She/They/? treated me like I had no sense and kept interrupting me. They were very condescending, hostile, and insulting and very loud. This Starbucks without fail gets my order wrong every single time!!! I never want to make a scene and it's always too busy for them to correct but I will never be returning. My order is the same every single time. I get 2x iced quads with LIGHT ICE and EXTRA FOAM!!! It's a mobile order. It's written on the cup. I pay almost $4 extra for the FOAM for both orders. EVERY SINGLE TIME there is ice to the brim and a spritz of foam. I have wasted an embarrassing amount of money and time hoping they will read my order and make it correctly. It is the closest Starbucks to me. It is neverrrrr correct and I'm paying for ingredients that I never receive ever! I recently stopped by the is Starbucks located near Piper Glen in Rea Rd. This location has been here for many years so they obviously are doing something right. I found the store to be very clean, well stocked and the atmosphere was welcoming. The customer service is very good, the associates are very knowledgeable and helpful. My order was taken quickly and the wait time wasn't bad but I noticed that a line quickly formed after I ordered and there was only one associate to do all the work. She worked as efficiently as she could and got the rest of the orders taken care of. There are plenty of seating areas here, indoors and outdoors. However, some of the areas aren't clean and that may be because they were short staffed. Overall, I had a good expert but it could've been better. read more

Over the last 3 years this place has steadily gone down. I used to enjoy going there with my son. Ofcourse when you stay in the store you order more than just one coffee (even though it's overpriced). These days however I wouldn't dream of sitting there. The floors are ALWAYS dirty, the tables aren't cleaned regularly, the chairs, especially the sofas are dirty on closer inspection, at least one of the trash cans is usually overflowing or ready to overflow. The seating changes they brought in after Covid gave away spot near the window to coffee stirers instead of ppl. The only thing good in the store is that the baristas are friendly. However, today I did run into a barista who did not know that Starbucks has a cup size called "short". Really? That size has been there for more than a year! Oh and a note about the food - Starbucks doesn't have a lot of options but this store barely keep ANYTHING! The Starbucks grilled cheese and fruit and cheese box are the only 2 things a lot of vegetarians can order and they rarely have any of those. So ya .... Not great read more

It's the season to get Pumpkin Spice Latte. Wanted the largest size available. The menu board reads the Grande size which is the standard. They make Venti as well as all of the other sizes. Not packed at this Starbucks. Great place to get some work done. Outlets available near the table. Can juice up phone. See other patrons on laptop. Definitely, have breakfast and lunch here and use facilities here. Nice size patio outside too. See CVS across from Starbucks entrance. Tables are clean too. Staff came out to empty trash. First I ordered my drink by App. It said my drink will be ready by 1:28pm. I went to pick up my drink at 1:30 pm but my drink is not ready. When I was waiting, I witnessed a gentle man flirting with one customers and laughing same time another lady came and help her drinks. So I witnessed two people were helping one customer ordered. Two more ladies behind me they all get theirs ordered and I haven't get my order until 1:40 pm. So I started asking questions " do you get my order? One lady said where is IPad" to another girl. She went back inside and brought IPad and ask my name again. She found it and the other guy starts to make my drink. I waited for 15 minutes to get my drink. I am very disappointed and never going back to that location ever again. They wasted my time. They don't want to do their job and all they do were flirting and talking and laughing. They should not be in this job. Horrible service. read more

Place is usually pretty busy so if you're in a rush , I'd skip it. The order ahead is always overwhelmingly busy and it feels like you're waiting quite a while if you actually came into the store. The people are always friendly though and the drinks are generally good and made correctly. read more

I'm giving this updated review because everytime I come in Jose has been there and he goes beyond any employee I have ever seen at a Starbucks. He is always working hard, helping customers, answering phones, and helping his co workers. Today while taking my order the young lady whose name wasn't clear Asked Cristina if they had a ham and Swiss and she said idk. Didn't try to help her look. Jose while filling the cold stuff in the front asked her what are you looking for she let him know. He said oh you still have enough of those your only out of some other sandwich. Yes, I'm a fan! The rest of them workers need some training in customer service and just friendliness in general. I came in again, yes I love Starbucks, and Josh was making my drinks, he was was super awesome too. Guess who's never been to Starbucks?Me! I've never been a coffee drinker in the past so I've never had a reason to visit. It was a hot summer day and after going for a walk in the park I ran out of water and came in to ask for water.After the cashier took my order,I asked the barista to hold off on the ice.She didn't respond and simply stared at me as if I had said something obscene.She then slammed the drink on the table and I thought she was having a terrible day until she completely changed her attitude to a welcoming one to another guest behind me. I took a sip and realized the water was actually warm.I wasn't expecting that and went back in to ask the same barista for ice.She stared at me again and proceeded to roll her eyes and then she finally spoke.She said,"That's why we add ice,because it's warm." She could've made me aware when I asked to hold off on the ice.Now I understand my presence was too annoying for her to provide me decent service. Location, Location, Location! It's the main thing that differentiates this Starbucks from so many others. It's patio overlooks the always bustling McAlpine Creek Greenway entrance. It also doesn't hurt that is located in the corner opposite Trader Joe's either. Its coffee however is no different from any of its other dozen or so locations within a 5-mile radius... you either love it or you hate it. In my experience, the service offered at this location is also a level above the typical Starbucks. None of this goes unnoticed by its customers, however, as this it is typically packed inside and out. Although not a real fan of its products, this is my go-to location when I do go. Everything considered, this is the only location in Charlotte that I rate above 3 stars. read more

What sends this local business aficionada back to a monster coffee chain again and again, you ask? Simple: location, friendly staff and consistent menu options. I'm a fan of small, local business...the lone ranger against the corporate giants, but occasionally, I need to be able to walk to a coffee shop to meet with a friend or coworker, and this spot does the trick. No other coffee places are within a comfortable walking distance from where I live, and its proximity to the greenway is also a plus. Grab a coffee, take a stroll. Something to note: I think the new(er) manager is making some good strides in giving the staff something to be proud of. I'd still like to see more customer interaction and less internal banter. Sometimes it's frustrating when they just keep talking to each other and griping about this or that. I must admit, though, you can always count on them to have the same things across the board. I appreciate their sampling of new products for you to try and many are quite tempting options! My favorite aspect of customer service to observe has been the free water situation. Years back, they had a big cooler and small cups available for a self-service water station for all the thirsty greenway walkers who didn't have enough sense to bring a water bottle or use a water fountain. Then it disappeared for a while and they gave out cups of ice water to people who waited in line to ask for it. Finally, they've settled on a slender water bottle and small cups in a secondary location that makes water accessible for all, but in a classier way. It's fantastic. I love the outdoor seating area, and have spent many hours out there. I'm also a fan of a few of the seasonal drinks offered (who isn't?). I really appreciate the organic packaged convenience foods by the register, too. Sometimes, despite its deliciousness, you just can't justify ordering a giant muffin or slice of cake! read more

I had a horrible experience at the Rea road Piper Glen location this morning around 9:15. I placed a mobile order said it would be ready at 9:10. I arrived at 9:15, my coffee was not there it took forever to get anyone's attention they were all talking and laughing behind the counter. Anyway I finally said excuse me where is my mobile order that said it would be ready by 9:10. The girl said I don't know are you sure your st the right store and kept making the drink she was making, basically dismissing me. I than shouted over her to the other person that was behind the counter. Hello can I please get some help I place mobile orders because I have to go to work at a certain time and you all are msking me late. She rolled her eyes looked at the computer and goes oh ya here it is hold on. Than she made the drink all messed coffee all over the outside of the cup more creamer than actual coffee I couldn't even drink it after going through all of that. I had a busy day today st work but I plan to call tomorrow morning and request a refund or something. No apology I'm sorry for the inconveniences was ever said, basically got the drink thrown at me. My preferred place to study for school or exams - tables are good size (one in particular can fit two people, but I like to grab it for myself since my books and papers need to be spread across a larger table). Outdoor seating is nice and overlooks the start of the greenway. Not a huge fan of the coffee, that's a blanket for all of Starbucks, but no offense intended. This location is great for some of the other non-coffee options and hanging out on the great patio. Watch the sunset or take a breather from walking on the greenway. This location used to have a cooler of water on the inside for the thirsty walkers and runners, but no longer. A bit of a letdown. You can just ask for a cup of water at the counter, though. Staff is nice and quick to help. pretty standard for the Starbucks brand. This location can get busy at all hours of the day so make sure to stake your claim on a comfy seat when you can. Wall sockets are few and far between here, too. I have severe dairy allergy I requested that they used coconut milk but they clearly used regular milk I broke out bad! I should have known when I didn't taste the coconut! Don't be lazy and not fulfill a customers request especially if they're paying you to do so. I can't take that chance on my health anymore this is my last time attending a starbucks it's too risky and sometimes people don't care about other people I mean I get it people are annoying sometimes but always treat them how you would like to be treated that's when good karma returns back to you. read more

Getting a rewards card and a pit stop on the Greenway! This is my favorite Starbucks location in my area. Very cool and intimate vibe inside and great location. I have started making this my pit stop before making the return leg of my round trip walk on the Greenway. Staff is super nice and stays on top of this busy store. Love the greeting regulars get here. Starbucks was genius in making sure they got this location when Piper Glen Shopping Center was remodeled. The indoor seating seems a little cramped, but there is a lot of outdoor seating which I like to take advantage of when the weather is nice. I am not a huge Starbucks fan BUT I do enjoy their iced coffee. They use their medium blend which is smooth and doesn't have the burnt taste like so many of their coffees have. Feel free to request a flavor to be added as well. The Hazelnut is pretty darn yummy. I like this location too. It's great for people watching and it seems to be a must visit for all of us coming off of the greenway, so be warned this place can get crowded quickly. read more

I Love Coffee. I bike commute to work. So, out of convenience, I stop at this Starbucks on average of three times a week. The fact that I choose to stop at this one is not small. I literally pass five Starbucks each day. We all know the coffee is good, if not highly caffeinated. The staff at this branch is friendly and have yet to mess up a drink order! The outside seating area is a big draw. I hop on the Four Mile Creek green-way from here and I imagine you could people watch for hours a day. Inside seating is not plentiful and as this shopping center also has a Trader Joe's, parking can be hard to come by. read more
