Love this place. Just a little on the pricey side. The bread here is always fresh. Not sure what they do differently to their bread but it is seriously fresh on another level. I come here about 2-3 times per week and order the same exact thing. I used to always get the turkey sandwich fully loaded but Now that I've been on this vegetarian streak, I've been getting the foot-long veggie sandwich on white bread and trust me it has not disappointed. It taste so fresh and good it feels like I'm eating meat. I feel healthy when eating here. I would give submarina a 5 star rating due to the quality of the food and taste but because I feel their prices for a foot-long ($11) not including chips and drink they will only be getting a 4. I guess if I was broke I would go down the street and get that ($5) subway sandwich. But that sounds dreadful all the way across the board. I like the owner and staff and the food is decent. But if Subway is a 2 and Jersey Mikes, Benny's, and Rock and Jenny's are 5's then their food rates 3-3.5 stars. That's not to be a put down but it's just that their taste does not measure up. If there is an edge that they have it's that they have a good Smart Card discount if you have one (I recommend getting one if you don't have one). My wife likes their Peppered Fiesta on rye a lot, but for me I can never envision choosing them over JM's which is across the street. read more

First time here. The philly cheese steak looked good on the menu so ordered that. Oops, The guy behind the counter says "we are out of onions and peppers" and suggested the hot pastrami, so that's what I order. To go. Get home about 2 minutes later and open up a barely lukewarm sandwich. bread was def not fresh, dried out oldish pastrami. 2 star at best today, mid afternoon on a Tuesday. I'll chalk it up to a down day and will give it one more chance before I say won't be back. I enjoy the different bread, cheese, and meat options they have since there are few I like that are not available at their competitor. I agree with others about the customer service. It is really inconsistent. There are times we go in and service is great and there are times when it is not so great. I think it really depends on who is working behind the counter. The dining and drink station areas are kept clean and organized. I have not seen any issues with cleanliness at this location. Every time I go in, I make sure to bring one of the coupons they have available in the weekly/ monthly mailers. Using the coupons really helps make the price point more competitive when getting a combo meal (sandwich, chips, and drink) - especially when feeding a family. Overall, I would not hesitate coming back to this location when I am craving a sandwich. read more

This location is close to my house. I've been here several times and have never had one single negative experience. I usually use their coupons, 6.99 for a six inch sub, premium subs included, with a regular soft drink and a bag of chips, the only drawback is you can't use your customer loyalty card towards a free sub. Good sandwiches, not so good service. The staff usually has a pretty bad attitude. If you go in an hour before closing they seem upset because they have already started cleaning. You should not try to make your customer feel guilty. I've been here several times because I like the sandwiches, but I have to say about 70% of the time I've felt an attitude from the staff. I come to this Submarina all the time because I work in the shopping center. Their lack of customer service and happy faces has always been an issue since some of the nicer associates who used to be here left. When I came in today I wasn't really greeted, just asked what I wanted. Told the girl what I wanted, (she is tall, skinny, long blond hair and she looks extremely young), then a young man stood by the cash register and said "what side do you want?" He literally looked like someone pooped in his wheates... He looked like he was not having a good day... A hello and a smile would have been nice. Needless to say, the customer service aside, I go to the restroom for a moment to wash my hands which I do every time I come here... And typically my sandwich is done being toasted by the time I get out. Well I come back to the counter and the girl is making herself a sandwich... She tells me that mine is almost done toasting. When she gets it out I can tell it's a little crispy... But I didn't see the bottom until I started eating it. Literally all I tasted the entire sandwich was burnt.... It was terrible... And all because she didn't take it out of the toaster soon enough Because she was too consumed with making herself her own sandwich. What a pity submarina....
