box damaged when I tried returning the item. The dirty assistant manager aka "BITC*" would not let me return the item. Now I am stuck with a defective product. I will never ever shop at this fucktard store again. read more

I'm glad they opened a Staples in my neighborhood. When I'm out of ink, I run here to make printouts from my flash drive (11 cents each black & white 8.5x11", ~$1 each color 11x17") & it's much cheaper than FedEx Office (which is a total ripoff). I receive faxes for free through eFax, but I send faxes here at Staples after discovering it's also much cheaper than FedEx Office (again, seriously a ripoff!) My only complaint is the workers are never really in a rush to help you, & sometimes I need to get to a meeting ASAP, so plan ahead. I think they could be a little more on point & showing that they care about you with their service. They have a self-serve copy kiosk but they seriously need a self-serve printing kiosk so customers can help themselves!!! read more

Does not care about needs of teachers or students! I usually go to Staples to print posters for my classroom. However, I was denied the use of engineering prints because of too much ink. That's fine, but then again, I was allowed to use engineering prints before. The only option available was for me to pay $30 for a poster size paper versus 2.99 for engineering print. I am very upset because I have donors helping me purchase computers for my classroom from staples. I was part of providing thousands upon thousands of dollars for Staples, and now this location wants to rip off a teacher. The price difference between engineering prints and poster is $27. Teachers stand with me and do not shop at this Staples until they can provide us with a more cost-effective way to print oversized prints for our classroom. Absolutely appalling that they would try to rip off a teacher that is trying to purchase resources for his children. read more

I always come here to fax stuff, print stuff, etc. It is usually a fast process. Then one day I needed to print something from my Gmail account, but because the computers here only have Internet explorer, the page that I needed to print wouldn't open properly. I asked Cynthia how I would go about fixing this problem. I could tell right off the bat she hated her job. She said sorry, we only have Internet explorer and left. I went back to my car and realized, duh I can forward it to my other non Gmail account and I ended up being able to print my papers. Cynthia, you should quit your job cause you obviously don't like being at work. Even if you don't like it, pretend. If you cant, quit. read more

Decent staples in Korea Town Los Amgeles. The service was friendly and even the security guard helped me find what I was looking for. Parking was available and they were well stocked. Staples seems to be really overpriced compared to other stores that have similar products. I would go somewhere else for office supplies in the future, but it will work fir emergencies if needed. read more

I also bought a laptop there, they buttered me up about paying an extra 100 dollars for insurance. When the computer crashed 6 months later, I went to return it. They told me that I did not have the right insurance. I asked them what the insurance I paid for was good for. They answered me that the insurance I paid for was useless...
