I love this location! My drink is always made perfectly, and the service is excellent. Jack is especially great--he's friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond for customers. I really appreciate his hard work and the care he puts into making my drink just right. Even though I don't live in the area, I choose this location because of the outstanding customer service.

Beautiful location! This place has the best Starbucks decor by far! The artwork is beyond impressive, I couldn't help but admire the beautiful masterpieces all around. So many positive vibes and quotes, I absolutely LOVE it. Literally my favorite location. It was the perfect scenario right before dropping my mother off at the airport. :) Thank you for that. Staff was welcoming and courteous. They seemed to care about me and my order. Parking is a bit of a hassle but I'm sure there's plenty of parking somewhere inside the parking structure. Once I'm back in town, I'll definitely stop by again. Keep up the good work! :D

These guys brains are either on slo mo or bad leaves. The female barista had no idea what Matcha is and was completely head spun when I asked for a matcha latte. It took two other Barista's to confirm they could make one (one guy kept saying "what?") Then I asked if they had straight coconut milk or an almond/coconut blend. Again, the females eyes went blank. Second barista confirmed they have straight coconut milk. I placed my order and gave him a worried look, hoping he would be the one making my drink. He did, and it was perfect. On my way out, I started taking pictures of the store and the "what" barista wanted to know what I was doing. He was mildly confrontational, and paranoid. I told him I was taking pictures for Yelp and he said, "what?" Yelp! "WHAT!?" Lol, seriously? Yup...bad leaves. I had no comment. Lowered my shades and left. The overall encounter was too hilarious to get mad. Smh. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of this Starbucks, mainly because the lighting is bad. It's always Very dark. I find it difficult to be in here during the day. However, because it's so dark, it's kind of a nice chill spot at night. It's also very small inside, so I wouldn't recommend paying $3.00 to park banking on finding a place to sit in here. There is ample outdoor seating, however, it can get a bit cold and windy. I can't stop laughing on this experience. Minus the "what" guy, the other male barista and the clueless female barista were nice...no complaints, just hysterically ridiculous.

Came here around 8:15 a.m. on a Sunday. Baristas/Cashier were extremely nice. BUT My salted caramel was LUKEWARM. Gf's latte was NOT decaf as ordered. Unforgivable.

New drinks. The Caramel Ribbon Crunch was pretty good!

I swear I'm NOT a coffee junkie. I'm one of the rare breeds that can function without it. Hahaha!! While visiting Dave & Busters across the way I decided to get a sugary drink. YUMM!! Walk to the door and peak in, there's more than 6 people in line..."NOPE!! I refuse to do this, I will not stand around and wait with the people that MUST HAVE their coffee," is what I said....in my head. LoL So we went back to D&B. After being in D&B for over an hour with my kids, ummmm yeah. I needed that sugar rush now. Hahaha!! So we went back, and yaaaay...it was safe!! We were the only ones at the register!! Score!! Again, I'm NOT a coffee junkie so I just chose what was new, The Caramel Ribbon Crunch. Extra caramel and less crunch please!! LoL I was happy to get my drink, and was so busy telling my son I didn't want to share that I forgot to take a picture of my drink. Oh well, trust me. It was GOOD!! LoL BTW...the lady who helped us was nice and busy laughing at us, and with me because I kept refusing to share.

Very nice location, clean, full of people, lots of seating inside and a few outside & they played jazz music. Very nice and low key vibe. The staff were friendly & efficient. My coffee was made correctly. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop by. This location is inside the Howard Hughes Promenade, just outside of the main entrance. Parking is inside the Promenade Garage but there's a fee. It's not expensive. I paid $3 for about 3 hours. First 30 minutes are free, no validation. #DineSavorRepeat

As I was working through my message, I had the idea to include a visual illustration--a charcuterie setup to represent the abundant life Jesus offers. Right away, I thought of Alex and Olivia at Joliet Cafe. I've enjoyed Joliet Cafe for years-- whether I've come by in the day to get delicious coffee, or enjoyed the restaurant on a romantic night out with the wife - the food is always outstanding. Alex is truly a masterful chef! So just a couple of weeks before Easter, I reached out with this idea. Not only was he open to it, but he took the time to understand the vision and bring it to life. On the day of, Alex arrived early and prepared a beautiful, abundant "feast" that fit the message perfectly. It didn't just look incredible--it tasted amazing. After the service, we placed the charcuterie next to our lunch table, and it was gone quickly! So many people commented on how delicious and well-presented everything was. I share all this to say: Alex's professionalism, creativity, skill, and flexibility make him an incredible choice for charcuterie boards, catering, or any culinary service. He truly delivers--and you will not be disappointed. Thank you again for helping make Easter such a meaningful and special day!

HomeState has become my go-to breakfast spot in the Playa Vista/Westchester area. This isn't your…read moretraditional taco stand - it's definitely a more modern, hipster take on Texas-style breakfast tacos. But they execute it pretty well. One of my favorite morning routines is grabbing a coffee from Blue Bottle next door, then settling in at HomeState with my two favorite breakfast tacos: the Guadalupe and Don't Mess with Texas. Guadalupe - 4/5. I always order this on a corn tortilla. It comes with eggs, chorizo, and cheese, and the ingredients are decent. The portion is generous, with plenty of fluffy eggs that are cooked just right - not overdone or runny. The cheese melts nicely into the eggs, creating a good texture. The chorizo is decent, though it's the weakest component of an otherwise excellent taco. Also, I realized that the portion of chorizo has shrunk over the years. Don't Mess with Texas - 4/5. I'm generally not a fan of refried pinto beans, but this taco completely won me over. The combination of beans, bacon, potatoes, and cheese works surprisingly well, especially with the salsa verde. The flavors come together beautifully, making this one of the more satisfying breakfast tacos on the menu. I've tried a few of their other breakfast tacos, and they're all good. Still, I always find myself coming back to these two. HomeState offers two house salsas roja and verde, both with a brighter, more acidic profile than what you'd typically find at a taco shop. Usually that would be a bit problematic for regular tacos, but that acidity pairs well with the rich breakfast tacos. My only complaint is that I wish they packed more heat. Hot sauces are available, but I'd rather the house salsas bring the spice on their own. Even so, they're flavorful and complement the tacos well. Overall, I like my Blue Bottle coffee + 2 breakfast tacos combination, and will continue eating here.

Therefore, I have to come and take advantage right? Well, I was able to order both tacos keto style (Dallas Fort Worth variety) and have their contents put in these cute cups. Erik was super humble, and yet calm cool and collective-while managing the usual door traffic. I guess where I'm going with this is I certainly couldn't do it!
