The Starbucks is great because of how big the store is! Plenty of room to wait in line, lots of comfy tables, chairs, and couches. There's outdoor seating as well so that's nice. They always keep their sugar/cream station clean. The staff here are friendly and always willing to make a little small talk with me. My drinks always come out great. I love that it's located in a nice little plaza where there is a diner, Taco Bell, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Plenty of parking out front. read more

I totally didn't know that this Starbucks was even here! The only other Starbucks I knew around the area was the one on Capital Expy and the one on San Felipe. Anyways, friendly and fast service. I'm not sure if it's that tidy, since my table had a bunch of newpapers on it, but I didn't mind I just looking through it ha. I also tried my first caramel brulee latte here because my friend said it was good. I liked it, but she didn't tell me there was freaking caramel/toffee chunks in it! I usually come here early morning around 5am to get work done. I love the early morning staff here! They're super friendly with everyone. It's one of the nicest things to experience when you hate getting up early in the morning like me. Service is quick, and I haven't had complaints with my drinks. This review is for the drinks that we got last night. I really loved this location; they always made my drink right except for last night. We normally came in the morning, and I have to say the morning staffs is much better. We came to get our usual drink last night (6 pumps of white mocha mixed with 4 shots of espresso and add ice), however, they didn't really mix the white mocha with the espresso before adding the ice. The drink turn out really bad. Even tho we tried to mix it after they gave the drinks to us, but it didn't taste different. I am really disappointed that the quality of drinks they provided is not consistent. read more

Number one starbucks in the evergreen area in my book. Compared to the others these baristas are quick and efficient. Plus when my boyfriend and I come in to pick our usual morning "trenta iced coffees with vanilla and breve" they know our order just by us walking through the door. I've had many good experiences coming here. I highly recommend coming here rather than any of the other 5 mile radius Starbucks'. The air conditioning seems to blast crazily. Besides that, my overall experience coming here is well worth it. They're awesome! read more

First off, I just want to say that this Starbucks is really clean and most of their baristas are usually very friendly and know how to make the drinks well. It's nice, because this is the closest location to my home too. However, yesterday, when I walked in around 1:30 PM on one of the warmest days of winter, they had RUN OUT of iced green tea!!! I was really upset. Why didn't they mark out a Zen tea and brew that for the ice teas?! They guy at the register was really nice (he is always really nice) and tried to offer me other teas. I refused and just ordered a simple ice coffee and milk with five pumps of classic. As I was waiting for my coffee, I notice there were four employees working behind the counter, but only ONE person was making drinks at the bar. They were talking among themselves and with other customers, and I over heard one of them say that they were all are supervisors. Okay, if you are all supervisors, wouldn't it be smart for another one of you to jump in on the bar? I waited for 10 minutes and no one said thank you as I got my drink. I dropped in at 3 on Christmas Eve looking for last minute gift cards. It sucks because I really want to like this Starbucks...it's across the street from my house & the staff is so friendly. BUT I didn't come to make friends...I come & pay to get coffee. I don't come here often due to a number of reasons but every now n then I give them another try. I do mobile orders & it doesn't matter if the store is empty it's usually a 15min wait time (for mobile orders) which would be fine if their wait didn't always say 3-7mins. Now I know their wait times are always doubled so I order accordingly now. Then it's frustrating when I get there & still have to wait cause the mobile orders are all out of order. If I order a drink at 730 why are there 5 drinks with order times of 745 all out & ready for pick up. Then when I ask they say yes your order is right here, I'll make it now. Isn't that the point of mobile order? On top of the wait times they don't follow my mobile orders. Ex. Asked for whip they put no whip, ask for no sugar crystals & they put double, ask for soy milk they put regular (im allergic btw) & can taste the difference. I don't realize this until leaving then I'm stuck throwing away something I paid for all cause someone didn't follow the Mobile order instructions. Starbucks on Cottle road gets extremely busy & they are perfect & consistent every time, they need to have some of them train the Aborn staff. Sorry to rant but today I was fed up. I picked up my orders (2 were ready then 1 came 10mins after), my coffee actually tasted perfect. 5 mins later I'm drinking & a thick substance was in my mouth. I spit it out & this is what I find (see pic, there was more in the garbage)...i don't even know what it is but now I have to throw another full cup of coffee away. So I'm updating my review as this Starbucks is the closest one to my house and I normally don't have any problems - but it's been a handful of visits now where I have to update my review. We did an order ahead pick-up as we know that the line for this Starbucks is quiet long on a weekend morning. We ordered one drink and 2 pastries and it took longer than normal to get our order (5-7 minutes). We noticed that there was only 1 barista working the bar, but 2 people on register and 1 person for baked goods. Now mind you that we had been waiting in line to order and then place an online order pickup instead as we could tell this was going to be a long wait. It ended up that the person in front of us (where we stood in line) got their drink 15 minutes after they ordered, and 15 minutes for us to get our drink, and another 5 minutes after that to get our baked goods (20 minutes total). I don't know who the manager is but maybe assign other people to help the one person behind the bar as we could clearly see she was struggling to keep up with the orders as they were coming in. I probably will go to the other location on Aborn and Capitol as it seems they might be quicker than this location. read more

I was honestly having a bad day, thought I'd go and treat myself to some Starbucks to cheer myself up. The wait was almost nonexistent when you order online, and the workers were sweet and straight forward (honestly great customer service). I'm writing this 3 star review because my drink (a matcha creme frapp) tasted pretty much like ice and flavorless. I order this drink at a lot of different Starbucks and it's never came out like this (especially because I add extra matcha and peppermint syrup). Also there was an unholy amount of whipped cream that I assume was put to hide the fact that the frapp was underfilled. Honestly I know frapps are pretty much ice and milk anyway and I shouldn't expect too much but I was kinda disappointed this trip, could've been a bad day for the workers or it was rushed I understand. Up to now, this Starbucks store has been my go-to place whenever I need a boost for the day. I have gone to the other stores in east SJ, but none of them could make my drink as good as this place does. I always order the same drink, which is peppermint iced mocha and the baristas at this store always put a smile on my face. I am pretty sure I have encountered with most of this store's employees and I havent got any trouble with any of them so far. The staffs are super cool and friendly. My mobile order had a complication, causing the the receipt to wipe out from my Starbucks app, even though it charged my Starbucks gold card. Prince came outside and talked it over with my family, and we showed any proof we could of our order. He offered to call a different location to see if we had accidentally ordered somewhere else, but when they didn't pick up, he decided to take our order, himself. Most of the baristas are pretty good but some are pretty bad. I've had grounds in my coffee more times than other Starbucks. I've had a barista charge me a Grande when I asked for a Tall because I used my personal mug (20 oz). I get that if you fill it up it's more than a Tall. But at least tell me you're going to charge me more or fill it up 3/5 of the way. read more
