    1/2 Pound Snow Crab
    Ali M.

Incredibly slow service, with no sense of urgency. Very bizarre night we had here. We sat at our table for 25 minutes before we were greeted. I felt sympathy for our server because she was the only server for the entire 8-table rooftop, and was also in charge of making all of her table's drinks, on a Saturday night, during the summer, in a restaurant in a very popular vacation area. To do this efficiently would be difficult for even the most seasoned of servers. Any sort of acknowledgement or apology would have gone a really long way, though. My 1/2 Pound Snow Crab barely contained any meat because the legs were so thin. Thankfully, I got to eat some of my friend's Crab Cake Sandwich, which was tasty and I enjoyed the creamy homemade dill sauce it came with. I also loved the Sting Shooter oyster shot. The oyster was huge (almost too big!) and you get a souvenir shot glass. Hopefully, this was just a one-off night. Wishing better for this restaurant in the future!

The service here was fantastic. I arrived here for a birthday celebration before the rest of the group. I was given a table in the area that I preferred with stellar service. The drinks are strong and tasty. The food was hot and good. Everything is made to order. There are no food warmers so your food comes straight to you once prepared. It's a family friendly environment that is lively.

Sting Ray's Seafood completely blew my mind with their portion sizes. Dana was my server and she did a great job making sure everything came out smoothly. I ordered the Ramsey Snow Crab boil for one and had to double check that it wasn't for two because the platter was huge. It came with three snow crab legs, about a pound of shrimp, a pound of sausage, plus potato and corn. There was no way I could have finished it all by myself. I also tried the crab fritters as an appetizer, which were like mini crab cake balls, and they were really good. The only negative aspect of my visit was the bathroom located inside the restaurant. While using it I stepped on a tile in front of the toilet that popped up and threw me off balance. It may be a little TMI for a restaurant review, but it is definitely a safety hazard. I really hope the restaurant gets this addressed promptly because I often travel with my elderly grandmother, and I can only imagine how dangerous that could be for her or anyone else.

    Steamed clams, no broth
    Christen A.

Decided to visit Stingrays when I saw clams on the menu. I was expecting them to include a lemon and butter broth that typically has a splash of wine in it as well, but these were served dry, covered in some type of paprika based seasoning that overpowered the clams' delicate flavor. I asked for bread and received a hoagie roll and some type of liquid trying to assume the identity of drawn butter. The service was good and ambiance pleasant- and there are at least three cats ( one named Old Bay) but food was definitely disappointing.

More like 4 1/2 stars! This was our second favorite restaurant on island. The place is quite casual with an upper and outside deck. Inside there is a bar and several low and high tables. We chose to sit in the air conditioning. The bar was full of folks eating and drinking. And the restaurant was quite busy but we got good and friendly service. I started with their "famous" crab stew. It was creamy and packed with crab meat. Very, very good. After that i had their softshell crab sandwich. It came with fries but I switched to red potatoes. There were two meaty lightly breaded soft shells on the roll. Done of the best I've had in a long time. My husband had the peel n eat shrimp. Served warm and buttery, there was a lot of shrimp in his half pound portion. He said they were great. We'd definitely recommend this restaurant. And I would go back in a heart beat for those soft shell crabs....

Sadly I would stay shy of this place if you are visiting Tybee. We went here for dinner tonight on Tuesday and found out the rooftop dining is only open on Friday & Saturday. Oh well. We sat outside. The ambiance is... interesting, especially on the ground level where we sat directly adjacent to the sidewalk and busy road. Our server was nice, and got our drink and food order pretty quick. After our food was delivered, we did not see them until it was time for the check. Ok, onto the food. The food was disappointing at best. I got the cheeseburger (granted this is a seafood place) and expected better. It tasted like a boiled burger. Like one you get in high school at the cafeteria. They asked me how I wanted it cooked as well. The fries were those scrunched up ones you get frozen from the store. Not sure if they were frozen here, but they were alright. My partner got the snow crab and said it was alright. All in all, for the price (and if you're just dining and not sitting at the bar) - I would steer clear of this place. Many other places on the island where you can get much better food for a much better price.

Service was fast, friendly and fantastic! Great recommendation on the Dungeness Crab ! 3 clusters for 1 serving. Delicious! Coconut shrimp was crispy and perfectly cooked. The upstairs bar was great. The tables are a little high and chairs we ere awkward to sit in. It was still okay, just needs a little tweaking .

We were in Savannah for my cousin's bachelor party, and there were eight of us. Every meal, a different cousin got to pick where we ate. One afternoon, someone suggested Oakie's because it was close to Tybee Beach. The only thing I had asked all weekend was, "Let's make it a sit-down restaurant." As we pulled into the parking lot, I immediately realized this was a deli--walk up to the counter, order your food, and either take it to go or grab one of the small café-style tables. My cousin walked in first, I followed behind him, and he turned around and looked at me. I just shook my head and said, "Nope... there's nowhere for eight of us to sit. Let's go somewhere else." While everyone debated where to go next, one of my cousins said, "We're wasting time. Let's just grab food here and eat wherever." Best. Decision. We. Made. The. Entire. Trip. I ordered the Turkey Supreme, and while we waited we watched a steady stream of locals and visitors coming in and out. Eventually we all found places to sit and just decided to eat there. Three of us took our first bite, looked at each other, and almost at the same time said, "We're coming back here for breakfast tomorrow before we head home." And that's exactly what we did. We ate here twice in less than 24 hours and couldn't stop talking about how incredible the food was. Fresh ingredients, perfectly made sandwiches, generous portions, and everything was packed with flavor. Sometimes the simplest places end up serving the best food. I had raw local oysters, falafel bites, and nachos. The oysters were fresh, chilled and served with interesting condiments. The falafel was sizzling hot and served with delicious tzatziki. I opted for South African sausage on the nachos and they were an interesting dining experience: made with sturdy potato chips instead of tortilla chips. The best part? The margaritas! Yes, latest visit since we also visited June 2025, and gave that visit a 4 star. Let me say there were several issues during this visit. First, they didn't have a common beer available, claiming they ran out of Corona. Now it is a Friday night and you're going into the weekend without one of the most popular beers - just crazy. Next I ordered the Low Country Boil, well after a few minutes another person comes to me as says they have no potatoes for the meal and offered extra sausage to make up the meal. I accepted that. When my meal came out, the server now tells me they owe me 2 more pieces of corn and they would quickly bring that to me. Guess what - never got them. The two pieces I did get were cold - I mean not fully boiled/cooked. Icy cold inside. Now we were with several other couples and one couple had to ask for their drinks a second time. Fact is their meal came out before their first drinks. I have to also mention the men's rooms. I was clearly hadn't been checked or cleaned in a while. Now let's face it, it got screwed up due to nasty guests, but staff really need to check it every so often. Folks I visit Tybee twice a year and there are plenty of options on the island. I think the Zunibar has lost my future business, as well as the 3 other couples we were with. If you choose here you have been warned. I hope you have a better visit.

To say that she wears many hats is an understatement. She greeted us when we sat at the bar, by the way, did I mention that you can reserve seats at the bar? She described the menu items in a way that you only expect to find from a waiter in the finest restaurants in the world. "Imagine Folgers... but worse," he said. I grew up on Eight O'Clock coffee--the only brand worse than Folgers-- so opted to brave the drip from Sea Wolf Tybee. How bad could it really be? Really bad. The Sea Wolf Tybee coffee was really, really, bad. The owners have made a deal with the barrier island devil where their successful establishment came at the expense of serving the worst coffee on earth. The coffee wasn't just bland, it was reeking with flavor, as if a tybee island horseshoe crab has been decaying in the coffee pot since the eatery was established in 2020. The server tried his hardest to prevent this 4-star review by warning me about the coffee, and in his defense the taste is not why I deducted Sea Wolf Tybee one star. I deducted one star because the vile 12oz cup of black drip coffee was $5 dollars. Like any diner at a lunch spot, I did not check the coffee's price before ordering it, assuming it'd be the standard $2-3 dollars. Even specialty coffee shops max their drip coffee prices at $4.50. Instead, Sea Wolf Tybee has opted to charge $5, rake-in a 95% profit margin, and exploit the trust of patrons who assume a cup of joe won't cost as much as Georgia's hourly minimum wage. I'm a former barista and coffee-lover, and $5 is the most expensive drip coffee I have ever encountered. Sea Wolf Tybee had outdone itself--the bill was more nauseating than the coffee.
