In the SD area for work and needed my Latte. Of course you can find a Starbucks pretty much anywhere, so happy this one was close to my Hotel. Nice big parking lot, can enter or exit for two Main Street and the staff was friendly. Inside was really nice, with some large skylights to bring in natural light, had your standard tables as well as some high tables, also a lounge area and space to play chess, decorated very modern and nice inside. It also has an outdoor patio seating in the front and to the side, actually a mot of exterior seating which is nice to enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather. Great spot and great coffee. This is my go-to Starbucks in the area because of its seating options and drinks. The staff works super hard and is very willing to customize drinks and they're fast. While all Starbucks seem to be equal in taste, this place has the edge for ambiance and seating. read more

Love this Starbucks, one of my favorites ever, and so happy that this is in Rancho Bernardo. Since I moved 10 months ago back to my former hood, my level of happiness definitively increased when I saw there was this new Starbucks where years back was another fast food establishment. Everything in this coffee shop is great: super spacious, the art in the walls is very nice and evocative, lots of different tables and a mix of people working, doing homework and also having conversations. Also a mix of seniors spending their afternoon, techies from the nearby Apple and Amazon, amond others, and soccer moms-dads in between rides to/from field. I just love spending time there. last sunday around 1 pm the green haired (asian?) girl was hella cranky w me for some rsn in the drive thru. after saying "sure" to straws she said, "you say yes or no." when i said "excuse me?" she repeated herself "you say yes. or. no. not 'sure.'" i was honestly weirded out and then i said "thanks." and then she responded back "thanks" in an angry tone after lowkey aggressively giving me my drink and turned around as I drove off. seemed cool and i already liked her hair when I saw her like literally no bad blood at first. but immediately i was already noticing some attitude after she started almost shoving the change and cash in my hand. she already looked unhappy before, but thought she was just tired. read more

My last drink here was like drinking air. There was mostly foam and very little of the actual solid ingredients. It was really disappointing. I usually drink it throughout the day. The Duenda location is my favorite Starbucks. The drive thru is super convenient when you're on the go and need a caffeine kick in the pants, usually iced Americanos or flat whites. Over the years I've had a love/hate view of Starbucks food but they've improved a lot. Good bagels, the sausage cheddar sandwich is hearty and healthier than the McDonalds version and I can't resist the dark chocolate espresso beans. Sherise, the manager, hires wonderful people. The staff is always happy and friendly to see you. I count many of them as personal friends. Only reason they don't get five stars is the lack of reliable WiFi. But they're working on it. read more

My drink was knocked off of the end table at home. The straw broke apart into pieces inside my drink. If I had a drink other than green tea, I may not have seen the bits of straw. Very dangerous! Drive-thru communication from employees needs work. I asked for a specific cheese Danish (sugar plum) and the girl said she would make sure they have it first. A minute goes by and she informs me they have it so I order it. I get to the window and a different lady who seemed like a manager informs me they don't have it after all, but there is no apology from her in the slightest, she was just kind of rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. So a plain cheese danish it is, which I'm pretty sure is cheaper and I'm not refunded the difference because I've already paid and it's not even offered to me anyway. I then asked for a single straw and she gave me 2, just not listening. Overall communication and service at this location is poor. read more

During the pandemic a lot of places tend to lose there touch when it comes to customer service but today my experience was excellent. I want to let management know that you have a great group of employees here... I had ordered a drink and it wasn't up to par, I called in spoken with Steven and wanted to advised him to check their expresso machine bc it had a very bitter burnt flavor and to my astonishment, Steven was very well mannered, polite and thank me for calling in. He offered to make me a new drink and when I arrived the next day, his personality and the way he treats customers made my day and this is the way a business should be ran, with great employees like Steven. I am very impressed with the way Steven handle the problem and would recommend this location. My wife and I used to frequent this spot when it was a Taco Bell... That being said, we were happy to see Starbucks open another location making 5 withing driving distance from our home in 4S Ranch. This is a large Starbucks with a relaxing atmosphere. There's tons of parking and the place never gets too busy, that you can't stop and sip on your drink during a stressful day. The NITRO is a great addition. Not all locations that I've been to offer it. There is a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating, tons of outlets if you need to stay charged and the restrooms are always clean. The drive thru moves quickly. During the day, the menu tends to be difficult to see as the sunlight is directly behind it. I suggest they add something to block the sunlight. read more

Super cool drive thru as it's basically u-shaped and quite convenient. The order screen is large but hard to read due to the sun. The lady taking my order was efficient and nice. There were about 3 cars ahead of us but my coffee and water came out quickly. I ordered a Venti iced coffee with some cream. The coffee itself tasted fine (not too acidic or bitter) but there was just TOO much ice. I didn't feel it was worth the $3.45 price tag as it was 3/4 ice. There seemed to be plenty of parking. There's a CVS here as well. We were in the area as we bought some pastries from Edelweiss a few doors down. Overall, an ok location. read more

Slowest Starbucks I have been to, the line is around the building most mornings due largely to the staff appearing to have no sense of urgency and seems a bit disorganized with the layout. 25 min in drive through is typical for this location which is disappointing. Two entry points leads to two separate lines creating other issues. Teams have to get faster in order to meet the demand at this location. Pros: absolutely great location; clean parking lot and clean facility. Cons: slow staff, not a place to come if you do not have time to wait.. read more

I like this new Starbucks with it open spacious sitting area. I like it but they need some more comfortable furniture. Some of the chairs are comfy but others have not appeal to them what so ever. You would think a company like this would splurge a little on some quality furniture. Anyways, I spent some time here working and enjoying a Cafe Misto as well. I ordered a grande with their medium roast, and other then them not filling it all the way, which I had a barista fill up, it was a well made mist, a.k.a. Cafe au Lait. The coffee was great and quite smooth and enjoyable to drink. The staff was nice and I observed the manager working the counter, mopping the floor, and checking the restrooms. Well done. This Starbucks also sports a good amount of outside seating and a drive thru for you busy bees. read more

Not sure if we really needed another Starbucks in the area, but I'm not complaining that much. This one also has a drive through so it's really convenient for those on the go. I really like the layout of this one. It's a lot roomier than other ones I've been to. There's also a decent amount of seating inside. The people are super friendly here however they did mess up my order slightly by not putting whipped cream on top when I said yes to whipped cream when they asked if I wanted it. It wasn't a busy time either, we were the only customers being served at the time so they weren't necessarily being rushed either. read more
