I'm a Starbucks guy. They have closed most of my favorites, 2nd Street, Townsend &4th, Fillmore Street and O'Farrell. So, right now it is this one on Third Street and/or the one on Montgomery Street. Coming to Starbucks has to count as an event because the drinks cost as much as going to a bar. Now, this one has gone Seattle style putting the drinks in a MUG. I wrote both of my books sitting in Starbucks, in San Leandro (140th and/or Bayfair Mall) [San Francisco 2nd Street and/or Market at Second St] { I wrote my MASTERS when they had a 24 hour on Castro Street -- 90's} These are two of the last ones that still have outlets to plug in a laptop and/or iPhone. So, when you have to bust a $10, it is a spot. I go there to read and write. You can be alone in a room full of people/strangers... lol Excellent service. Clean bathrooms. Outdoor seating. Next to a dog park and a kid park across the street. KOOL ambiance!! Not really a brunch guy ... lol. Handicap accessible. read more

Popped in here before a Warriors game last week and was surprised at how enjoyable the experience was. This is one of the few Starbucks I have seen with tables and chairs for customers and the cafe is decent size too. When entering I was greeted by a barista right away. When ordering my white chocolate mocha and a donut, the cashier was friendly and rang me up quickly. The mocha tasted just right, not too sweet and with enough caffeine to wake me up. The donut was good too. The table I sat at was clean. I was only there to chill and kill time, so can't say if the wifi is fast or good for working. But the coffee shop wasn't loud or noisy, so it's a good spot to get work done or chat with a friend. The bathroom was clean too. Over all a good coffee shop experience. Honestly this Starbucks is the closest to having that "Third place" experience in the city and Bay Area (since COVID happened) that most Starbucks are lacking these days. If you work in the Mission Bay area or perhaps catching a Warriors basketball game at the Chase Center and want to grab a quick bite to eat this Starbucks is the place to go. They always have friendly staff members and my order always comes out within minutes. I usually get the Bacon Gouda sandwich. The gouda cheese coats the creamy egg and the bacon adds a nice saltiness to the sandwich. It comes on a soft ciabatta roll. Yum! I love coming here for breakfast and will continue to do so. I also enjoy their outdoor patio seating because it's usually nice weather in this area. read more

Starbucks has really faltered these last few years. Their customer service and knowledge of their product has never been lower. I can't tell you how often they are out of something, whether it's Soy milk and the lowly house coffee.... but they always seem to have the way overpriced, tiny little tasteless pastries available. Yuk. Most stores are now a scary place to visit. No smiles or thank you either. I rarely visit them now and find the local donut shop full of smiles and good coffee too. read more

Very rude Barista, I was there 1/30/22 Saturday around 12:15PM. I'm not sure if my expectations were too high for a starbucks, but all the tables were very dirty at 4pm. I don't want to single out details to harass the staff, but their service was subpar and somewhat rude. If you're just looking to grab a quick coffee on the way somewhere else, maybe it's okay. However, there's no reason to come here after paying for parking when there are so many other great places in the city for coffee or to hang out. read more

Hall of fame Starbucks just based purely on the customer service at this location. I have not once had a negative conversation with any of the staff and honestly if I was a coffee drinker I would consistently come here. Store is immaculately clean and well maintained. Near zero wait time to order but the store itself stays busy. Great work I really appreciate this place! Overall this place is a great place to go if you're of African decent. If you're in the mood for coffee and in the neighborhood I would suggest this place over the other Starbucks in the area. As you can see from my other reviews I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately in The Bay Area so this location was definitely refreshing...However! This location is near a nice garden and IMHO parking best on Mission & 3rd Street. You get to either walk through the garden area or opt for sidewalk. Starbucks made my coffee wrong this morning and refused to fix it, Ordered my normal drink from this location 15 minutes before I arrived, they were busy and coffee was not ready, barista attempted to hand me the wrong drink , I let him know it was obvious that it was wrong, asked him to fix it and he said no manager, said to come back tomorrow to fix it , walked out with no coffee, called the location a few minutes later and presto we now have a manager there that now informed me that he just had a shift change and would be addressing it with the barista and the only way to fix it was for me to come back Friday, he said no way to fix it today Total failure on Starbucks today, no coffee for me Just got off the phone with corporate and corporate refunded the order to my app read more

One of the best locations I have ever been. Absolutely Love Hamilton, Memo and rest of the team. They always greet me with a smile and even start making my drink when they see me enter the store. I don't know if this Starbucks is trying or not. I get the vibe they know theyre THE SLOWEST starbucks in the world..painfully slow..whilst having 500 people working behind the counter. Even for an ice tea, I waited for ten min. When I watch them, it seems so operationally inefficient. Occassionally they exude a sense of guilt. I go in bc I live in the building but its usually a bewildering experience. The staff can see the crowd of customers building as they take their time...I thought Starbucks was an urban thing, ie. OK FIRST MORNINGS, in ORDER not to deal with big crowds I mobile order to make it easier so it gives time for to chill and not have to deal with lines. Once inside the store is so congested people you see are getting inpatient just a mess (I get it people need their coffee but they just weren't pushing out their drinks fast enough for the amount of people they had they were taking their sweet time) anyways I see my coffee grab it but don't see my bagel that I also ordered so I wait 5 minutes & nothing.. so I go up to one of the workers and and let them know and they look at me and was likoh welll so and so didn't tell you we are out of that? If you're using the mobile ordering feature around 8:30/9:00 am, do be sure to leave enough time because they get very busy around that time. Obviously, I am writing this because something affected my experience. Today, after the 3rd time in as many weeks, the mobile order here screwed me over. I only mobile order here, and do so pretty much 5 days a week on my walk to work around the corner. Several times now, and today was the one where I finally decided to write this, they have hit a point where they stopped processing mobile orders for a while. I order a coffee, something that is super easy, and doesn't even need the barista to make it. But, today, I found myself waiting for 15 minutes to get my coffee. There were 3 employees behind the counter; One was making food, one was making drinks, and one was taking orders. There were several people who made an order in line while I was there who got their barista made cafe latte or caramel machiato before I got my coffee. Disappointed more in the inconsistency, because there are times when I will order when I am 2 minutes away, and it is there when I get there, and times when I order when I am 5+ minutes away, and still end up waiting another 10 once I get there (for coffee). Guess it's time to go back to the crappy break room coffee. read more

As a loyal Starbucks customer, I've been to this location many times and had good experiences, but I'm absolutely shocked by the way I was treated this morning when I came in for my free birthday drink. I ordered a grande cold brew, and after being asked to scan various cards on my Starbucks app more than a dozen times to redeem my free birthday drink, I was told that there was a technical error and they could not place the order for my drink. I asked the woman working there if they could please give me my free birthday drink, as I went out of my way to come here before work, and she didn't respond, walked away from me and asked a barista to make me a cold brew. The barista gave me a tall cold brew instead of a grande, and when I asked for a grande, the barista didn't say anything, angrily poured the tall down the drain, made the grande and then aggressively set the grande on the counter and walked away. No "happy birthday", no "have a nice day" from anyone there. I'll be going to the Philz down the street from now on. read more
