The only parking available was one spot directly in front of the business- curb was painted green however they had orange cones with their business name blocking the street parking spot. I called and asked if someone could come out and move the cones or at least look at my photos to answer my questions. Great company. This is my second time using them. First time was to install a mini split system in my loft - which got unbearably hot for 1-2 months out of the year. That job was completed in 2021 - I have had no issues with the unit and they charge a very reasonable fee to come out and clean it every 1-2 years to keep it in great condition. This go around, my main AC unit and coil were replaced (I think I milked the last bit of cooling out of the old unit). Despite the fact that it was July and hot, they came by within 2 days - gave me a transparent and fair quote - made recommendations on some other aspects of the job (all of which were clearly explained). I negotiated a fair price with the individual on the spot (who had authority) and gave them my credit card right then and there for the deposit. The unit (because I live close to the beach) had to be salt coated, and they were spot on in terms of the quoted turn time to do that part of the job. They came on time, did a clean installation job, were very friendly. Freddy is a great guy as is the rest of the crew. No one likes dealing with replacing anything (least of all air conditioning in the summer), but they really made it a smooth and efficient process. I would use them again. read more

I called 2 other companies to only get call centers and no return call. When I called Stephen's I spoke with someone who gave me the name of the technician. Oscar promptly called back and gave me a quote over the phone. He originally didn't think he could come today (Sunday) but after talking to him about my issue he was able to squeeze me in. It was 90 minutes from first call till he drove away and fixed my air. It's currently 93 degrees in my area so thank you to this company and Oscar for top notch service on my 20 year old unit. I was charged 4.5 hours for 4 hours of actual work. The technician took 30 minutes to write up a simple one page receipt when he finished the 4 hour job. I called about the over charge and they said the van was on my property for 4.5 hours so the charge of $135 per hour is correct and that I would be expected to pay for the additional 30 minutes the technician spent writing up the receipt in front of my house. read more

The technician arrived, looked at the dripped and asked for information on the make and and model of the plumbing fixture. I provided while he was still on site. He said he needed to get a part and would be back to fix it. That was February 21st. I have contaced the technician and the business MULTIPLE times. I've texted with the technician and spoke on the phone with him. He said I needed to work with the office. I called the office and spoke with Jeanette. She promised she would be back in touch with me that day. I have NOT HEARD BACK FROM her, and have called almost every other day for the past couple weeks. When I was driving, one of the trucks of this company literally ran me off the road into the center broken line lane, almost hit my car, yelled at me, called me a weirdo for honking at the driver for almost hitting my car and driving recklessly. I was in need of an HVAC company to assess my heater after the carbon monoxide alarm went off when my wife turned on the heater. I initially tried to go thru my home warranty, but did not feel comfortable with the assessment of the company they sent out. We have used Stephens for several services since purchasing our historic home 6 months ago. We had unique issues in this 110 year old home - like two massive, asbestos-lined octopus heaters in the basement along with their large duct systems. Stephen's removed the entire system - thoroughly and safely. We also used them to install a Mitsubishi Intelli-AIR ducted heat pump system with multizones - and it's awesome. The owner and the team are professional and responded to inquiries in a timely manner. Do not believe anything they say. They came to our home to assess a malfunctioning toilet and recommended replacing it. They said it would cost about $240 to remove an old toilet and install a new one (that we would purchase separately). Once we purchased the new toilet, we called up Stephens to schedule an appointment and were given an estimate of $280. They showed up a week later for the appointment and said it would cost over $500. When I called the manager, she said they never give price estimates and they had no record of visiting our home. 100% lies. read more
