I got the garlic steak, the flavor was nice, but it was very chewy. It's more than one person could eat for sure. The garlic bread and oatmeal cookie was really amazing. this place was great! you place your order first and then wait to be seated. the food didn't take too long to arrive and it was absolutely tasty. we ordered the 1/2 tri tip and 1/2 chicken meal for 4 which came with salad and breadsticks. we also got mashed potatoes and a cheese pizza for the kids. i do have to say i wasn't a fan of the tri tip but overall we were very satisfied with the service and the food. read more

My first visit to this place was pleasant. I ordered the Tri Tip Steak and mash potatoes and never tasted anything so good ! I also got a beer which was pretty cheap ,$4 considering it is a restaurant. We've been eating at Stonefire for years. I just realized I had never reviewed it before! We were in again for dinner and it was fine, as usually. Their food is really great - super tri-tip and ribs for me. I would give it five stars but their booths are a bit run down - the seating is really sort of lumpy and uncomfortable after a while. Around two years ago it was really bad and I think they finally fixed the seats, but mine was wearing out again. Friendly and patient staff, great prices. Just get going on those seats! :) read more

On Monday May 7, I placed a phone order for 2 french dips, 2 a la carte BBQ chicken breasts, and 1 sm BBQ chopped salad. Order was warm and ready to go within 15 minutes (when I arrived). So, at Stonefire Grill you order at a register and take your own seat. I'm starting with that because I didn't know it and there's not a single sign or indication that you do that. Because we had a larger group (7) they told us it would be a 20-minute wait. Again, no mention of their unusual ordering system. After 40 minutes we are finally given seats. No one comes to the table. We sit. Finally my wife goes to ask what the heck is going on, and we are FINALLY told we have to go back up to the front of the restaurant and order. That's another 20 minutes. We've now been here an hour, spent $100+ and have no idea if or when we'll get our food. Edited to add: the food was ok, except the missing entree, missing sauce, and missing side dish. And my tri-tip, while tasty, was room temperature, at best. read more

Let me start off saying my family loves this place. It has something for everyone and food is consistent and delicious. We have been to multiple locations but frequent this one the most. We wanted pizza and thought based on photos on their website and customer photos from Yelp we were in for a treat. We have never had pizza from STONEFIRE but I cannot remember the last time I have been so let down when a photo was so far away from the product I received. We got it for take out and we're very disappointed when we got home. The taste seriously lacked too and both pizzas radiated sogginess from the center on out. I am posting a picture of our tomato & basil pizza compared to the one from their website. The pepperoni one we got for the kids was just as disappointing. This seriously tasted like something out of the freezer section of a grocery store. I would return here but never order or recommend any of the pizzas based on our experience. read more

Super busy on Christmas Eve. I ordered a bbq chicken salad size Petite. I was going to order the medium size but the girl at the cashier advise me petite size is what I'm looking for because their medium are huge. Sure enough she was right. My "petite" salad was huge. I ate only half of it I can't imagine how big a medium is. The salad was not what i expected. It didn't taste like a bbq chicken salad. It was on the dried side. Ordered food last weekend for my entire family and it was honestly horrible. My order was completely wrong and the food that I actually got was cold. I was so disappointed because my kids and I love stonefire but this time was a really a let down. Even the bread sticks tasted like they were days old. My salads came wrong and with no dressing when we ordered extra dressing so basically my dogs got some tri tip and the rest went in the trash. I called to let them know my experience but I was pretty much rushed of the phone with a 25 dollar gift card. I appreciate the gesture but my order was over 65 so 25 dollars wont even feed my family again. This chain is by far on top of my list in every category: accuracy of the orders they take, speed, food selection, taste, the freshness of the food, cost, food portions and the list goes on and on. Since we have discovered this chain, we rarely buy food from other restaurants. From time to time you may encounter a rude employee at the take out counter but that does not stop us from going back. The male employees in general are more friendly compare to some of the female ones they hire. I find this to be the case in most businesses though where men provide, in general, better customer service than women. Overall love the food. read more

Picked up takeout for the family about 7:15 last night and was greeted by Elsa curbside who couldn't have been nicer. She informed me that they were out of ribs (kinda disappointing), but apologized and replaced it with Tri-tip. She also tossed in some free carrot cake for us! The process was smooth and unlike my visits to many (most?) other places, everything was clean and I felt very safe. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I did want to recognize Elsa and the Stonefire team for a job well done and to thank them for feeding my family some delicious food on Mother's Day. My daughter's Prom was canceled due to this crisis so I wanted to plan a "Quarantine Prom" for her at home and have everyone dress up and order her favorite food from the restaurant she celebrates her birthday at every year. I ordered our food and did the curbside pick-up for the Chatsworth location which is a 32 mile round trip. When I get home I see that I'm missing a meal... Naturally I was upset because I wanted everything to be perfect for her since her prom would have been that day. I contacted Stonefire grill and spoke to a young lady who was extremely understanding and they informed me they didn't have any drivers to do a drop off so they refunded me for my entire order and also sent me a $40 gift card. I just wanted to thank them for helping me out during this horrible situation. As a High school Senior parent its been a struggle to keep my daughter positive that her most memorable moments of her Senior year have been canceled so having a Quarantine Prom and making her the Quarantine Queen along with having her favorite meal there might not have been the Prom she wanted but I know it was a Prom she appreciated. Every time I go back to Stonefire I beg myself to remember that I don't like it as much as I think I do. - PRICE - The food is completely overpriced considering they don't offer table service. The do offer generous portions, but at those prices, I should not be fighting my way to the iced tea dispenser and picking through flatware for a clean knife. - SUGGESTED TIPPING- I wouldn't have a problem with them not offering table service if they didn't print a spot to write in a tip on my receipt every time I pay BEFORE I have eaten. They have a little message next to the cash register explaining why we as customers should or shouldn't tip. Even as a former server, tipping is for excellent service. I can hardly justify a tip in a 20 second face to face interaction with a 16 year old. Let tipping be for excellent service. I went last night and the service was excellent. I tipped at the end of the meal. - NUTRITIONAL INFO- The other reasons I listed for not loving Stonefire are not deal breakers. The reason we don't eat here more often is because they don't provide nutritional information. I would rather go to Habit across the way, and know the calories and fat of what I am eating, than try to guess how much junk is in my food. I think it is a consumer's right to know. Everyone else is stepping up to the plate and doing it. Come on. Clearly this is a huge complaint from your customers. Overall, the food is good. The tri tip is better at Outdoor Grill (and cheaper). People in the valley tend to value portion size over quality, so this place seems to fit the bill. I'll be over at Habit next time I see a movie. read more
