This Starbucks has become my favorite! Even tho there is no Drive-Thru, I actually enjoy walking in & getting my coffee every morning. I always come in the morning around 8 to 9ish so Parking isn't really an issue at that time. This location is always busy, but there is something about seeing groups of people chatting outside or reading the news paper that makes me feel happy (I don't know why lol) & makes me start my day in a good mood. I want to thank Shelby and her team for exceeding my expectations! We were meeting on Thursday evening, October 12th, and I ordered two Travelers for 7 p.m.; when Sam arrived to pick them up, lo and behold, they were out of lids! Each Traveler holds 96 ounces of scalding coffee, and Sam could carry them with the caps. So, at that point, Shelby or another barrister stepped up to the plate and took off running to Ralph's grocery store with a Starbucks, and she got two lids. First time at this location, it's all right, doesn't have a drive thru but it's all good, we will survive the atmosphere overall is calm and cool, not crowded, which is plus, just little bit messy. One thing, I guess I should know from now on, is that some locations do not take $100 claiming they don't have enough change, really? Well luckily for them and me there was a Chase bank around and I got my problem solved, but really that's kind of inconvenient. If I could leave zero stars I would immediately! This place is soooo ridiculous. Waited 20 mins watching my drink sit on the counter while others were getting theirs. The staff was decent except one girl. She was horrible and shouldn't be working any customer service job. I understand you're busy, I understand fast movements. But when all you have to do is add a lid and push it off to counter it's not that hard. read more

This is personal experience, I could have brought it to a three star but that would have been generous since Yelp doesn't do half star ratings. We stopped in while we were in the area early, about 8:00 and ordered two simple items. They did not have something that my wife ordered, sorry I can't remember what part of her drink order that was, but it is something she usually orders closer to home. I ordered a small coffee and we also ordered a butter croissant (heated). You get the drip coffee right away, which is part the reason I order them. My wife waited three or four minutes for her's (not the one she wanted) to come up and then we still didn't hear anything about the croissant. I was standing there and I guess the manager (or assistant) asked if I needed anything. Told him the croissant, he yelled over to hurry on it. The guy finally got it to me around another three or four minutes later. All total waiting for coffee order to be complete with the butter croissant was close to ten minutes. Much better experience yesterday when we were in the neighborhood. We had a light dinner at Pick Up Stix, then shared a venti Frapuccino as our dessert. The interior was more interesting than I recalled from a previous visit. It is a large rectangular space, filled with lots of seating of various types. The A/C was cranked up, so after getting our drink, we went out to the patio to enjoy the warm twilight environment. It was a great evening to sit outside. This definitely seems to be a popular location, with a mix of students studying and family groups visiting. Parking is free, but you might have to walk a bit, as this corner of the Porter Ranch Center is busy. read more

I am currently at this Starbucks and very disappointed in the time to receive my order. Only ordered two waters, one refresher and one chocolate croissant. The order came in parts, croissant first ( didn't hear my name called) and drinks later. Unsure how long the croissant was sitting, took about 15 minutes. Although this Starbucks is super busy, there is a reason why. They have the best customer service. Of your drink isn't correct they let you keep the wrong order and will replace it with the correct one. They definitely do not let anything go to waste. Today I went in and I completely forgot to order one drink which was my fault. I went to pay for it and realized I didn't have enough in my starbucks card. I was trying to refill it but forgot my password. As I was trying all the passwords that I can remember, the barisya said, "This one's on me!" I wish I got her name....so sweet! I was thinking about why I stop at this Starbucks when I'm in the area. It's the oversized lounge, comfy chairs. Not the smallish chairs that pose as lounge chairs at the newly remodeled or renovated locations but big, leather, squishy, lounge chairs! These would be your favorite chairs if in your house...kinda chairs. Let's face it what you can buy at Starbucks is consistency. Nowadays, what becoming more consistent ( at Starbucks) is the lack of comfort. Sure it has tables, that are always packed with groups or individuals as well as a outdoor area...doesn't have a drive through, which is ok with me. But one of the very few stores I've visited in the last 6months where you can really RELAX (in comfort) and drink your coffee drink. For that alone, it deserves 5 stars, maybe even 6! My guess is this won't last long and will be remodeled at some point. I'm the meantime, I have to visit more often. read more

One star is too generous to review my memorable experience from this store. Yesterday, I spent the most frustrating 50 mins to get one drink from this store. I understand the Pandemic, staff shortage and other potential problems but this was not related to that. The store wasn't even really busy, just few mobile order folks like me trying to pick up. No one's said sorry nor did they appear sorry for taking 40 mins to make my drink wrong and have me walk across parking to return for another one. But wait, it gets better, they stick a "your next one's on us" card which I found out today wasn't even activated and couldn't be used! It's the gift that keeps on giving. Today was the third time the staff made my drink wrong in the mobile order station. The employees here have a lot of attitude & are extremely unfriendly. It appears this location has a management and employee problem. If they're not excited to make coffee they shouldn't be working. I've been here a good handful of times. It's always been busy in here so be ready to wait for your drink, unless you mobile order it ahead of time. Pretty much anytime of the day I have been in here, it's packed full of people. Trying to do work and grab a seat next to a plug is next to impossible. And if you think you're about to walk away for a quick second to do anything, someone will already be in your seat. I swear people have no manners these days. I go to this Starbucks a lot because I work nearby and I'm an iced coffee addict. Location wise, the parking area is terrible. I've once had to park near Ralph's just to get over here. I love the renovation though I remember a couple years back how tiny it was. Now it's so spacious I love it. Just left this Starbucks and the older woman at the counter argued with me about milk and half and half being the same thing. My family has a strict low carb diet and we cannot have milk. She argued so much that I am actually worried she put milk in my drink and not half and half so at this point I might just throw it away. She didn't know what she was doing and she argued through the entire process. I have ordered this drink 1000 times at other Starbucks as well as at this location and no one has ever had any issues with my order. I am a starbucks addict but when it comes to this location in particular it is a hit or miss. Theres days they add too much sugar in my drink and theres days where my drink tastes gross like its watered down coffee. Theres no consistency at this location. There is an abundance of seating due to its large outdoor patio. Inside, there's loads of tall chairs, armchairs, and picnic-style benches for patrons. Of course, that inside seating may be locked up by people camping out for the free AC. The bathrooms are relatively clean as well. I love how the store was recently renovated. They doubled their size and have tons of tables and seating inside and out to chill and study. It's also located in a large plaza with tons of parking. The only downside is their service. This Starbucks, hands down, has the worst service ever. I'm always here and learned crowded or not, service is always slow and terrible. If you're not happy working there, maybe you shouldn't work there. It's like it pains some of them to crack a smile. Their consistency to forget my drink and food order amazes me. Only giving this place 2 stars because of its convenience to home. I've been coming here since 2006 and the change in management over the years has made a negative impact for customers. I know that Starbucks Coffee Co has high standards in upkeeping the store; however, this location does an extremely poor job at this. Employees are supposed to be doing "lobbies" atleast a few times every hour (emptying full trash cans, making sure all milk is filled, etc). The condiment bar is always an absolute mess. From my understanding, from the minute a customer walks into the store to the point they walk out with their drink, the process should only take a few minutes (corporate standard). It takes me about 8 minutes (on an average day, NOT during a rush..theres about 5 employees on the floor) Management used to be great about customer experience and store presentation, but somewhere over the years, the overall experience has been declining. STARBUCKS PORTER RANCH is an important place in the neighborhood but is so poorly managed. Please send this location a manager who is competent for this higher volume location. read more

Most Starbucks are similar with their quality and general upkeep of the premises. This location has consistently proven to exceed my average Starbucks encounter. I'm a huge fan of drinks being made according to the Starbucks standard (recipe cards). Why? Because I used to work as an Assistant Manager for the company. There is such an inconsistency across the board with most locations when they make the iced tea. My favorite is the Trenta Black Iced Tea with 5 pumps Classic. Some places will measure or "eyeball" the water/tea/ice in the cup and then kind of 'swish' it around. No. It needs to be poured into the shaker, measured up to the correct lines, and then SHAKEN. This location has never ever taken any shortcuts with their beverage prep (that I've ever observed). I always ask for them to shake it when I order iced tea from Starbucks. I have learned that I don't need to ask at this location. They always measure and shake. read more
