No one greets you at all and then huff and puff to come take your order after you've been standing at the register for 10 minutes. New New location, I likey. Then again I like all things "new". Located at the corner of S. Grand and Sidney; across the street from Tower Grove Park. The decor is an industrial, rustic feel. There are 2 leather chairs but no sofa which was a bummer but the long tables and steel stools made up for it. Full stock of your Starbucks favs; tins of tea, coffee, tumblers, sippers, pastries, sandwiches, parfaits and more! There's a "What's Happening" board at the front entrance if your interested. Patio seating is available with plenty of shade for you to work. The drive-thru looked forced. Tight. Sharp turn-ish but hey whatever works. Lastly, the coolest thing I've ever seen at a Starbucks was the "Customer of the Week" incentive which shout-outs a random favorite customer who receives their next drink on the house. I asked how this was made possible and Jeffrey explained "It pays to get in good with someone; it's totally random." Made no sense but at least we know its a possibility. read more

I came here for a quick meeting and Diane was absolutely phenomenal she made my day so much better with just her presence and warm cheer!

I come here multiple times a month. I always get excited when Rhett is working or helping me. Always makes great suggestions; like changing my milk on my dirty chi tea, or how many pumps to put in it. Or adding nutmeg or hazelnut to my iced americano. I work from home or at different Starbuck, I would say I got to at least 5 different locations throughout the month or not more. From St. Charles to downtown STL and everything in between plus some in IL. This is my favorite location. Have been coming here a few times a week for the past two years. It's Starbucks, it's the only one close to the hospitals and such here on S Grand so it's a popular spot. They do get busy but it's always service with a smile, they have been hiring some new great baristas recently as well! This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations in town. It's a newer location with clean interior and an upgraded drive thru with video screen ordering which makes it easier to see that your order is correct. The parking lot is fairly small but there is street parking on Sidney right next to the store. I generally do mobile ordering in the evening before work. The evening crew generally greets me by name and knows how I like my drinks. If they are out of a food item I ordered by the evening they have other suggestions ready for when I arrive. This visit I went in the drivethru at noon during the week and got a Frappuccino as a pick me up. The service was prompt and the guy working the window engaged me in conversation while I waited. I will definitely keep using this Starbucks as my preferred location. read more

No no no no I was thrilled to see this place open near my home. My first trip 7am Sunday morning and the bathrooms have lock codes on them. I asked the guy behind the counter why and was told so they can monitor who is using the bathroom. I hate this kind of snobbery so I won't be back. I'm guessing this is an anti-homeless measure but there are no lock codes at the Grand and Lindell location or the S Kingshighway location and homeless people frequent those areas without over running the coffee shops. Locking the doors helps no one but it reveals something sad about the owners heart. This is a brand new store so the owner isn't reacting to a historical situation. Perhaps they are acting on faulty assumptions about this part of town. Maybe they are worried about losing business Whatever, doesnt matter. As said earlier, I won't go back. There are plenty of other Bucks in STL and there's a perfectly wonderful privately owned coffee place closer to my house anyway -Restituto (without locked bathrooms). There are two other local coffee shops in a 3 block radius and they don't have locked bathrooms or hordes of "undesirables" hanging around. I love you Starbucks but this anti-human snobbery breaks my heart. What if a random homeless person happens by and really needs a bathroom break? I know what that is like because I'm one of the millions of Americans who has been in that situation. I'm not going to spend my money in a place that makes me feel like I'm contributing to more human misery. If I patronize you when your employees are kind to me it will only remind me of your unkindness to others and it will ruin my coffee. read more

Besides it being super busy often, usually, I really like this location. The employees are friendly and they make the hot matcha green tea well (which is not consistently the case for all locations). However, lately my grande orders have been kind of skeet. Maybe only 3/4th of the way full. I don't typically make a big deal about it when it happens here and there but it's starting to become a trend and we all know Starbucks isn't cheap. From the moment I walked in the cafe', I wished I had gone to Panera down the street! The lady at cash register and the lady who gave me my drink both had an attitude and never once smiled.
