I really don't like this Starbucks first because the few times Ive gone there is just gets worst the coffees half way filled, no straws available and they don't tell you till you get to the window and last they gave me a cup all blended on the lid part so when I was about to drink out of it I spilled it all over me and burnt myself and dropped it all Over my car. Seemed upset that I paid with a 20 dollar bill? When she handed me my change I asked if I could please get a pup cup for my dog. This must've really sent her over the edge because she said nothing, rolled her eyes, got the cup, and still said nothing after I said thank you so much. Let me start this off by saying I typically LOVE Starbucks. Their products, their values as a company, how they treat their employees... I could go on. I spend a lot of time studying in their cafes with the smell of coffee grounds in the air and warm smiles on everyone's faces. This location is very close to me and fairly roomy on the inside, which makes me gravitate towards it for some study sessions. However, every single time I have tried this location, something is wrong (and it's been at least 10x). I've had a completely wrong order handed to me twice, they've been out of cold brew three times, they've been out of the pumpkin cream twice, they've "forgotten" to put in my order once... all within the past 2ish months. Not sure what's wrong with this location but I'm bummed about it. Hope it changes soon and I'll try again in a couple months. read more

I've been to this location a few times. It's conveniently located in mission valley off the 8 freeway and Fairmont and Mission Gorge. Best feature of this location is their drive thru is open 24/7! Seating area is open until I believe midnight. It's pretty wide open inside with a mix of shared community tables, smaller tables for groups of 2 or 4 and big comfy, cozy living room style seating. Ample outdoor seating as well. Service has always been friendly and helpful and they've gotten my order right every time, even in the drive thru! No complaints from this yelper, except I need to buy stock in this place and get rich off myself! Keep on Yelp'n! read more

I ordered a iced white mocha with pumpkin cold foam. I order this all the time at other locations it's my favorite drink. They put the pumpkin spice topping on the cold foam which I did not want, and have never been given before. We went back to have them fix it, and they took the order wrong tried to give me Vanilla cold foam, when they fixed it again and handed us the drink, it once again had the pumpkin spice topping. Terrible service and they make the drinks wrong this drink is NOT supposed to come with the pumpkin spice topping. read more

The drive through line is usually long but the service has been fantastic every time. The barista my last time is what inspired me to write this. I don't remember his name but it started with a "D" and he has a red Star Wars rebellion sticker on his name tag. I feel like this is a really bad placement for a Starbucks and I say that because the traffic can sometimes get gross and the parking lot is pretty tight so it doesn't help. I went here during the later part of the afternoon to work remote and get some tea. I tried the peach lemonade tea; tall. It was alright just a lot sweeter than I expected. I sat next to the window and had to later pull the blinds because of the sun, but nice to know I was able to do so without employees saying otherwise. Noise level is pretty loud even with my headphones in, but it doesn't bother me while I noticed others did not enjoy it. The chairs aren't the greatest and are just awkward enough I couldn't sit still for more than 5 mins and I was there for 2 hours. Moved outside before leaving to take a phone call and the seating outside was more comfy than inside haha - weird that that's the case at least IMO. It's not a bad Starbucks but I've seen better whether it be location, quieter for those who are disturbed by high noise levels, or just quicker service, but the employees seemed in good spirits. :) read more

Ok. It's Starbucks This one in particular is one I tend to skip on unless coffee is absolutely necessary. There is Cuppa Cuppa coffee a few blocks down which I love , however!.. this particular Bux is right next to the freeway. For this particular reason, this place tends to be packeddd in the mornings and during peak hours. Not to mention the placement of the facility within the small complex makes it tough to form a line without someone getting cut off somehow Generally you get your order correct, there have been a few times where they've missed on the drink. Depending on the people in drive through you can go in n out or it can seem like forever. Either way, staff is friendly, and sometimes you just need a little Starbucks lovin in your life read more

This location needs to get it together, this is comical. Every time I come to this Starbucks something about my order is wrong, but today was the worst. I ordered a grande pumpkin spice and received what might be a tall in my cup- I've been shorted here by two oz or so frequently but to be shorted 6-8oz is absurd- I know technically I can have them remake it but not when I get home and find out not should that have to be every time I order from this location. I'm tired of paying for less drink than advertised, I feel scammed. Please train your baristas to not send out drinks that aren't even made to the basic specifications. read more

I recently started to go to this location because I cut through the side streets to get through work to avoid freeway traffic. I always order ahead of time through the mobile app. I looked for parking and there was none- Well, there is but how can you park when the drive thru line is blocking it all? Not a great layout for the Mobile pick up orders or those that want to order in store and park in the morning. Anyways, I ordered ahead of time at 8:30am. I have work at 9am. I waited in my car and followed the time on my app that says pick up is ready by 8:43am so I walked in a few minutes early around that time. I went in and there's a lot of people waiting and a lot of people in line to order. I stood there for 15 minutes thinking, okay they're busy I'll be patient. 20ish minutes passed and I couldn't help but ask because what if I stood there for no reason..it's already 8:50am and I knew I'd be late for work which is down the block. I finally asked a barista who was handing out pastries and he checked for me and said That there's 3 ahead of me. After those 3 received their drinks... there were 3 or 4 more...I couldn't even count anymore. I received my drink almost 40 minutes later.... I have never waited this long at a Starbucks. The customers in line that haven't ordered yet as I walked in were waiting for theirs already and received theirs first. read more

Any Starbucks drive thru can be a blessing when you're in a rush right. Sometimes it's just easier to sit in your car, order your coffee from a standing intercom, and drive up to pay the nice barista. But forget ALL THAT when the drive thru is seriously RIGHT BENEATH one of the loudest freeways ever to exists. I've just never had to scream my order into the intercom EVER in my experience with a SB drive thru. I had to scream it multiple times actually because the decibel level of the cars on freeway was deafening. I felt bad for the barista taking the order :( Poor guy. My iced coffee was fine and the execution of the order was quick and easy. So for that this place deserves easily 4 stars. It's just the bloody freeway noise man that brings this particular SB location down so many stars. read more

After a long 12 hour shift at my patient's house on Tuesday I stoped by the Starbucks on Camino Del Rio N and was greeted by an awesome young woman. Hands down the best customer service experience I've ever had at a coffee shop. She was kind, attentive, professional, and overall made me feel welcomed and taken care of. This is my go-to Starbucks because of proximity. It's super convenient being just by the 8 freeway. I love that it's also open 24 hours! Drive thru Starbucks open 24 hours... yup. They exist! This location does get busy because of its convenience. The drive through especially in the morning gets packed. It makes it a bit hard to get out of the parking lot, so be mindful of that! When I've gone in to purchase, it does take quite some time to get your order. However, the staff here is super nice and courteous! read more

Must be the place to go as the walk-in line was out the door and the drive-thru was around the building. Took 15 minutes from the back of the line to get my order placed but the staff was working as efficiently as they could. At least the baristas were friendlier the some of the customers who were disgusted with the wait time and either left or shared their disappointment when the placed their order. Sad that some of our society has gotten to that point to "be obnoxious in public" There is not much more that could be done to speed things up here as the space is limited. read more

I placed a pick up order while I was at work for me and all of my coworkers which was a $50+ order and I waited 10 minutes for it to be ready and when I arrived I was told the order was canceled and then I was told I would have to re-get in line to pay and then after that I was told; which was 15 minutes later; I was told that my order has not been made at all and on top of that I would have to wait another 10 minutes. This never should've happened and was so disrespectful. The drive-thru service here is ok, but the indoor service is not. A couple weeks ago, they got my drink wrong. I advised the barista with a friendly smile that it wasn't what I ordered (I wasn't in a hurry and it was in the afternoon, not busy) and she grimaced, grunted, then remade the drink. Sooooo unfriendly! Here I will note that she then turned to the next customer (male) and acted very warm and smiley. But to me she was ice, like I killed her puppy. All I want is my drink! Yesterday, I was in there waiting for my drink during a very busy period (9 cars at drive-thru, 4 people ahead of me), and a man ahead of me said he'd asked for a decaf, not caf (same as me) and the baristas apologized three or four separate times, gave him his mis-made drink, and a coupon for another free drink. So, in my experience, the male customers are treated more nicely. Also, it's not a good place to get work done since they reconfigured. It feels like a cafeteria and it's noisy. And the parking lot is always a zoo, because it's next to a gas station and a Chili's. They also do not enforce their NO SMOKING ON THE PATIO sign, because there is always someone smoking every time I go. SDPD take note: you can single-handedly fund the entire city budget if you sit outside and ticket everyone who makes an illegal left turn out of the Starbuck's driveway. read more

Disappointed with my entire experience at this establishment. The guy that took my order was not friendly. The stand with reusable cups for $2 had an all white ceramic cup on it, so I asked the cashier if this cup is really $2 I will buy it! He scanned it ($26+) then rolls his eyes and says "Where does it say $2!?" So I showed him the sign, located right in front of the cash register & he rude said "that's for reusable cups." Then placed the expensive cup right back on the stand with the plastic cups. Obviously if it is not a $2 cup, it belongs on the shelf with the rest of the expensive merchandise. Not only was the cashier rude, the drink took longer than expected to make and when I got it my tuxedo mocha looked nothing like the advertisement. At least I can say the store looked clean.
