If I could give a zero I would. I'm not sure why I have gone back here, but today I decided to and sat in the drive-through and got stuck for over a half an hour. My simple drink when I finally got to the window was not what I asked for, and was covered on the outside of the cup with coffee. They fixed it. I got it back and the outside of the cup was still covered with coffee all over it. My hands were covered in coffee. I will never ever go back to this location. They are slow. There was no apologies for how long it took. There was no greeting. From what it looked like from the drive-through window. They had plenty of people working, so I'm not sure what the issue is at this location. I am happy at other locations. They've always been wonderful, but this one is the absolute worst! read more

I have been to many Starbucks over the years, this one was best by far. My drink was fixed quickly and just how I ordered it. The baristas were so friendly and very helpful ! Need to be a little more vigilant on emptying their trash cans. Every time I come here their trash cans are always overflowing with trash. This is a fairly newer location, maybe a few years old but it is always messy. The employees are friendly and prompt to take my order. I have not had an experience with a burnt shot and as most locations they don't seem to keep blonde roast brewed all the time. But they do offer a pour over if I want. When I've used their drive thru I've had a decent experience that I've not seemed to have had to wait too long. So all I really think they need to do is clean up a little bit and they might be a great store. Although my favorite saying is I really think they need to change their name to 5bucks instead of Starbucks since anything I want isn't under $5. But I doubt I will quit going I'm a junkie and a stockholder. read more

I visit this Starbucks daily. I always wear my mask -- over my nose. When I pulled it down to authenticate into the Starbucks app this morning (because I couldn't remember my password), the barista exclaims loudly for me to put my mask back on. This was both embarrassing and unnecessary. Just a tip: If someone comes into your business everyday, always wearing a mask, maybe you should practice better judgement by giving the person a second to pull the mask down to authenticate. read more

I go to this Starbucks 3-4 times a week. I have never had a bad experience. If my order isn't perfect or they are sold out of an item, they are quick to do anything they can to make up for it. I usually go in the morning between 7:45-8:15. While it is definitely busy, the staff is attentive and kind. There is one employee that has always rose above and beyond every time I visit, Alex, he is so fun and brightens my morning! This morning I walked in to get my usual order and found that every cup on the pick up station had a kind note attached. I love Starbucks and it's consistently soothing atmosphere. I stopped here in the midst of a frantic day of Christmas shopping and was greeted with the dulcet tones of a jazzy Christmas tune. Instantly the tense muscles in my neck and shoulders start to relax and I breathe in the warm earthy odor of coffee brewing. This is instantly my favorite stop of the day. I feel like a naughty school kid who's cut class to relax. The bonus is that I am actually here to cross a few people off my Christmas list by purchasing several gift cards and a pound of coffee. Two of the employees go searching through cupboards and cabinets and one even goes in the back to try to find me a pound that might have been misplaced or overlooked, but no luck. Relax, Mimi, drown your sorrows in a warm venti gingerbread latte topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of molasses. See, now, it's all better. I just remembered that I bought a pound for MYSELF last week and it's still in the trunk of my car. Who am I kidding? I am not giving up MY pound of this ambrosia that is only available SEASONABLY. I'll try another Starbucks on the way home to pick up a pound for my friend. For now I am lost in the molassesy goodness of my latte and all is right with the world. Good ol faithful, that's how I describe Starbucks!!! My go to coffee when all else fails. This location is super convenient for me as it is on my way to work. Never had a bad drink made here and the customer service has always been on point. Drive thru is a plus in the morning with my kiddos, don't let the line deceive you it moves really quick!! Yikes. I generally have such fantastic and friendly service at Starbucks. Everything started well with the barista even commenting on my friends necklace. After waiting a little longer than normal time in the drive-thru for our drinks and two breakfast sandwiches we finally received the last drink which was a mess. We're talking drippy coffee all over the cup and not even an apology or even a napkin. What was extremely disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment after we received our order - no goodbye, no have a nice day. Nothing. Now, I'm not usually one to complain about these things but this Starbucks is going to need to step it up if they intend to be in Bakersfield. Because I swear, 99% of the other Starbucks offer some kind of welcome and goodbye. Overall, the friendly factor was not here. And when asked for napkins to clean up the messy drink made by the barista you would have thought she was practicing her softball pitch. Napkins flew into our car like confetti! Waited over 50 minutes for an order placed in store for five items. Waited patiently trying to be understanding of how busy things could be only to find that ONE, the order was under the wrong name. (Name given had three letters and spelled out at register), and TWO, it was placed in the online order section. Amusement park stop before heading out and we are leaving almost an hour late. This is not the first instance. One other time, also waited over 30 minutes for an in store order and the order was never made or placed for pickup at counter. So I came to this Starbucks on my lunch break from work thinking I could get my coffee within at least 10 minutes, that way I could get energized for my work day ahead of me. BOY WAS I WRONG! I can't believe I had to stand there and wait for about 20 minutes give or take just to make me a hot beverage... Mind you there was like 6 workers there, none of them seemed like they were really in any sort of a rush to help their customers on time schedules. Most of the people going to Starbucks are either on their way to work, or on lunch. Totally unacceptable timeframe to be waiting especially for just a hot drink. I DO NOT recommend this location at all if you have anything important to do within the next 30 minutes or so.. I usually love this place, because it is so close to my house. But today as i was driving through i got my drink order wrong, but i wasn't upset because it's a little bit complicated. So i just asked for a little cup of sweet cream so i could add a little bit extra so it didn't taste so bitter, but then Kennedy, the barista, tried to charge me for it. I wasn't upset about it i was just confused because it would usually be easier for them to give me a little bit extra so i can quickly fix it instead of making them remake it and waste their time. I've ordered this for so long so i know what tastes wrong with it. She didn't like that i was confused about the price and told me that i ordered the wrong thing when i told her i always ordered this she kept bugging me about what was wrong with it. When i told her she kept saying that it was just my order. Then i told her she could just remake it correctly and i would be fine, so after a few minutes of talking to her manager she finally agreed she would remake it. Poor customer service via drive through. I purchased 2 green teas, one with peach and one without. I always taste my drink before I leave the establishment bc for some reason the taste is not standard across all Starbucks, even though it's just tea!! I ask the cashier for extra sweetener and he proceed to tell me that he can give me sugar packets bc he can't take the drink back due to Covid. I asked for liquid sweetener on the side in a small cup bc this is what other Starbucks have done when the drink wasn't sweet enough. He got it and came back to the window with an attitude stating that he will do it for me this time, but next time he will not because it's against company policy. Out of alllll of my years of drinking at Starbucks I have never heard such bullshit!! So I returned my drink and received a refund. I'll take my business somewhere else, where they will be more than happy to provide customer service without an attitude!!! read more
