Redfish and shrimp
Trish M.

We had such a wonderful experience at Stoney River Steakhouse! After a completely botched reservation at another restaurant, we decided to drop in here on a busy Saturday night. Even though sitting at the bar wasn't our first choice, we were grateful to be seated immediately--with zero wait! The service was fantastic from start to finish. Nick and I began by sharing the house salad with vinaigrette, and it was easily enough for two. I ordered the Bistro Chicken entrée, which came with two perfectly cooked pieces of chicken, lots of steamed broccoli, and whipped potatoes. Everything was incredible--and I especially appreciated the capers! Nick ordered the redfish and shrimp special, served with rice and green beans, and he absolutely loved it. We both had generous portions and couldn't even finish everything. It was a delightful, unexpected meal, and we're already talking about going back. Highly recommend!

The biggest chop I have ever seen!

Service is always spot on! The dark cherry glaze for the biggest chop I have ever seen was a great choice. Asparagus tender and tasty.

Deviled eggs with candied bacon. Delicious!

Dinner close to downtown Nashville. Stoney River is a great place! Food was amazing. This place is a little pricy, but the portion sizes are worth it. If you like appetizers get the smoked deviled eggs. They are delicious! I also must say the service was impeccable. Our waitress was friendly and on top of drinks and leaning the table. She was very good! All the food delivered to expectations! We had eaten at Stoney River before, just not at this location. We loved the lighting and the feel of the restaurant. Good end to the Holiday weekend! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Steak was done perfect and the drinks were strong and tasty. I didn't care for the Brussels too much, but the steak egg rolls are wonderful. The carrot cake was the star of the show! It was huge and delicious, I just wish it wasn't put on its side, instead of upright, it would have been a better presentation. Anyhow, it was great! Service was great at first but then she kinda disappeared for a long time. The ambiance was very nice except for being seated by a loud kitchen. All and all, we will definitely be back soon!

Stoney River is a dependable chain steak house that i love to stop in from time to time. I enjoy sitting at their comfortable bar during happy hour (M - F 5-7 pm). This is the one place I'll order steak out because it's typically prepared well and at the temp of my choice. Great place if you're craving steak or looking for another happy hour spot. There's free parking in the lot & on the street. Love: steak salad (deviled eggs, candy bacon, herb vinaigrette add ranch - thank me later!), bread (addicting - bet you can't eat just one) Like: service (fine enough)

I want to be super clear. I actually give the benefit to restaurants, because I can appreciate how hard they are to staff, and the exploding food costs. In addition to that, I was with customers, so I expensed this particular meal. Meaning, I don't take it personally about "value or price". Also, even with subpar/okay service, I still tipped 20%. That said, this place missed the mark across the board. Customers ordered New York Strips and Ribeyes. None of our meals, were delivered to the right person. Meaning, we all had to swap plates across the table. It was just odd/not very polished at this price point, The three of their steaks were cooked okay, but seemed to be pretty fatty cuts of meat. Then to my prime rib. I've never had, or seen a fattier cut of meat. I'm not exaggerating when I say 75-85% fat. In addition, once meals arrived, customer asked for wine list. Then selected a glass of wine with dinner. Wine never showed up. Here is where it gets interesting. There was so much fat on the plate, it looked like I barely ate. (How that awful piece made it out of the kitchen, blows my mind). Again, I didn't say anything, as I was with customers. The Manager comes by the table, and asks "how was everything". I didn't say anything, but my customer says "look at that guys plate, and how fatty that cut of meat was. Manager says something to the effect of "is there anything I can do" and again, because I have customers there, say "no, you can just take my plate". Which looked like the entire piece of prime rib was still sitting there, but it was all fat. We order some deserts to go and I get the check. The Manager could have stepped up and covered a drink, or a dessert, but instead, saw the train wreck of the Wal Mart/Texas Road House quality prime rib as he took my plate away, and chose to do nothing. Granted, I said I was fine, but he clearly saw the poor quality that came out of the kitchen firsthand, and could have made it right: I'd expect that behavior/lack of customer service at a fast food joint. I entertain my customers on a regular basis, and this price point is on pare with other steak houses in town, that deliver a MUCH better service and food quality experience. Service, would have drastically helped cover some of the feedback in the terrible quality of product served. Big miss from the wait staff, right up to the Manager. Do better

The ambiance is so nice. The food was amazing. The hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Her smile was welcoming as well.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! Service was fantastic, food was delicious. This is a definite do again!!

Stoney River has my favorite steak in Nashville! I'm a big fan of steak, so I'm always looking for great places. I absolutely love the Coffee-Cured Filet Mignon. I always get it cooked medium, and it's cooked perfectly each time. Pairing that with the béarnaise sauce tastes amazing to me. We also got their Mac n cheese which is also one of my favorite steakhouse side dishes in Nashville. It's oozing with cheese and so tasty. You can't go wrong with Parmesan truffle fries. Their chocolate cake is also to die for. It is moist, rich, and decadent. Our waitress was also very nice and friendly, and we bonded over our love of the NHL! I will say even if you have a reservation, it seems as though they made you wait just a few minutes before they seat you.

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But the best thing is their pork chop !!! This is a must get. Thank me later. We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits. Here again, both are highly recommended. While it is one of your more expensive area stops for dinner, you will appreciate the food quality and presentation at Gannons Nashville for your next special occasion. As we settled in with the menu our questions were answered. The pretzel appetizer took a rather long time. Apparently the original portion was burned and was remade. Our main meal arrived and I ordered a brown ale. I nearly finished my burger before the ale arrived "The bar was backed up". Our meals were hot and freshly made from the kitchen. The Jasper Burger was juicy and the bleu cheese was slightly brown and went well with the patty. I was able to swap the American cheese out for the blue. My bang bang Brussels were excellent with the right amount of spiciness. Chicken sandwich and wedge fries looked delicious as did all the food. All in all the food was very good and the service was accurate if a bit slow. Tips: Parking in the lot is validated. Head on in and scan the QR code at the host station for three hours of free parking. It appears that even though they don't offer alternative cheeses on the menu if you ask you can get any cheese they have for the other dishes. Be sure to review your check. We were there on Wednesday evening but the burgers were billed at full price. Not the end of the world however good servers should know the specials.

We were placed in the lower-level dining area, which we didn't mind at all--it had a great atmosphere with a live band performing until 10 PM. For food, we ordered the seafood tower (The Big Eddie), crab fried rice, and Chilean sea bass. Everything was outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. For drinks, we had the Hope Diamond and a tequila soda. The Hope Diamond was especially good, and our server even shared the ingredients so we could recreate it at home. As their name implies, their seafood is fantastic, probably the best in the entire city! They have a policy that every seafood served at Eddie V's was alive in the ocean less than 36 hours prior! Anything left over is donated, which is impressive! And you can taste its incredible freshness throughout the meal! There are only 30 locations of Eddie V's in 15 states, but the quality is hardly reminiscent of chain restaurant food. It's truly exquisite! And we have very high standard having dined at Michelin-starred eateries all over the world. The scallops, lobster, and lobster bisque are easily the best in Nashville, and we've dined at every high-class restaurant Music City has to offer! The butter poached lobster mashed potatoes are incredible, extra creamy topped with buttery lobster and a beurre blanc sauce. The truffle mac is equally stupendous, with a three-cheese blend, truffle oil, and thinly shaved truffles imported from France! While most upscale restaurants tend to make a very strong truffle mac that has overpowering flavors, the chef at Eddie V's manages to make this, and all dishes, subtle and flavorful without overdoing it. Just as amazing as the seafood are the steaks. Since they had a Japanese A5 Wagyu in the building at $40 an ounce, something they don't have every night, I took advantage of that! As expected, the highest grade of Japanese beef did not disappoint, and the chef prepared it to perfection. That impossibly tender steak seasoned beautifully just meted in my mouth, probably the second best steak I've eaten in Nashville! The ponzu sauce, one of three that accompanied the steak, was delicious. The Korean inspired gochujang was also good, but maybe not perfect for this style of steak. But the wasabi paste was the winner, a perfect compliment to the beef without being very spicy, just wonderfully flavorful. Like all dishes here, they've impeccably balanced flavor with subtly! The desserts aren't bad either, but they pale in comparison to the beef, seafood, and side dishes!
