Oof. I enjoy Starbucks because I know what to expect: consistency and speedy service. Some coworkers and I decided to come here for our morning coffees on the way to the office thinking it would be a quick in & out trip, as it is at most Starbucks. When we arrived there were already a few people in line, so some friends and I decided to place an order on the app instead. It wasn't insanely busy, so I was shocked to see the wait time listed at 20 minutes! In most cases drinks are prepared quicker than the estimated wait time, but it actually ended up taking neary 30 minutes for us to receive our drinks. There were a lot of employees, so I'm not sure what was taking so long to make it happen. My shaken espresso did taste delicious, but was definitely not worth a 30 minute wait. read more

Being new to the area, this Financial District location is right up the street from me, and let me just say... WOW. By far, this is the most welcoming and genuinely kind Starbucks crew I have ever encountered. Everyone is so friendly, and the energy they give off immediately puts a smile on my face. It's the kind of place where you feel recognized and appreciated the moment you walk in. You can tell this team works hard, even during busy rushes, and they do it with great attitudes and positive vibes. That combination of efficiency, warmth, and consistency is something you don't see enough these days. This location has quickly become part of my daily routine, and I always leave in a better mood than when I arrived. Amazing crew, great energy, and a Starbucks experience done right. Let me manage this store for just ONE dayDevin. This is the antithesis of work smarter not harder. I don't understand why there isn't a mobile area and a order at the counter area and those people work on those orders. I completely understand waiting for coffee, but over 25 minutes is lunacy. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how their made and served. One person i was with got their coffee 16 minutes before me (it was also made incorrectly) and then I waited an additional 10 minutes. I totally get ordering ahead of time, but good luck if you don't have the app and have to wait 2x longer. read more

It was an extremely hot day around noon. I was having a medical emergency due to dehydration. There were no other places to go. I asked for a glass of water. The pitcher was sitting right there on the counter in front of me. The answer was no that I had to purchase something first. All I had was a hundred dollar bill. They would not take it. They forced me to leave. I passed out on Muni on the way home and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. My go to drink is a Carmel Mocchiato before my morning run and it has been best served here as I enter and am offered fresh water and a ready to order work place. The associate at the counter struggled to take our orders despite repetition after repetition after repetition, maybe the music should be turned down so people could actually have a casual conversation at a normal volume. Then the order was inaccurate and the associates making the drinks had an attitude about it being mentioned. They also never announced any drinks just put them down and avoided any eye contact with customers. When a straw was requested they seemed irritated about that too. So sorry I asked you to do your job that you get paid for, my apologies. read more

I've been here a few times to pick up an order. The service is always very friendly. Food and drinks are well made and efficiently brought out. The ambiance is great - a bit dark and hard to notice from the outside, but the inside is clean, organized, and pretty well lit given the tinted windows. I'm giving this store 3 stars because they have a ton of open outlets and tables yet none of the outlets work. I was looking for a place to work one day, came in, and bought a bunch of snacks/drinks to load up on my work session. 5 minutes in I realized my battery wasn't charging, and when I went to ask the staff they said their outlets have been deactivated since COVID. Please either reactive your outlets or cover them up so that patrons aren't misled into thinking they can work here. I had to awkwardly walk into Bluestone Lane across the street, explain the situation, promise to buy a meal around lunchtime, and transfer my coffee into one of their cups so I could use their outlet. More than happy to update this review with 5 stars once this issue has been resolved. read more

The store is clean and drink as usual good just a little too hot in temperature but it is ok. The 5 stars is really for the restroom how everything is sensor activated no need to use our dirty or clean hand to touch except for the door. Also it is my first seen the combination of sensor hand soap/wash/dry in one, the dryer is strong enough to dry the hands in less than a minute. Great choice!! read more

Racist. They assumed I came from the Consulate of Mexico because I'm Mexican and said I can't use the restroom. I told them I have to use the restroom and I would order right after. Than snapped at me and said they are making a complaint against the consulate for sending all the Mexicans over here to use the restroom. WOW! NEVER AGAIN! I've been going to Starbucks every day (if not multiple times a day) since 2008 and I can say without hesitation that this Starbucks has the best staff of any location I've ever been to. Everyone here remembered my name within a few times of going there! This summer I moved to Boston for three months and no one remembered my name that entire time (not expected!). When I moved back to sf the wonderful staff here remembered my name the very first time, which was super nice. They've also drawn cute patterns on my cup and always ask how I'm doing. The team here also seems to have great working culture amongst themselves, which makes it seem like a great place to work. I love coming here! read more

Of all the Starbucks, this has to be the worst of the worst with the snooty attitude from the short chubby non-binary Pacific Islander employee. I love my fellow LGBTQ+ fam, but this one has major attitude with that fake-friendly tone. After my online pickup purchase of 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches, I waited in line to buy a gift card and some brew-at-home coffee. As I gathered my things I asked for a bag and was told that it was 25 cents.... Before I could even look in my coin purse they immediately followed up with "and you'll need to get the the back of the line"... ugh never again... I'll continue to spread the word in my office to avoid this place and head to Phil's or Woodlands. Super solid Starbucks, especially during these socially distanced times. Order online. They sometimes have a table by the door, sometimes you go in to the pick up area. Either way fast and smooth like you'd expect. They have some hand sanitizer by the door too which is a nice value add. On occasion there is a short line (like 2-3 people max), but service overall is pretty fast. You can easily watch your app, and when you order is ready quickly pop inside grab and go. read more

I'm so happy to have a Starbucks in the neighborhood AND it's consistently open on weekends! It's so crazy that the area consists of so many giant apartment buildings yet so many food/drink spots are closed down on weekends. Anyways, the service here is consistently friendly and prompt! The last few times I've come to this Starbucks, some of the staff have been passive aggressive to me and I'm not really sure why. I get it's tough, I used to work at a coffeeshop too, which is why I try to be extra patient. But for the last few times I've been here, staff has been a bit rude and it makes me not really want to come here anymore, especially when the people at Starbucks are often the first people I interact with in the morning and it kind of just ruins the rest of the morning for me. Mobile pre-orders are ready when you walk in the door. They have outdoor seating too which is great, could be freshened up a little. If I could give this place a 0 star I would trust me.. The workers are terrible and extremely rude. None of them are professional at there jobs. Not the proper uniform on or no name tags on most of them. There Iced caramel Macchiato is Terrible. No coffee in it all or caramel just plain milk. Disgusting! I would go back in there store to tell them I'm not satisfied with there coffee and they would give me attitude and sometimes not remake it saying I won't be remaking it for you. There manager is also very immature and terrible. No one in that location knows how to run a store there. There drinks are disgusting and there attitude is even worser. I just experienced a very unfortunate situation that happened during my lunch break, when me and my coworkers decided to go get some Starbucks. We all ordered like 12:30pm, and we went ahead and waited for our drink. We saw people coming in and out, and it was almost like 12:50 when we finally got out drinks. I had my food in the counter but it wasn't called out so I didn't know it was there. When me and my coworker got somewhat impatient, because our lunch was almost about to be over I was going to ask for a refund but I asked them if our drinks were almost done and they responded very disrespectful and with attitude, the guy making our drink responded " it's very busy, is coming up". That attitude was not necessary for working in customer service. I didn't see them making our drinks so I just went to go to the front and ask for a refund but when I got there, I saw that they were making our drinks. So I tell the cashier I wanted a refund, but can you ask if they're making my drink, and she asked and they ignored the girl. So then I asked her if that's my drink I don't need a refund. So she asked if I wanted my drink or a refund. Which was I was take aback because I don't think I was asking for too much. My coworker then told me the guy held my drink and told her "this her drink, does she still want it" and would let go of the drink. I just grabbed my drink and left. My issue was if i weren't to say anything who knows how long it would've took. I believe for them to be working in customer service it was a very disappointing and demeaning experience. A basic common decency would be appreciated. read more

Love the convenience of this Starbucks but not sure why they NEVER give me whipped cream when I clearly ordered it. One time the employee said it was because people order it but dont mean to, so they never add whipped cream to the order. OK? Well what about the people that DO order it and want it? I'm super tired of walking back with my drink without whipped cream and having to walk all the way back to ask for it. Or just dealing with it. WOW! Can you say above and beyond? I know this looks long but you gotta read it. I was in charge of an event in SF and I'm from Chicago. I'm new to the team and the role and this came up fast with little detail. I contact this Starbucks and reach Morgan and give her my lengthy story (she patiently listens while she is probably slammed) and then proceeds to guide me through my options and assure me they can take care of it. It's a big order and she says she will save it while I bring it back to my boss. Feeling much better I do and she is good with it. 2 days later I call her back and sure enough she saved it. I'm like yay but she cannot take the payment over the phone. Now I can't do a delivery service because theft are doing me so many small favors to make the experience just perfect. She won't be in the day I'm coming and refers me to Corey. The day before he calls to confirm because you know it's a big order and I think I gave them the wrong day out of panic so thank goodness but they still have it handled. In addition, as the store manager he offers his personal number to assure everything goes well. How cool is that??? I finally get there after a day and a half of chaos already and BOOM the entire staff is prepared and ready! They all say hi! They are all smiles so welcoming so kind! They jump into action and start loading our cart taking the payment and still serving customers without missing a beat! Amazing! Talk about being impressed! I could go on and on about this store and how much it stands out and above the rest but I know you'll stop reading... so go check them out yourselves... because this review hardly does their level of professionalism and customer service justice. read more
