We went to Stone Fire Grill yesterday to take advantage of their indoor dining. We were pleased with the social distancing measures! Our first pleasurable interaction was with Juan, who took our order and was very pleasant. Once we sat down, we got our drinks. Before you know it, our salads were brought out. Shortly after, Herman brought out our delicious food. He enthusiastically asked us if there was anything else we needed! That doesn't happen often as these days the servers usually just bring the food and don't bother checking on you again. Back to the food, it was top notch! The chicken was tender and the ribs melt in your mouth. The mashed potato's don't even need gravy. I could eat those daily if I had the chance! The breadsticks here are better than Olive Garden. Sorry Olive Garden, you will always have my business, but it's true! The general manager, Carlos, came by to clear our plates after we were done with our meal. He also brought us a bag for our leftovers. We chatted with Carlos for a bit and expressed our profuse satisfaction with everything. After speaking to Carlos for a minute or 2, it was quite clear that exceptional customer service is the culture that Carlos encourages. He is very personable and actually cares about the customers having a positive experience. If the management cares, then the rest of the employees will follow suit. That is clearly the case at this Stone Fire Grill location. Carlos is the perfect person to keep the morale at an optimal level here. Everyone was very nice. The establishment was also very clean. It had been a while since I had dined at a Stone Fire Grill, I had forgotten how delicious the food is! I will be coming back for more thanks to Carlos and his wonderful team! read more

I would call this an over rated & priced cafeteria style eatery. The set up is interesting as I am sure you have read from others. Our food was not good. The salad was loaded with a lot of carrots pre tossed in dressing. The complimentary breadsticks were plain. Lance ordered the pulled pork sandwhich was a D+ the bbq sauce was ok. The beans taste like chilli (not bad) The chicken tortilla soup Do Not waste your money because it has absolutely no flavor (F-). My tri tip was cooked perfectly, that was the only thing i ate. We had Stone Fire Grill cater our 51st anniversary. I just want to start off with the catering office. The ladies that helped us were so professional and helpful. I felt like they knew what they were doing and gave me several suggestions to make my choices easier. The day of our party, the food was on-time steaming hot and ready to serve. So now to the most important part, the food. When we took the lid off the salad, our guests took pictures of it because it was so beautiful! The lemon chicken was out of this world and the ribs to die for. Mac and cheese and garlic mash potatoes were also a hit. Can't forget the bread sticks, yum. The topper was their famous carrot cake, just wow! I highly recommend them for any party you may be planning. The prices were also reasonable and we got soo much food. Thanks again SFG read more

I went to this location with my husband and my brother's family for a holiday dinner and had the worst time! They we extremely short-staffed, totally unorganized our orders were all screwed up. We had to constantly ask when we were going to get our orders and were given the same line about being short-staffed, blah... We were not offered any dessert nor at any time did we get an apology or even an acknowledgement of anything. I don't think there were any supervisors or managers that night. I was really embarrassed about this because the last time I had a meal there, the service was great and I told my brother it was great. Stonefire Grill is one of our favorite places to eat; especially having the Tri Tip. So we decided to go to the Brea location to check them out. It's located at a shopping center, across from Target. In my opinion, there is plenty of parking so it should not be an issue. When we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed by the friendly staff. With social distancing in place, you can order take out, but you have the option of eating at the patio. We decided to get the 1/2 lb of Mesquite Tri Tip, Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs and their delicious slice of Carrot Cake. So we waited for a bit for our order at the patio, then it arrived. The Mesquite Tri Tip had flavor and was moist. The Baby Back Ribs were delicious and had flavor as well. Some of the meat did fall of the bone when I took a bite. For dessert, the Carrot Cake was amazingly good. It's moist and it is perfect for after a meal and since I ordered a large slice, it was perfect for 2 people to share. My overall experience at this location was great and the customer service was good from the friendly staff. In my personal opinion, I would recommend Stonefire Grill at the Brea location and on my next visit, I would like to try their other items on their menu. read more

My husband's ribs were very undercooked and tough. The chicken breast was tough as well. The best part of his meal was the Cesar salad was very good. My nachos were very overcooked from the conveyor belt and sticking to the plate. My chicken tortilla soup was cold and I asked for them to heat it up. My husband brought home the ribs and cooked them at 250 degrees for three hours covered and they were delicious. I must say that this place charged way too much for poorly prepared food and we will never return or recommend Stonefire Grill to anyone! read more

I have been a fan of Stonefire for years but had only visited the Irvine location, until Mother's Day this year and now, after my latest experience, I don't know if I'll ever visit or recommend Stonefire again. I ordered curbside pickup for about 8 people, hoping for a carefree meal for my mom and my wife, on Mother's Day. What we experienced at Brea Stonefire was not that. In short, our tri tip was rare at best, pizza was cold, forgot breadsticks, and no bbq sauce. I ended up calling to speak with a Manager to voice my concerns, knowing based on previous experiences that I would be compensated for this obvious foul up, and I was promised just that. The manager whom I spoke with promised to send a gift card to our house for about $25 more than what I paid. This was acceptable for us. However the gift card never showed up. 2 weeks later I called and spoke with another manager explaining the situation, and they again promised a gift card to be mailed to us. Here were almost 5 months later and no gift card. I really wish to have not experienced this as we loved Stonefire. Too bad! read more

This location has messed up my order every single time i've ordered online from them. I've called to tell them that they put meat on my salad when i'm a vegetarian and asked for none and that they also messed up the other 3/4 salads we ordered and instead of refunding us for those salads or offering to remake them, the manager said she'd give us a 10% refund which isn't even anything because we included a tip on our order. I understand completely that they were busy and things happen, and i also am a manager and run a store so i get it, but they need to accommodate better. read more

I've been twice, a decent time between the two, and had the same exact overall poor experience both times. Extremely poor service - beers came out about 20 minutes after ordering them, it took forever to get our food, our family got their meals easily 10 minutes apart even though they were on the same order, and some orders were wrong. The chicken is the most moist, well cooked chicken I've had, but all of the other food does not live up to the price, and I'm not a picky eater. And the second time we were on the patio and they locked the doors on us right at closing time, so we couldn't go inside to get refills, utensils, napkins or use the restroom, even though their were people still eating inside. My husband and I ate here for the first time on 1/18/23. The place is bigger than we thought. The Turkey Club was good. The Fiesta Bowl had way too many red onion in it. I took it home and stir fried it to make it eatable. The silverware was old and streaky. There were several tables that had dirty dishes that no one cleared away. I kept wondering why the staff left them all there! The staff was just standing around doing nothing. We cleaned our table off when we left and put our dishes on a table that had a bunch of other dirty dishes on it and said we would never eat there again to each other. I am highly dissatisfied with the customer service from this location! My family and I went to have dinner on Friday Night and when we arrived there was a lot of people just standing around the cashier area highly confused as to all the dinning area tables were being taken out of the restaurant to an outside area and when we reached the cashier area we were asked if we were all together because there was nowhere to sit our party as they had a huge party of 80 they were setting up for and they put us aside and were letting other people behind us come to the front to order as they were parties of 2-4 but that was not fair at all as it was the same thing as trying to accommodate our party. & when i asked to speak to the person in charge i asked why were we not allowed to be helped but others were and she simply said it is first come first serve yet we were there first and they were attending people that were in line behind us! So we were denied seating and we were not able to place an order then they said yes you can order but you will have to wait until we make the food for the party of 80 in front of you! Alsooo! I called a different location to see if they can fit us in and they said we can't take reservations it's a first come first serve situation so how is it that they can reserve a whole area for 80 people but couldn't accommodate us! I am really dissatisfied and disappointed because i really enjoy eating here but after this bad experience it doesn't give me any hopes of going back anytime soon. Supper bad coordination of the employees and the manager was no help at all she's pregnant and she just looked ready to go home and rest... My family and I came here to celebrate our kids school certificate. We had a party of 6 and arrived around 615pm. Upon arrival we were observing many of the tables being drug around and placed outside along with all chairs. When we were called to order we were told "we're prepping for a party of 80 so it's going to be a wait". I saw several tables empty and some extra chairs that would easily accommodate my family and I. We were then told we would be sat and have no issue with being served. After a bit of back and forth with the manager we were ultimately told we would have to sit in separate booths and would be put on a waiting list to order food due to the party of 80. This party of 80 had not even arrived yet by the way. We agreed and went to the table they provided and the family sitting next to the empty table stated "oh actually we're using this table" and the worker put up no fight and at that point it had been over 25 minutes that we were going back and forth just to get a seat. Can you imagine just wanting to go eat and having to put up a fight with a worker about getting a seat for you and your kids, it's absurd to be honest. This place is so disorganized so mismanaged and the customer service is down right horrible. During the whole fiasco of trying to figure out of this giant restaurant could seat 6 people there were many families which were white that were allowed to be seated ahead of us with no issues, I don't understand what they did to get immediate service but not us. I'm not sure if it's because my family and I are Mexican in a predominantly white area but we were treated terribly by the workers here. They really showed us that service workers now a days could careless about quality professionalism and being nice to customers. I've written the corporate office with ZERO reply which tells me this company must be very used to having these issues and just staying silent. It was out first time coming here on a Sunday evening. Ordered food at 6:50 and it came out at 7:25. While we were eating our chicken, we noticed a little blood coming out of it. We informed one of the workers and they said it's fully cooked but we can throw it back onto the fire. We let them cook it for us again but when it came out, pieces were missing! I ate at a Stonefire Grill in Fountain Valley years ago and remembered enjoying the food, and I remember ordering from a server and menu at our table. So I was excited to finally try the Brea location. The part where we had to order right when we walked in didn't really bother me, even though it was unexpected from the last time we went to SF Grill as I mentioned above. And finding a table was easy too. Beyond that, it was one disappointment after another. My family of 4 all received our food in random order, spaced apart. The portions were smaller than I expected for the price - my tri tip and chicken plate just looked sad and lonely on the big plastic plate. My daughter's steak and cheese sandwich was dry and bland. My son's side of mashed potatoes never came....good luck flagging down someone for help (thankfully we eventually got someone to help us). Overall, it felt like a cafeteria experience with cafeteria food and cafeteria plates, except that an actual cafeteria experience would have been better because we would have each gotten our food together at the same time and our order would be complete. I'm pretty pissed off as I sit here eating my dinner. First off, there's a lot of people seated but ordering food-- line was just me. I spoke pretty clearly when I ordered my food. I ordered the crowd pleaser "our favorite" which came with TRI TIP , whole chicken, 2 sides, and 1 large salad of your choice. For the chicken the cashier asked me "do you want lemon pepper or bbq for the chicken?"
