Pretty standard starbucks. I haven't had a bad experience here but also haven't been wowed. Great location and walkable from plenty of restaurants and shopping. The movie theater is around the corner. There's metered parking in front which seems to be full often but there's also a parking structure across the street for Main Street in general. read more

I think this is the closest Starbucks to my home. It has great wood doors and a decor of an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. Many of the guests are students with laptop in hand, studying for finals. I feel good about the staff and location of this Starbucks, in comparison to my last venture in Highland Park. Always good and fresh coffee, honestly I have to admit that convenience is very helpful now a days. I went for a power walk and forgot my wallet. There is a Starbucks nearby but I never thought that I was gonna go for a cup of coffee. Here I am using my cellphone to pay. I'm a slave of technology in that matter but no other coffee shops nearby are as convenient and fast as Starbucks! I have a Mc Donalds closer but I never try using apple wallet. Technology gives business such a competitive advantage and put that extra convenience on top of costumer service. At one point everything will be virtual and business have to adapt to it. So two thumbs up for convenience, quality and speed. Plus free wi-fi . I come to this Starbucks mainly out of convenience and also because I have consistently received very good service here. The employees are all very friendly, the atmosphere is busy but not rushed, and I always get a lot of work done here. I know people often complain about the taste of Starbucks is not worth the price. In my opinion, the price is not for the quality of the coffee (which I think is fine although it's not gourmet), but for the atmosphere. And that's why I come back, although I do take care to come early in the morning to ensure I get a seat (seating is very competitive). read more

I went here because I drooped off my son to go to his school workshops. So I figured I'd relive my college days and hang out at the nearby Starbucks. This one is located at a major intersection. There is a public parking garage nearby, but I lucked out and parked at the 2 hour parking a few feet from the place. They have a nice outdoor patio where you can relax the great California weather. Inside is spacious. They have the common area for sitting, the take home souvenirs, all pretty much the standard. I got here early so the place was still pretty clean. They was a lot of customer traffic but they got through the like right away. I like it because the people that are in the shop. I like to people watch and the spot I got in the store is perfect (right in the corner by the bagged coffee). It's Halloween and these two little girls walked in. One is Cinderella and the other is Maleficent. So cute. Overall a good representation of what a Starbucks should be read more

Mobile order is faster and you don't have to wait in the line. Just pick it up and out the door you go. I usually park on the parking structure at first street and walk about 2 minutes. Parking might be hard to find in the morning during rush hours. Street parking is available but look out for the signs. The baristas are super nice and friendly. When I'm there in person, it takes a very long time to get my order and usually more complex orders are done before mine, even though they were placed after me. They were out of what I wanted and as the person at the front was giving me alternatives I saw the manager shoot eyes at her and looked like he was trying to signal NO to her. The staff are friendly and no issues with the food or the coffee drinks. The problem is this location is usually too busy to find a table, and now after the recent renovation there are no outlets. Unlike other Starbucks where you can find wireless chargers on the tables and outlets thrroughout the store, here you're on your own. The upshot of course is that there is now greater turnover at the tables and you're not likely to trip over a cord lol. read more

This location keeps changing little bit at a time. They had a bunch of tables lined up and velvet ropes to walk around to form a line. Now it's a wooden rail to walk around and noticing less tables as if they don't want you to camp out. There are tables outside but the downfall would be no outlets to charge. Used to be all short tables and not there are a few high top tables where a long table used to be. Menu is always the same with regulars coming like the TV show, Cheers. Baristas greeting them like Cliff and Norm. I don't understand what people do when they park. Please don't take up two spots just because you don't know how to parallel park in the green curb zone. There are some comfy sofas and tables available inside and tables and chairs outside next to ColdStone. The only bad thing about this place is the parking. Like many other Starbucks, this one is very busy in the morning. There are ample reasons that it gets three stars. I have been coming here consistently for years and always ask for exactly the same grande drip. Few server remembers that. In addition, I ask for low fat milk every morning and it's never at the self-help area (they only put half & half at the station). Little things like such tell me that the service style is impersonal and insensitive. This is not the case at the South Pas. location (on Huntington and Fremont). The service there is so much better. The service was so great here, I couldn't help but applaud them with a Yelp review. Yesterday, I spent my first night in a new apartment, in a new city. I had work in the morning and I'm a RN. A nurse without caffeine doesn't play nicely with others. The world should know this, so I am educating you now. I ordered my usual-- grande coffee in a Venti cup. The cashier rang me up and my card wouldn't read. It wasn't declined, it just wouldn't read. She politely made me aware of the situation but told me it was okay. I told her I could go to my car and get anther card or cash in which to pay. She politely declined my offer and told me it was just a cup of coffee and that it was fine. I noticed there was only one person behind me, so going to my car wouldn't have caused any trouble for her nor I, yet she didn't want to inconvenience me. What service! Why did they change their story!? Why can't they just tell me the truth at first? I came here to use the free macchiato coupon. First, they told me it's at participating stores only. You kidding me? I told them I used this coupon at this exact location a few times already. They knew this excuse did not work, so they changed the story and said it's a scam. They said they need they actual coupon. They showed me how the real coupon look like and said the one I had was someone who scanned it in. OK, I am fine with realizing that the coupon I had is a scam (after successfully using it for 4 times already), but why did they try to drive me away by telling me that it's participating stores only when they are actually one of the participating stores? Can't they be honest to me up front at first? Very upset. I left the store upset without buying anything. Also parking here sucks now. There used to be a free public parking lot in rear, and now it's $5 flat rate. Ain't paying $5 to get a coffee! To get free parking, you will have to try your luck with the limited time parking in front (which was always free) or park a block or 2 away and walk there. There's not too much to say about this Starbucks...parking can be a hassle if you can't find street parking, though if you come early in the morning it really isn't an issue.
