I did not want to leave it on YELP, so I went to your website, found the link to send an email to and did so with all the background information. The email was addressed to a woman, perhaps an owner. I don't recall the name and I can't access the website now. I responded in a timely manner last week but NO response yet. Recall that my review had to do with poor communication on the part of your restaurant. Thank you I just received a phone call from the owner and we had a very good conversation. I would like to remind any readers that my review of Sugo was related only to their carry out service. Sugo has always been a favorite, with great dining in experience. This is the amazing Italian food that I've been looking for! Our table ordered a variety dishes and everybody loved what they ordered. The service was incredible. The atmosphere was both romantic and modern. Sodas are by the bottle, and prices are around $20 to $30 per plate. read more

This is now one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Service was beyond great. We made reservations so we were greeted by the hostesses and seated immediately. The teamwork was impeccable and everyone was in sync. We started with what was equivalent to a house salad as well as their meat/cheese board. Both, perfect. For our entrees, he got the scallops and I had the tagliatelle. He ate everything and I took my left overs because I'll most likely finish my dish tomorrow. Both dishes had just enough seasoning and the presentation was nice. For desert, the bourbon bread pudding. We almost licked the bowl clean. All in all, I can't wait for our next visit to try other things on their menu! read more

Was visiting during a work trip and saw the great reviews on yelp and I couldn't agree more! I came with a friend and we made a reservation ahead of time for around 745 PM on a Wednesday and it wasn't very crowded at that time. The restaurant is in a strip mall kind of. But don't let that fool you - the atmosphere inside is amazing! The decor is beautiful and detailed, lights are dim. We sat in the bar area which was very nice! There were small to large tables, and some tables had the shared bench/couch seating, and some high tops even. Our server was so friendly and helpful. She explained the menu and gave great recommendations for both drink and food. There are daily chef Specials too. The owner or manager even came around and checked on us and also gave recommendations- we HAD to try the meatball- they sold us! It's about the size of a baseball and comes with a red sauce. It was recognized on the food network- and well Deserved! I would say it's the perfect size for 2 to share. I also ordered the kale salad and my friend ordered the Caesar salad- they were bigger than expected! I had leftovers! The pics that people have posted have been deceiving. Nice venue with a pleasant vibe. However the food is subpar. Aunt Lena's chicken dish w pasta had a mushy soggy coating that I scraped off. The pasta underneath was flavorless. I ordered siracha to give it some flavor. My date ordered scampi which had huge thick fettuccine noodles instead of angel hair pasta which made it odd. Make a reservation no matter what, just to ensure you get a table because it is the best meal in town and there are a lot of people out here with impeccable taste who long for the amazing in town dining options. We love Sugo! Have been here over 20 times in the last 2-3 years. I have brought friends and family here for dinners and special occasions. We even celebrated part of our wedding weekend here with a family dinner. The staff is warm and welcoming. The owner and his wife visit every table and ensure you have a wonderful experience. Food is amazingly delicious as well. We always have flatbread so thin and crispy. The meatball is not to be missed! They even have a cooking class for meatball making! My husband took me here for Valentine's Day and while the food was good we were seated one hour after our RESERVATION time. It was one of the busiest restaurant nights of the year--I chalked up the inadequate service and planning to maybe a bad night with a lot of variables outside the control of the staff/management. We returned to get takeout service for Mother's Day dinner. Covid times, pre-fixe meals, pre-ordered quantities . ..should be no problem, right? Completely wrong! We waited longer for our food than we did at Valentine's Day. The manager at this restaurant needs to stop overbooking and over promising. If you can't handle the volume, simply don't book it. Ordered food for curbside pickup yesterday. It was a seamless and simple process. The website makes ordering and checking out, very easy. And there is a place on the checkout form for notes, to customize your pickup options. We ordered a meatball sandwich and spaghetti. I understand the sub is a new menu item. It was fresh and tasty and the roasted reds add a great flavor. The spaghetti was thin, as I like it, and really good. They also provided good bread and containers of oil and grated cheese. My family had a terrible Christmas Eve here. We made reservations weeks in advance. We showed up 15 minutes early to find that they were grossly overbooked. Diners were allowed in in front of us with no reservations repeatedly. The manager was a terrible buffoon who had the charm of a mud puddle. He should really find another line of work. After an hour, we left and went to Golden Corral to try to salvage the holiday. All my family, friends, clients, and employees agree Sugo is a dumpster fire. read more

We used to love this place. Over the years food has become mediocre and prices have gone up. Recently we went there for a dinner with a large group. They were pretty good accommodating a group of 16. My husband's drink 'Painkiller' was really good. Our appetizer was Spanish Octopus and was super yum. Me and my husband ordered two different pastas - his was Oriecchiette and mine Shrimp Scampi. Both tasted the same except the meat was different. Tiramisu was pretty good. Overall expensive experience for a mediocre food. read more

Sugo is always a great choice when in Johns Creek. There are two things that keep me coming back: The bacon wrapped dates, and the famous sugo meatballs. I really can't explain how good they are. Service is always perfect, with a friendly wait staff. We most recently dined here for Christmas Eve, and the Filet Mignon special was cooked to perfection. The owner (Mr. C) is always walking around and checking on tables. The only time we ever had a minor hiccup (kitchen induced), Mr. C made it right.
