Venti iced matcha latte w/ vanilla cold foam
    Reine N.

Staff here are welcoming and quite patient - I had quite a few questions regarding modifications and the cashier was kind to walk me through the different options. The 3 stars was more for the quality of the drink. I believe Starbucks updated the type of matcha they use, but for some reason the iced matcha latte I got didn't have a super vibrant green color that I've received in the past. I contemplated asking for extra matcha but decided to go with the standard recipe (4 scoops for a venti). The flavor ended up being a bit faint for my preference, so I'd likely order a different drink next time. If you're a matcha fan, this might not be the location for you. But if you're looking for some sort of coffee or tea drink, the service is quite efficient and parking is plentiful!

Props to Jenifer to one of your employees who was working on her own riding solo as a Cashier & Barista on Saturday evening. She's the absolute best of the best. She killed it! (Not literally lol). No other people can do that but her. The service was just overall amazing. I would definitely come back to see her again. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. Ambiance here was nice and calming. Thanks to Jenifer!!!!!!

Leaving a review thanks to a specific visit. Came here on a Monday night. It was calm and quiet, music playing and customers busy on their laptops. Alyssa was at the the register, very friendly and let us know that we could adk her any questions. I had a question about a Wicked drink and she went above and beyond to research on the drink, check with coworkers and provide me with information on the kind of drink I was asking, how to order it. Lynn was working as barista and calmly assuring each customer that their drink was being worked on. She was very kind and sweet, even complimented me on my outfit. I've never felt so comfortable, welcomed, and supported in any Starbucks location and with these specific employees. Thank you!

This coffeeshop is located at Almansor and Valley among the various retail stores in this busy strip mall style area. The clientele were playing chess outside, and students were studying inside while waiting for or enjoying their drinks. Although I was just having an iced tea, I enjoyed the experience the experience mixing up with locals who frequent this relatively new store...

I'm not quite sure how many people work at this store. For example, right now, I feel like there's at least six or seven employees. However, when I walked in, I was not welcomed not by a single person. I stood at the register for a while waiting to have anybody acknowledge me or take my order. Eventually, two people approach the register and one of them is a manager maybe she's a shift manager. Either way, what she did was tell her employee to check out immediately. He went ahead and did that but still I had not even been acknowledged. I'm sorry, but that's some pretty crappy customer service. At one end of the bar drinks were being made very slowly. And on the other end, closest to the kitchen or back room area, there were several employees huddled around, talking about the difference in packaging orders, and also the differences in packaging of shipments of lemonade that they received. I don't know about you, but that seems pretty unimportant when you have a customer waiting. I was really unhappy with the service that I received here. And the amount of time that it should've taken to prepare my drink, it took a considerably long time as well. I did request a coffee cake loaf. I was never asked if I wanted it warmed up. There are all these little things that I guess I'm so used to because of the other store that I typically go to, but regardless, nobody acknowledged me. Customer service was locking. And then on top of it all, you didn't even ask me how I would care for my loaf to be prepared. That was kind of crappy. It looks like you guys have a lot of mobile orders going out and that's cool and all but what about the orders for the people who are in your store right now? The employees here could've been way better about even acknowledging the fact that I was there and maybe even let me know he will be with you in just a second. I'm so sorry. Nope. Not a word. Not a welcome nothing. The store is very neat and it's kept very tidy. One of the main tables in the center of the dining area is used apparently for hours on end. Lots of guys gather here to play a game that is either chest or checkers or some sort. Either way, they sit there for hours and hours and hours. They enjoy their Starbucks and their refills. It's kind of cool to see that still because that is something that I haven't seen since I was a kid. And it didn't used to be at Starbucks stores. It was at old mom and Pop donut shops. Their bathrooms are code protected. We just have to have the cashier. They will probably just roll their eyes at you and give it to you like they did to the two other guys before me.

I have visited this location numerous times in the past, although I haven't been here recently. The service was exceptional as always. I received two bags of whole bean coffee for Christmas and decided to come in to ask the staff to grind them. Jonas was very helpful and assisted in grinding the beans, providing exceptional service at this location, as always.

Everything deserves another chance. Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, let us settle the matter," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

I made a order through the mobile app. Came to the store and no one is here. Door is locked and had 4 other customers waiting outside. Wtf???

Stopped by for a couple refreshments and made a quick pit stop. Oh my goodness! Nothing says, "We don't care" more loudly than a disgustingly filthy restroom. As a consumer, when I see customer facing spaces like these, I wonder what the back-of-house spaces look like! Buyer beware!

I always order this drink and it's always full & for some reason the barista named Julio in this location made it and looked like this, I've gotten the same drink at this location but never looked like this, this is basically basically a grande drink in venti size cup... crazy work...

Finally, a real croissant place in this part of the SGV! After fulfilling my wishes for real coffee…read morewith Yihui and Monolith, the pastry God has answered my call for flaky crunchy fancy schmancy croissants in the West SGV. We tried the kimchi bacon with salted egg, pistacchio Dubai chocolate, plain, and a couple of cream puffs. All the croissants were deliciously crunchy flaky, my favorite is the pistacchio Dubai chocolate but the kimchi was also very creative. All the cream puffs were also great but personally croissants are harder to perfect for me so this is the spot for that. I also had a pistacchio cream latte that was delicious as well. The pricing is on the higher side compared to other pastries but if you're used to getting croissants elsewhere like at Delight (Pasadena), Bread Lounge (DTLA), Friends & Family (Los Feliz) then this is on par. With the care that goes into making the pastries here, they are justified to charge this type of pricing.

Cute dessert spot amidst SGV, just adding more lines to the area's already lengthy list. Kinda envy…read morehow many options they had now and wished they could've been closer to central LA. Browned seemed to start it's popularity via the choux but expanding its wings into croissants as well. The choux was quite petite so it's perfect that you had to order in minimum set of 4, also meaning able to try different flavors as they offered plenty. We tried Earl Grey, Maple Pecan with Chocolate coating, Hojicha with Black Sesame, and Taro with Salted Egg Yolk. They were all so peculiar and luscious in their own way and you'd be pleased by the full stuffing. If I had to pick my top 2 I would go to the last 2 and the Taro Salted Egg was even not to skip IMO. Perfect blend of sweet and salty flavors in one bite. Both the Hojicha and earl grey served very solid tea flavors with bit hint of bitterness. They did regular drop for the choux for pre order, but if you prefer looking at the showcase then making choices just like me, worry not as ordering was pretty swift and no long line.

Torotea has become one of my go-to's in the SGV although they are definitely on the pricier side…read more The interior is modern and cozy, but there is no space to sit and chit chat, only a space to sit to wait for drinks. They provide self-serve water outside of the store in the case that there is a long wait. Fortunately, this has never been the case when I have visited. The employees were also super helpful and very well-versed with their menu. They knew exactly what drink paired well with what jelly. All the drinks are true to the taste profile as described on the website. The Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi is one of the most popular items and it was indeed very buttery. It had a very unique taste profile, but definitely not for me. I personally really really really enjoyed the Misty Oolong MT which had a light-roasted, malty flavor with subtle buttery highlights. It paired perfectly with the osmanthus jelly. The best drink Torotea has to offer by far!

Second time visiting this location, and it was just as good as I remembered!…read more I hadn't been here in a few months, and it looks like they've expanded their menu. They also added more outdoor seating, which is nice since the interior is pretty small. Parking is street parking only, but I've never had any trouble finding a spot. Emily, the cashier, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She took the time to walk us through the new seasonal drinks and menu additions, which made it much easier to decide what to order. Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapioca ($7.85) - My go-to drink! - Perfect level of sweetness without being overpowering - Rich, creamy, nutty flavor - Brown sugar tapioca had the perfect soft and chewy texture (only wished it was cut a bit smaller) Pinewood Milk Tea ($6.85) - Similar to the Popcorn Milk Tea, but with a lighter, more subtle nutty flavor - Still delicious, though I personally prefer the Popcorn Milk Tea Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea ($6.85) - A great option if you're looking for something lighter and more refreshing Everything was made well, and the service made the experience even better. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Love that they still do daily samples!
