On Dec 17 I ordered Gingerbread Latte which I didn't realize had so much caffeine. I'm not allowed to have any caffeine and I wanted a holiday drink. Slow service and a frustrating experience overall. My order was incorrect even though I repeated it multiple times, so something clearly broke down at the register. The cashier may have been new or simply not hearing properly, but the result was the same--wrong order and wasted time. Customer service from the staff is not up to par and feels very inconsistent, regardless of whether the place is busy or not. I go to Starbucks not because the coffee is exceptional, but because the location is close and usually convenient--but lately even the convenience factor is slipping. This location needs to tighten up its order accuracy and customer attention, because right now it's falling short. read more

The 4 stars is because the employees let me hang out in the restaurant for a very long time doing work. Really the food and drink were very middle of the road. I ordered an egg nog latte and I have to say that was absolutely terrible. Probably the worst drink I've ever had at a coffee shop, but I had never had one so I wanted to try it. I also had an egg white and feta wrap. The hot food options are heated in a fancy microwave so they go cold pretty quickly. This feels like a healthier option, but wasn't anything that stood out. It's tucked inside the Ventura blvd plaza along with other local shops like Sees candies, Amazon Fresh, and CVS. This Starbucks location is convenient for people who want to sit and relax & people watch. I also noticed a couple of people with their laptops working, it's a nice place to get a cup of coffee with a friend & catch up or for a casual date. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and took our order quickly. My friend got the new cranberry bliss bar. It's like a shortbread dessert covered in a cream cheese frosting with hint of orange and cranberry. That's a seasonal treat for cranberry lovers. They also had seasonal cake pops with teddy bears and Santa hats, chocolate chip cookies, and other savory snacks for those who are extra hungry. I got the skinny vanilla latte with oat milk, which I absolutely love. I think the only thing missing was the Barnes & Noble that used to be next-door but besides that it's a really nice location. Hi Yelpers, On my re visit to this location I now have toi give them 5 stars. The customer services has greatly improved and the speed of how fast things come out! ! It is far superior to the Sherman Oaks location on Ventura Blvd & Noble. The customer service it's much better than Sherman Oaks!!! The only suggestion I have just like Sherman Oaks, the restrooms are not kept clean the same in Sher The floors are very dirty, just not kept clean. Example at McDonalds in Encino right down the street, the restrooms are kept like a Hospital as clean, if not cleaner.!! Maybe a better system than Starbucks with regard to keeping them clean. I just wanted to write a line to thank the blonde barista that was working the cash register on Friday December 19th. My partner is currently in the hospital and I was having a terrible day and I came in to get my macchiato and she was just like a ray of sunshine. I don't remember her name but her energy was so positive and so kind that she instantly melted my stress and anxiety away. Horrible experience. Jason the manager should be fired. Not holding his employees accountable and covering from them. An employee was talking with a woman at the register after 5 minutes taking personal things.I asked the cashier if I was able to order.The employees turned around very angry and called me rude and saying she was ordering.Which she never ordered anything. .Jason the manager lie and said she was ordering which is not true because I was right next to her and they were gossiping girls talk. But this one is very nice, the outdoor area is pretty and charming, inviting you to enjoy a coffee and hang out, take a break. So I did! I took my blended mocha (they did a nice job with it) at one of the tables outside, enjoyed the water fountain and the drink. Great spot for people watching. Clean restroom, decent sized parking lot behind, decent service. A tad more European feel to this location, other could use this nice kind of decor! read more

I purchased coffee mug with credit card since the mug is not found often. I came to this location to repurchase it with gift cards that I had. Dillet helped me however, she was not attentive at all. I handed her gift cards not knowing the amount and her reply was " I don't know I just scan them" when I asked for the amount. She wasn't understanding I wanted to repurchase the mug with gift cards. Finally, she got it with an attitude and completed the transaction. Hopefully, they will have better training for their staff. The service at this starbucks has been going down over the past years. Every time I order 20-30 minutes in advance my drink is still not ready when I show up. I have to wait another 10-15 minutes. What is the point of going to starbucks if I have to wait this long for a coffee? The manager is probably trying to show that the store is profitable by not hiring more people. Specially on a Saturday during a holiday weekend. When you know you are a busy store you hire more people. Only 1 girl was making hot drinks and 1 girl making cold drinks. The other 3 employees were either heating up food or cashier. I will stop going to this starbucks until they get their act together. Used to be my favorite Starbucks next to my house. Id rather drive down to Louise and pick up my drink. Have never had this happen at other starbucks locations. Skylar should be the manager! She gave me such exemplary service, I HAD to yelp her. You can tell she strives to provide GREAT customer service and that is what retains return business. She is FRIENDLY, ATTENTIVE, works well under pressure ( I seen her make drinks while busy) and is always trying to gracefully help the people just trying to get their morning boost. I had an issue with my food being delayed and she with ease, fixed it and remade my drink because she knew it was sitting there for a minute. This place is so hit or miss, but one thing is certain -- the modifications I ask for in my mobile orders are never made. Perhaps it's because they're usually busy, but the baristas at other heavy traffic locations never seem to have this issue and I'm just inclined to believe it's something else. I'm an "extra toppings, no to whipped cream" kind of girl, but I always end up with "light toppings, yes to whipped cream" here. If I have the time and the patience, I point it out immediately. If it's a glaring error, like I received something iced that was supposed to be a latte, I point it out. After all, the mobile order directions are printed as a label and stuck right on the cup. It's not as if I verbally told a barista and he/she didn't hear correctly or wrote the directions down in sloppy handwriting. That's the beauty of ordering through the app. If I ask for a correction, I end up waiting an additional 5 minutes for the drink to be remade. Most of the time, though, I just make a mental note and go (like I did during today's visit). Customers like me have probably enabled them over time, honestly. No biggie, because I've never received a drink that wasn't completely terrible and it's not a huge deal to me. I'm only here if I'm shopping nearby, or I don't frequent this location. I don't know why they did this but multiple times during my 10 minute visit, they repeatedly bunched up the orders incorrectly. Two people ordered different pastry items and they stacked the bags on top of each other so one person took both thinking it belonged to them. We bought four drinks and they paired a random drink next to mine. There's a whole counter space for them to put items. Why are random orders bunched and stacked together in one spot? It was creating confusion. Also the place looks unkept with crumbs/trash everywhere on the floor, chairs, and tables. Lastly, this is small but I ordered the macadamia nut cold brew and they mixed the drink so much the cold foam basically disappeared. It looked like another drink completely.
