My family visits StripSteak every time we come to Vegas and it just gets worse and worse. This steakhouse is hanging by a thread and it's only gotten worse after the Mandalay Bay shooting tragedy and Covid. Now, I fear it is the service that will rid itself of all its remaining customers. Instead of bread, they start you off with fries and 3 house sauces, which is probably of the highlight of the night! We ordered - salad - foie gras - lobster roll - 2 filet mignons - scallops - king crab legs - asian fried rice - asparagus The meats are pretty good quality but the seafood was deeply concerning. The lobster roll tasted rubbery and the crab legs were lukewarm and such a measly portion for being the special of the night. It was $90 for 2 limp legs. The foie gras was so thinly cut and the accompanying bread was soggy and sickeningly sweet. Our bill came out to around $600 and when there was a computer error in charging our bill to the room, the manager made it a huge deal and treated us like thieves. We asked if one of us could leave to figure out the room number problem with the check in people in the lobby and she refused and said none of us could move from the table until we paid. She was rolling her eyes and expressed explicit annoyance that we wanted to charge to the room which is completely our right as MGM patrons and guests. We practically had to beg her to let one of us go figure it out, which is absolutely ridiculous since it wasn't our fault that our check in hadn't processed yet. Our server was sweet but the manager ruined the entire experience and is an absolute disgrace to the establishment. read more

This is a very EXPENSIVE high-end restaurant! The staff and service were great to say the least. As a grill Snob, I would expect not to have "grease" as a flavor profile for the 20 oz steak I ordered. I walked over to the window to look into the kitchen as saw a greasy grill. Add the crabcake for an appetizer, we split the wedge salad was very good. I ordered the pork belly appetizer for my dinner. My husband got the bone in rib steak.. It was difficult to eat the pork belly in the dish that they served it in. It was very good. It's a little rich and taste. Maybe some pickled vegetables would be good with it. The rib steak was good. Had a nice fried butter and seasoning on top was tender and cooked properly medium rare, for dessert we had the chocolate silk pudding with hazelnuts also was very good when you go into a steakhouse in Las Vegas be prepared to spend $100 or more for your dinner. Not impressed. Crab cake was terrible. A small scoop of crab mixed in seasoned mayonnaise. Did Not even taste like crab. Sea bass was okay. Smallish portion with a tiny bit of bok choy and mushroo. That was pretty delicious. I was here for a private dinner in the back room. I had the New York strip with mash potatoes and broccolini. We had a seafood platter for appetizers. Everything was really good. The steak's temperature was perfect and even throughout and it had great flavor and char. The veggies were perfectly executed, not too tender. Our favorite steak house in the city. Low key upstairs in Planet Hollywood, 1950s vibe, low red lighting and decor and black white photos on the walls. Always good steak with dry aged beef and other cuts. Great mushroom sides. If you get juan as your waiter, he's a holiday in shoes. Shyla is a very nice manager and made friends. Visited during the weekend of 4th of July 2025, on a Saturday night. We made reservations via online for 5PM. The wait was not too long and the staff were friendly and very attending. As it was our anniversary, the staff gave us complimentary 3 seasons of fries and asked if we had any events after our dinner to accommodate our time which was super respectful and thoughtful. This is seriously going to be my birthday spot. Husband always asks me where I'd wanna go for my bday dinner and this is going to be my answer. Not only was the service great. Shoutout to Tiance for just being super cheerful and helpful with the menu, but the food was just amazing. What really got me was everything truffle. You know how there's truffle in the menu items but the restaurants try to skimp out on the truffle. Well not this place. The truffle butter for the steak and the truffled creamed spinach are to die for. Literally if you love truffle this place fills those menu items with truffle. The ribeye was perfectly cooked. And I love how a roasted garlic comes with each steak. The mushrooms were spectacular. Also don't forget the steaks are made with a pepper crust so if you aren't into that you can get it a little lighter. Like Tiance says "this is a safe space." LOL.... Also, I saw they had a truffle martini but I had to refrain from getting it since it was a tequila night and momma can't mix her drinks like when she was 20. When eating at an expensive restaurant at Mandalay named Stripsteak I expect to eat premium cuts of meat. A premium cut of Cowboy Ribeye, our go-to, is usually 1 1/2-2" thick. The one we received was 3/4" thick (yes, i measured) and dense. This same thing happened when we ate there two years ago. I didnt mention it then. Really wanting a great steak i had to try it again. This place is legit. Wanted to try a new steakhouse that we haven't been to before. We were staying at the Mandalay Bay and didn't wanna go far so we decided just to go here. We made a reservation and we were seated promptly. Our waitress and person helping her were super friendly and nice and a very attentive. We decided to split the prime rib, which if you're hesitant about the duck fat. You don't taste duck at all it's just deliciousness. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and perfectly seasoned. I could've licked the bowl. My friend tried the duck fried rice and she said it was the most amazing rice she ever had. She noted that they used five spice seasoning in it. I am not a steak house connoisseur, so I can't really say if this steak tastes really well compared to others. Best I can do is describe it; The steak was very juicy and tender... thats about it I grew up eating steak with A1 sauce, so it is hard to say if eating this plain steak is better than most . I will come back and edit this review if I ever think nothing will top this. Quality- ^. I have to mention that the mashed potatoes here were really well made. I don't think I have had as soft mashed potatoes as theirs until I arrived here. For what its worth, not sure if a $89 rib eye steak with no taste had much bang for your buck. But again, I am not a reputable steak connoisseur. Quantity- i have to say maybe 70% of the rib eye given was meat and the other 30% was the bone and fat. I did enjoy the ketchup and what ever aioli sauce that was spicy. But I'd have liked them better with my meal. I had a filet. It was large and expensive. It was good. We had breakfast around 8AM so we were hungry and knew what we wanted to order. We ordered the following: the double cut bacon, Maine lobster toast, ribeye, filet, baked potato, and the black truffle mac and cheese. The restaurant opened promptly at 5PM. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server (forgot her name) was swift, detailed, and energetic. The restaurant was empty when we were first seated, but it soon filled up. She was amazing and took care of us and her tables w/o having anyone wait. The rest of the FOH staff were fantastic, too. We enjoyed everything but the Maine lobster toast. The toast was a bit overcooked; like burnt toast in a way but other than that everything we ordered was delicious. My filet came out rare as requested... it was juicy! The baked potato and the mac and cheese were creamy, filling, comforting, and so good! Oh, I forgot about the double-cut bacon. It was like you did not have to even chew it! So tender. Fantastic meal from start to finish!! We have been to StripSteak a few times in the past and it has been a while so we gave it another go. It was a great decision to come back for their tried and true steaks. Ambiance is upscale, lively and a bit loud. It's a very big restaurant but there is intimacy in the table settings. Service is attentive and very professional. We placed our orders for 20 oz. Cowboy Ribeye ($89), 8 oz. American Wagyu Ribcap ($121) with half lobster side ($47), Shiro-Dashi Atlantic King salmon ($49), Miso-glazed seabass ($56). Our starters and sides were roasted mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, black truffle mac and cheese, cornbread and crab cakes. For dessert we had chocolate molten cake, beignet trio and spiced pear mascarpone. Everything was delicious although some were more delicious than others. The best meat was Wagyu ribcap; so tender and flavorful. Next time, I could skip the lobster add-on. It was good but I would try their grilled prawns instead. Their sides are all so good but my favorite is the fried Brussels sprouts. I just love the soy-lime caramel taste with those Brussels sprouts!! Desserts were really good; best one was the beignet trio that came with three types of creams. I did not taste the chocolate molten cake but I heard it was good. STRIPSTEAK is still a solid spot, but I have to admit. I left a bit underwhelmed. It's a nice steakhouse, no doubt, and the service and atmosphere were on point. But I remember it being a notch above before COVID, and this visit didn't quite live up to that memory. My steak was good, and the appetizers hit the mark, but nothing really blew me away. Oddly enough, the best thing on the table was the fries--which were excellent, but not exactly what you hope steals the show at a high-end steakhouse. The other couple we dined with shared the cowboy ribeye steak and the sautéed spinach which my sister had me try because she was questioning what it was...? and I'm not kidding, we both agreed it tasted like canned spinach, no seasoning to make it taste good at all! We all shared a bottle of Pinot noir and when we were trying to decide which one to order the wine menu was hard to navigate so the sommelier came to help. Ya he helped alright! He talked us into a $104 bottle and we told him we didn't want to spend a lot. He did say there was a less expensive one but noooo! He tells us this one is much better etc... it was really good but honestly we would've been fine with the other! How did we allow ourselves to be talked into that is beyond me! This meal was $554!! We had to flag down bus boys for drink refills and condiments. $80 for a small fillet and $20 for a baked potato ! The steak was dry so I asked for some hollendais sauce and horse radish. They charged me $8 for the hollendais and $4 for the horse radish. Restaraunt was less than half full and clearly overstaffed. That said our server was a ghost. read more

Everything from the service to the food was amazing! The Crab cake had a generous amount of Crab and being from Maryland, you already know this warmed my heart. The thick cut bacon was delicious as well and very flavorful. The main dish was the duck fat prime rib which was absolutely out of this world. Perfectly prepared and melted in your mouth. Ahhhhh this meal brought me much joy. I'll absolutely be back whenever I'm in town. There is only one negative THEY DON'T HAVE THE LOBSTER POT PIE LIKE THE HAWAII LOCATION!!! One of my top 3 lifetime restaurant meals ever! Our server, Karen, was outstanding. She shared the "experience" menu which is a plethora of a flavor and texture adventure. I love eating tapas style to get a chance to enjoy options, and this one was simply wonderful. What a treat to experience so many items; I'm not sure I can pick a favorite, but the steak and dessert beignets with 3 incredible mini desserts as accompaniments stood out, but I did love everything. Went to StripSteak to catch up with a friend and felt the menu was satisfactory. We ordered 2 orders of the tasting menu for $145 each. While the food was good (not great, and I'll break down each dish), I was a bit disappointed with the portion size. Service was great and ambiance was upscale. Starting with the 4 starters. Truffle corn bread - Great. Truffle shavings and whipped butter made it a great starter with complex flavors Wagyu tartare - Great. Solid temperature and texture. Potato crisp worked well Hamachi nori taco - Good. Only complaint was the Hamachi was room temperature upon arriving. Bacon - Good. Was almost like sweet soy, honey glazed braised pork belly. Sea-Bass - Okay. Not a strong miso taste. Fairly light Strip steak w foie gras - Good, only because we got two small pieces. I had more foie gras than steak. Both sides - Okay. I personally felt this is something I could've easily made at home. Primarily savory and I wanted more balance from these dishes. Beignets - Good. I just wished we each could have gotten 1 more beignet and our own sides (butterscotch, crème brûlée, and chocolate). Felt a bit hard to share those, especially when they were already small. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but for the price and for the food, I would order something from their non-set menu.
