Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Super minimal cafe, nice and open seating area, beautiful interior, and DELICIOUS DRINKS. This cafe is tucked away in a business park area but its such a gem! We ordered the chai latte and a strawberry matcha latte. The chai was so good because the minute i sipped it i wished i got a larger size LOLL. There was a perfect amount of sweetness from the chai and it paired nicely with a strong taste of cinnamon. I also liked how smooth and light the drink was, didnt feel heavy at all compared to some chai lattes ive had in the past. :) The strawberry matcha was just perfect. Not too sweet, you could actually taste the strawberry and matcha flavors together, and I also wish we got a bigger size of this drink too because i could've literally chugged it in one go.. This cafe is definitely a must try + they have a few locations in the socal region! Will definitely go back to try more of their specialty lattes soonn! read more

I wasn't expecting to find this gem in a corporate nook esp late afternoon. I had tried many places that served green tea matcha latte and this cafe surprisingly delivers authentic matcha. I love my matcha unsweetened and it tasted good. On first sip, I truly enjoyed the truthfulness of what matcha should taste. There are 3 grades and I ordered the mid price hot matcha drink. I would definitely return, lol! read more

You need to stop playing and check out this place if you haven't already. Best coffee I've had in OC and it's not close. They've got a couple locations but my favorite one is the one in La Mirada. All espresso drinks are to die for. Espresso is rich, bright, and full of flavor. Best iced flat white I've ever tasted. They offer a few selections for their matcha and they're all excellent. I usually take the nakama and it's so earthy yet smooth. Bonus points for how vibrantly green it is. I swear this matcha be doing something to me. And somehow it just gets better because 10/10 service, every barista is always so cool and so chill. If you come here and don't have a 5 star experience then you should reevaluate because this place is that good. read more

With a 5 star average for Yelp reviews, naturally I had to see what it's a about. 100% agree, it's 5 star in every way! Food - delicious Location - cute with plenty of outdoor seating Service - great Prices - reasonable I think the pictures this time say it all. The vanilla latte with almond milk was unique. Avocado toast as mentioned by many, it one of the best I've had and beautifully presented. I wasn't going to get the granola, but the gentleman working recommended it and it was delicious. There was 1 gentleman working the front and I assume 1 or 2 in the kichen for the fresh to order foods. I was beyond impressed with the front employee who took care of all the customers, took orders, made drinks, knew the menu well, was confident when i asked for recommendactions (of which he was spot on), brought the food out when it was ready, and in a timely manner. Oh yes, kind and well wishes for a great day were the icing on the cake. I love a place with great service to make great food. This was definitely a winner. read more

It was good! Had the Nakama latte and regular latte. I wouldn't say it's anything special (maybe I ordered the matcha incorrectly or maybe I've just been spoiled by other matcha lattes) but it was still yummy and I'm glad I tried it . We were on vacation in Newport area and looking for local coffee shops. Came across Stereoscope though a bit skeptical because many of the reviews talked about their matchas, and we wanted latte. Very glad we went - got a latte with oat milk and one of their specialty lattes. They were smooth and well balanced. Also got one of the pastries with passion fruit and cheese. It was delicious as well. The shop is located in a business building which provides many outdoor seatings. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will try their matcha next time we are in the area. read more

Stopped by for the first time yesterday. Had the ice vanilla latte. It was pretty good. The beans/espresso were on the tart/bitter side but I was impressed that the shop was open and running while the wework and law office it shares all seem to be closed. About a 10 minute wait for the drink and I was on my way. Also nice touch was them saying if I needed any alterations they'd be happy to do them. Saw old 3d glasses all on the shelves would have been cool to hear the story behind the name. read more

Def one of the more prettier Stereoscope cafes compared to the other locations! Don't be deceived by the indoor pictures though because indoor space is very small. There are a few tables in the back, but there are some outdoor seatings available as well. I love their basil pesto chick sandwich, avocado toast, and caprese sandwich! My fav drinks currently are the matcha milk and matcha tonic. There is free parking in the front available, but they get filled very fast. There is also a parking structure which they will validate, but you may need to pay for it if you plan to stay at this cafe for a few hours to work. read more

Stereoscope has been my go to spot for my Sunday breakfast. The building that houses Stereoscope is an open space with a great ambiance where you can study or take a nice walk around the corporate park. The Breakfast burrito and Matcha Milk is a perfect match and mix. Personally I like my breakfast burrito without cheese. Their service is exceptional as you can mobile order or order in person and if there needs to be changes to the drink they will correct or recommend immediately. I got to give it to Stereoscope-- despite being located in the middle of an office park, the café has a sleek, cool, modern identity that makes it feel like its own little island. I got the vanilla latte. It was fine, but not a standout to me (compared to other local coffee shops at similar price points). I'd be interested in trying something else next time. Service was good; though I had minimal interactions w the staff, they were pretty nice. I came at Sunday around noon. Oof...i know everyone else seems to love this place on yelp, but i cant bring myself to give it 4 or 5 stars. The coffee?... yes 5 stars. The service behind the counter?...5 stars Coffee culture ambiance....3 stars, its in an office complex just like every other coffee shop in the lower OC, i just hate this. There were some really obnoxious loud employees, owner?, friends? Sitting and milling around in the small and crowded space inside where guests and customers would normally sit, i think they were stamping their materials cant remember exactly, they were sooo loud in such a small space. It was very unpleasant as a paying customer, and a first time one at that. Really turned me off...3 stars. Im not going there again. read more

Some of the best matcha you can get in OC. Parking is easy with validation, I've been a few times where they had issues with their POS system and I didn't get the chance to use my 20% off which sucked, I've tried only the morning bun (i think? covered in sugar) which was really good. There's some seating. Service is always fine, nothing overly amazing. The most frustrating part is that the ceremonial matcha I like to get is 6 for just the tea and 7 something for it as a latte. But if you want alternative milk, you have to pay ANOTHER 1.25 for alternate milk which is, by most coffee shop standards, even quite high for milk alternatives. You're looking at about 9 dollars before tip, and there's even one more expensive tier of matcha after that. I've tried all 3 levels of the ceremonial matchas and recommend the middle tier Yorokobi. read more

Friendly baristas and quick service. Props to the one man holding down the fort for the thirsty customers! The espresso based drinks are made very well and taste delicious. This brand new location is located in a rather odd place in my opinion, but is still easy to access to the general public. This location is inside a business park type development, but parking is free (Stereoscope will validate for up to 2 hours free parking). There are some street parking, but don't fret if no spaces are available. The garage has a dedicated visitors parking entrance. There are some great outdoor seating areas with benches, but there unfortunately isn't anywhere else to go that is walking distance. read more

love this place! i'm not from orange county but i come here often to visit, i'm kinda picky when it comes to my coffee, but this coffee was amazing!! i like my coffee sweeter but they sweetened their lattes just enough. i got a salted caramel latte and it was amazing, sweet but salty and was the espresso is very good. the service was really good, i went here back in july and service was okay not bad but nothing special. i went here last week and the lady who took my order was very sweet, seemed very happy to be working there and you could tell she enjoyed her job. the shop is cute but small, although i wish there was more seating/place to stand its very unique, would recommend this place. parking is interesting but there is a garage across the street make sure to show them your ticket to get two free hours of parking! read more

We love Stereoscope! The parking situation is pretty terrible, and the line is usually long, but it's worth it. The baristas are friendly, and make the best "matcha milk" in Orange County. We love the outdoor seating, and it's one of our favorite weekend spots. Edit: Apparently you can park in the garage directly across the street and can validate for 2 hours. Didn't know this, but it'll be helpful for next time I visit! read more

first of all, park in the garage across from stereoscope and they will validate for up to 2 hours. I enjoyed my first experience here and can't wait to return. Also note that they have more seating all the way inside if you don't want to enjoy the outdoor seating pros - I was quite impressed by their food menu as it's quite extensive for a typical coffee shop - food was good! - aesthetically pleasing - convenient online ordering - free medium drink with purchase of beans!! - my pour over didn't come out for a bit and they made it quickly when I asked them about it and even gave me a card for a free medium drink! This coffee shop was really cool and had a nice aesthetic to it. LA based coffee roaster and cafe, utilizing high quality single origin beans and specialty teas. Their menu is diverse, offering an impressive selection of choices you will not find just anywhere. I am unsure of the ambience or baked goods situation at this Newport Beach location, as I ordered delivery via Postmates, which arrived quickly. My Iced Flat White with oat milk was exceptional. The espresso was nutty and floral; very full bodied and creamy. The drink was expertly crafted. The Strawberry Matcha was good too, albeit on the watery side. I liked that it was not overly sweet, and the strawberry syrup tasted fresh/house made. I wish they included pastries on their delivery menu and hope they will consider adding them. Overall very good. I had a moca. The drink was smooth and no bitterness. The blueberry muffin was only OK. It seemed more like whole wheat or oat flour and so was more dry and less sweet than I want in a muffin. Blueberry flavor was good. The pistachio croissant was very very good. Very large but mostly air as a croissant should be. Very flaky. The almond croissant was enjoyed by my wife. I did not get any We were there on Thanksgiving day at 7:30 am the kit hen opened at 8 so we did not get to try other items. Service was good and the staff very friendly. I did not pay but I think the bill came to about $33 before tip read more

They weren't lying when they said it was the best matcha in OC. My boyfriend and I love trying matcha everywhere that it's available and this is by far our favorite! The staff was very friendly and efficient. This location has plenty of seating and the ceiling decor is beautiful. I was going for a swim and run in the area, and needed a little boost beforehand. First of all - it's very hard to find a coffee place (non Starbucks) that is open past 2 or 3pm, so I appreciate Stereoscope's hours. I was able to get a tea latte (tea with steamed milk) in the late afternoon... so I was a very happy Kristin. (Note: $4.75, which is slightly more than I pay everywhere else -- but again -- I appreciate their hours.) The only thing that would give this place five stars is the one thing that's outside of their control: parking. If you're looking to just "pop in" super fast, it's not that easy. I ended up double parking in the loading zone right out front. The office complex should have someone watching the loading/green zone a little closer. There were cars parked there that were there longer than my entire time (about 8 - 10 minutes). If that area was used effectively, it wouldn't be so much of an issue. While the garage is not that far away, it was a little farther than I had time for. Great little find. Nice outdoor space, too! 2022: 13/100 read more

I came in after a morning workout; it was a little hard to find at first as business buildings surrounded it. I would suggest parking in the parking structure across from them. Once you get your ticket, you can validate it for 2 hours at Steroscope. I got a strawberry matcha latte and a pistachio croissant to go, but I did take a couple of bites on the way back to my car. It looked that good. And the strawberry matcha was good, just a tad too sweet for my liking. I would probably come back and get the normal ceremonial matcha latte and the chai to see how those are. I definitely have to come back and try the rest of the fantastic pastries they had on display. The service was also excellent, and they made my drink quite quickly. I've been a regular at Steroescope Coffee for about two years now, so this isn't a "one off bad experience" sort of review. To be honest the only thing that kept me coming back was the actual coffee itself, but that's about it. The lines and wait time are no joke, we're talking about waiting 15+ minutes in line to order, to then waiting another 15+ minutes for the drinks and food. There have been times I waited close to an hour for just a drink. In the last few months I decided to swith to ordering online, since if I time it right my drink will be ready when I arrive (hopefully). I order the same thing every time. A large cold brew, less ice with a pump of vanilla syrup. Simple right? Well today when I arrive to pick up my coffee order the barista hands me my drink and I immediately notice its about 3/4 of the way full (See attached photo). I give the coffee and barista a perplexed look, to then be told "all of our drinks here go by a specific recipe, so because you ordered less ice, the drink isn't going to look full". I'm sorry, but what? The drink is literally just a cup full of ice and cofee? What recipe do you need to follow for that? I could understand this logic behind maybe a latte, but my drink wasn't filled to the top because I ordered less ice? I was shockeded and disappointed to say the least. To pay $6.50 for a cold brew that's only filled 3/4 of the way full because I asked for less ice feels like robbery. After a little over two years of coming to this location, this unfortunatley will be the final nail in the coffin for me. read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem. It's hidden in a complex with mostly corporate buildings, and the place is kinda tucked in the corner. Because it's in a corporate complex, the bathroom is super fancy! It gives me classy modern vibes. The coffee shop itself is ok the smaller side with about 6 tables for 2 with maybe 6 tables outside. There is however an atrium outside of the coffee shop with plenty of seating. I saw many people just order their drinks and then go sit in the atrium. I was able to study in the store for a couple hours, but it wouldn't be a long term study space for me as I couldn't find any outlets there. I ordered the matcha while I was there and it was absolutely delicious! I loved how high quality the matcha tasted, and the drink was very creamy. I got mine half sweet and I thought that was perfect to let the matcha shine. One comment I will make is the parking is not ideal. The closest parking is in a parking structure. Stereoscope does validate parking for 2 hours, but if you're planning to study this might not be enough. If you don't mind walking, there's street parking down the road a little bit near the dealership and near the hiking trail. I think the parking there had a 4 hour max, which is a little bit better if you ask me. It is a little hit of a walk, but hey free parking is worth. Overall: 8.5/10 Drink: 8.5/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Price: $5.50 read more

Leading with "I can't" is never the right customer service instinct, especially for something as basic as a receipt. I also tried to buy the butter they import from France. I stood at the case for several minutes with no acknowledgment. I finally walked over to the nearest employee (her name was Lucy) who was finishing up with a customer at the register right next to the butter section. I politely asked if she could help me when she was free. She looked at me, nodded, and said she would. Then proceeded to assist every customer who lined up behind that original customer without once glancing back in my direction. In fact, I had enough time to walk to the bakery, go through the entire gift card situation as mentioned above, and return to the butter section, and Lucy still hadn't looked over. I left without the butter. Moulin used to have fantastic service. I don't know where those regulars went, but two strikes in one visit, with two different employees, is hard to brush off.

Yes! Finally some good coffee past Disneyland! So excited to have Stereoscope Coffee Co open up here! I love their original location in Buena Park! And get my caffeine fix at Sqirl or Doubting Thomas when in LA. Now I can drive down the 73 and grab their amazing pourovers. They have some of the best, roasted coffee I've ever had! Highly recommend purchasing a bag because it comes with any free drink! I usually get their pourovers, hot or iced. Or if I'm in a rush, their cold brew. The origin of the cold brew changes daily and it's soo interesting to taste the little nuances of the coffee. I also recommend their lattes, any one of their lattes are perfectly made, such as the Spanish or Vanilla. They make their own syrups and it's not too sweet and you can definitely taste the espresso. Not a coffee drinker? I've tried all their teas. Amazing artisan collection. Oh! And their matcha. OMG, their matcha is to die for! Literally. Lately, I've been gravitating to their Royal Milk Tea too and Lychee Peachy when I don't want caffeine. Their coffee is highly caffeinated so on days I don't need it, I venture out to their non caffeine section and it's amazing what quality drinks they have! Not to mention everyone is so nice here! I recently visited Stereoscope Coffee and ordered the Mizuba Ceremonial Matcha Nakama. The drinks came out pretty quickly, but I had to wait around 10-20 minutes in line, which was a bit frustrating considering the long wait. The matcha itself was a letdown. It was grainy, and I could feel the texture of the unblended matcha bits as I drank it. I really wish they took more care in grinding and blending the matcha to give it a smoother, more refined taste. It left a weird aftertaste in my mouth, almost like I was drinking dry matcha powder--definitely not the refreshing experience I was hoping for. Stereoscope Coffee in Newport is one of the best cafés I've visited. The coffee is consistently excellent, smooth, and full of flavor. Their espresso is dialed in better than anywhere else in Orange County, and the pour overs are always worth the wait. The space is modern, unique, and thoughtfully designed. It may be small, but it feels intentional and elevated rather than cramped. It is the kind of place where you actually want to stay for a while instead of just grabbing your drink and leaving. The matcha brûlé deserves a mention too. It is creative, carefully prepared, and a great option if you want something different from coffee. Highly recommend I consider Stereoscope to exceptional in the quality of their drinks. Everything i've had from here has been pretty good. It's a little pricey, but I think it's definitely worth. The only think i've though was questionable was their pre-sweetened matcha latte--it was too sweet. Adjust it to be less sweet. Service is extremely friendly and helpful. The interior is very nice, albeit very small. RESCINDED [Parking is terrible. This place has the highest quality of coffee with multiple selections of single origins. On top of that, the food that they have is insanely good (especially Gem lettuce)! The hospitality of workers are outstanding and they know what they are doing! Lastly, the ceiling was made with a 3D painting that is very unique and special to this place. You can get the 2 hours of free parking validation from them as well, so parking shouldn't be a problem to visit here! read more
