Putting in work w the 2019 Subaru Forester
    Patrick F.

Great music at today's Subaru Pacific Third Thursday event - always enjoy coming here with the family to see the latest models and say hi to the friendly staff.

    Contract never sent not truthful

I strongly encourage anyone considering doing business with Subaru Pacific to proceed with extreme caution, especially when dealing with Wendy Diep. My experience with this dealership was one of the most frustrating and disappointing vehicle purchases I have ever had. At signing, I was told by Wendy that $1,000 would be reflected in my account. After leaving the dealership, I discovered the contract I was promised by email was nowhere to be found. When I finally obtained a copy, the $1,000 that had been discussed was missing from the agreement. I immediately attempted to resolve the issue with the General Manager, Sales Manager, and another Finance Manager. Rather than address the problem, I was repeatedly told to come back another day. When I returned and asked Wendy to correct the issue, she appeared upset that she had to contact the leasing company to cancel and revise the contract because the $1,000 was not included. The situation became even more concerning when I requested cancellation of warranties that had been added to my deal. Wendy initially told me that canceling them was not possible and claimed she would have to increase the vehicle price because dealerships "cannot discount cars." Later, after I continued pressing the issue and providing documentation, those same warranties were suddenly canceled. I have emails and evidence showing the complete contradiction between "it cannot be done" and "your warranties have been canceled." The lack of transparency and inconsistent information continued throughout the cancellation process. I repeatedly requested updates and was first told refunds could take up to 60 days. Later, I was told the process could take up to 90 days. Every interaction felt like a moving target with different answers depending on who I spoke with. The poor customer experience extended beyond the financing issues. My vehicle was not charged when I took delivery. I was told by Chris Axume to install my own license plates because he does not do it. I also watched other customers receive first-time Subaru buyer merchandise coupons and vehicle orientation sessions explaining features and benefits of their new vehicles. I received none of that. When I raised concerns, the response was essentially to come back for a car wash. I escalated my concerns to dealership management, including Manny Alba, as well as supervisors at LAcarGUY, and have yet to receive a meaningful response. Based on my experience, this dealership appears far more interested in closing deals than providing honest customer service after the paperwork is signed. If you decide to purchase a vehicle here, review every document carefully, verify every promise in writing, and do not accept verbal assurances. Ask questions, keep copies of everything, and double-check any products or warranties added to your contract. I have documentation supporting my concerns and wanted to share my experience so other customers can make an informed decision before doing business with this dealership Please see below proof for evidence and I too would consider to relook at your contract if you had made a deal with dealership, especially with Wendy Diep. I reiterate, I have communicated my concerns to all MANAGEMENT and there has been no actions taken. Ultimately, this does reflect badly on the owner of this dealer for letting this happen under their own nose and would assume they are in this together. 1. Missing $1000 2. Proof of the Revised Contract after being caught not including the $1000 3. Fake promotional tags when the dealership changes their mind in finance. 4. Proof she does not take accountability 5. Very dismissive and no communication etiquette for paying customers after closing a deal. 6. No communication from upper management despite my contacts

I am.so grateful for Subaru Pacific!! Anthony in sales, Sammy in financing and Brandon in Service were amazing throughout my car buying process! My car was stolen and totaled a few days before Thanksgiving and I was devastated, I work for a nonprofit and needed a vehicle to continue working. Sammy went above and beyond to get me into a suitable affordable vehicle for my needs. Once the car was purchased Brandon and the service department assisted in making sure it was in pristine condition! From the moment I called and spoke with Anthony until the day I drove off the lot I was met with friendly, HONEST, excellent service! Thanks Subaru Pacific, you have a loyal customer for life

the zip tied i cut off that was holding the back end of the splash shield.

I was going there for years and the last couple services have been ridiculous and dishonest. There "diagnostic" is lack luster, they don't investigate, they just pick the most expensive thing to do and say thats the problem. I no lonfer recommend my fellow subaru owners to take it here. I had my headgasket replaced and then when I kept smelling burning oil i took it back and they said it was the headgasket again and I told them you guys replaced this last year, mind you my car was sitting there for over a month, and of course they say well you just missed the warranty parts deadline by a week or two. So I asked them to look again and see if its coming from the OCV plug and they just went with, yeah its that plug like you said. I got it back and drove it but again still had burning oil. So I decided to go under to investigate and found they broke the OCV plug and zip tied it and then they broke my splash shield screw head off and the screw was stuck in there so they zipped tied the splash shield. I spent well over $12k there to keep my car running properly since they don't make the STI anymore. Makes me wonder if they did any work at all if I am catching this dishonest lackluster of a repair.

This gentleman is amazing! The Subaru dealer is awesome!

I like to give recognition where recognition is do! I've owned a number of cars... Normally I do not get keys from the dealer! Dealer keys are very expensive! My wife has a Subaru! There was a guy who has worked for me for years programming keys! With our Subaru he totally messed it up! Not only was a red light with a key flashing somehow this guy drained our battery so we'd have to jump start the car with a battery box everyday! Normally the mechanics that I have are better than factory mechanics! No one could solve the issue these guys charged me $250 and it was the best experience ever! They fixed my wife's Subaru outback! I was seriously considering selling it! I thought it was going to cost a lot.... Only $250! I highly recommend them if you have a Subaru!

Should I pay $465 for a hitch and $700 for installation at Subaru Pacific or got to Uhaul for $390 total?

I am very detailed and picky and I have honestly never seen a perfect ppf job; regardless of the shop or material. I have seen some fantastic jobs, but you can always find a defect. That said, ppf installation is hard, very hard and takes a ton of patience. I have talked to a number of people that attempted their own ppf installation (product supplied from different companies) and many of them ended the project with the material in a ball in the garbage can. In my 10 years of experience buying only from Invisible Mask, their product has only gotten better and better. Have some of the kits fit better than others, yes. Was any fit ever terrible, no. Did I have issues with some installs because they were difficult and I lacked experience, yes. However, especially in the recent years, the kits I have purchased have fit amazingly. I recently bought an Invisible Mask kit for my '25 CR-V which included the partial hood and fenders, and bumper. The bumper of a '25 CR-V is quite complex and the install was difficult, but the fit of the kit was amazing! My most recent Invisible Mask kit was for an F150 I just purchased. This truck has a chrome bumper that I did not consider needing ppf. I wanted to buy the partial hood/fender kit, but I only wanted to buy one piece of the bumper kit. I left a message on the Invisible Mask site and also a voicemail message requesting to buy a custom kit. It did take a few weeks for Invisible Mask to get back to me; however, I talked to Kristen and she was super helpful, gave me a price on the custom kit, and sent it out that day! I got the kit a few days later. I have always used the 3M ppf offered by Invisible Mask and felt it was a very good, not fantastic product; but the price point was right. For my last purchase for the F150 I neglected to tell Kristen which material I wanted and she sent me ArmorWrap Ultra. OMG, I didn't know what I was missing! Although the 3M product is very good, the ArmorWrap is much better (it also has a lifetime warranty). Do you still have to pull and stretch the material and is it a bear to apply; yup! But in the end, it looks even better than the 3M and I think you get much better adhesion on the edges. BTW, the fit of this F150 kit was again, perfect! This is all just my two cents. I read an article about ppf application a while ago from a person that was a full-time installer. He said that until you have completed 100's of ppf installations, you won't be good at it. That, and all of the installs I have seen that have some type of flaw, put things in perspective for me. I, personally, have had very good experience with Invisible Mask and will certainly continue to buy my ppf kits only from them. Lastly, I did have one experience with another pre-cut ppf company. I was doing my nephew's M2 and although I had recommended he buy the ppf kit from Invisible Mask, he bought it somewhere else (sorry, I don't know the company). The front of an M2 is hard enough to apply ppf as it is, but this kit was absolutely horrible!

Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart from the competition. My relationship began with Wilson (owner) when I dropped off a Toyota Cressida 3.0L6 DOHC 16V Engine for a complete engine rebuild. He completed the engine in short order. So I picked it up and reinstalled it into my customer's car. After making routine adjustments and road testing, the engine ran perfectly. However, I did detect a very faint metallic sound emitting from the engine. Thinking it might be a lifter that might possibly quieten down after the engine was broken in. I shared my thoughts with my customer and suggested that they drive the car 500 mile, then return it to me. At that point, I would change the oil and reassess the health of the engine. 529 miles later, my customer returned the car to me, and the noise was still there. In fact, it had gotten worse. I alerted Wilson and he instructed me to bring the car back to him so he could check it out. I left the car at his shop, but he could not readily detect the source of the noise. So, he ultimately removed the engine from the car, totally dismantled it, inspecting and measuring all the internal components. Still, he found nothing out of specs. Obviously puzzled, and determined, he decided to start all over again, from scratch. The Toyota 3.0L DOHC 16V Engine is obsolete and hard to find. But after an extensive search for another "Rebuildable" Engine Block and Head, Wilson eventually found the cores that he needed to complete the project. He finally finished second the engine rebuild and reinstalled it a few weeks ago. When I went to pick the car up, he handed me an invoice with "UNDER WARRANTY" written across the page. He did not charge one additional dime for the nightmare in which he endured with this vehicle. Wilson is a class act! Not only is he honest, but he also has integrity - old school integrity! S. My husband, who looks Caucasian but is of Hispanic descent, felt completely disrespected and demeaned. When he asked to speak with a manager, Angel claimed there was no manager on duty. My husband returned home upset, and I personally called the store. Angel again stated there was no manager available and mentioned he was just "filling in" from another location, Store #3066 on Normandie off the 110 freeway. I explained what happened and how poorly Angel treated a U.S. Army Veteran, but Eddie had little to say.
