The shop was clean, had plenty of indoor seating, and there was ample parking in the lot. We ordered the Oreo bingsoo, which was easily enough to share between two people. I also love that they layer the toppings throughout the bingsoo, so every bite has a good balance of flavor instead of everything being just on top. Service was quick, and one thing I appreciate is how consistent the quality is across all of their locations. Definitely a reliable spot when you're craving bingsoo!
This was actually my second visit because I wanted to try more of their specialties. The first time, I had their Chocolate Bingsoo, and it was amazing. I'm honestly not a big fan of bingsoo, but this one changed my mind. The ice was so smooth and creamy, almost like ice cream. It wasn't overly sweet, but it kept you coming back for another bite. This time, I decided to try their Mango Special since it's one of their bestsellers. I love mangoes, but unfortunately this one was a bit too sour for my taste, so I didn't enjoy it as much as the chocolate version. I'd still come back though. The Chocolate Bingsoo is definitely my favorite, and I think I'll give the Watermelon Bingsoo a try next time.
Came here on a warm day. Their shaved ice and toppings are nice. The shaved ice consistency is ground fine like fresh snow. It's not the small pebbles of ice like snow cones nor the shaved ice slices of other Asian shaved ice spots (but very similar). The toppings here cover the shaved ice and you're able to get some in every bite until finished. The bowls are relatively large so you can definitely share between 2-3 people if needed.
On the way back from SD, my parents and I wanted a sweet treat, which is why we stopped by here!! The place was decently sized, with ample tables, but they were close to each other. Both bingsoos were delicious and refreshing. Mango Bingsoo: 4/5 only because the mango was quite sour, but the fluffy shaved ice and condensed milk really made it enjoyable Taro Bingsoo: 5/5 because I love the flavors of taro and toasted coconut together. This was bursting with flavor and the chewy mochi really hit the spot!! Overall, I loved the Bingsoo and will be back soon to try other flavors!
We decided to come here after a spa and it was the perfect treat. Light and fluffy. We tried the strawberry cheese and sweet corn. My mom and sister loved the strawberry cheese. My absolute favorite was the sweet corn and i'm drooling thinking about the next time i'll be able to have it again. The condensed milk on the side was not needed because the sweetness was just perfect. Not overwhelmingly sweet. There's plenty of seating inside and outside.
This is probably the best shaved ice I've had! They're generous with portion size and with the fruit they add on top. I ate sooo many strawberries! Employees were friendly and efficient! I genuinely think it's a talent to make food look so pretty. The space was clean and inviting. The location can be hard to get to during peak hours. Be prepared to fight for a parking spot if you're don't want to use the parking garage behind H Mart.
ive been to sul & beans a couple times bc of friends! I personally prefer shaved snow vs ice but its still good. I like the abundance of fresh mango but it sucks when you make your way towards the bottom bc it starts to lack flavor. the matcha one was pretty good tho and flavor was pretty complex throughout! service is pretty standard. you only really interact with staff to order. then they give you a pager and you put the trays away yourself when finished! its always busy when i visit. Its a pretty popular spot for dessert! people sit and hang out here. clean, minimalist design / seating here
Such a refreshing dessert shop! In the land of heavy ice creams and dense cheesecakes, bingsu is the perfect choice to satisfy that post-meal sweet tooth without you feeling like you're gonna burst or have a tummyache by the end. We ordered the Oreo with strawberries on the side and it hit the SPOT! Not overly sweet, but so good you want to keep having more and more. This spot is located in Diamond Jamboree, so it's perfect to stop by and grab after getting a nice dinner or before some late night karaoke. Service here is great as well and they get the bingsu out to you quickly with such picturesque presentation! Definitely coming back here after dinner the next time I'm in the area!!

Really excellent Korean shaved ice. Injeolmi is our go to bing su and the taiyaki filled with custard. Just delicious. Everything here just tastes exquisite. The toast & coffee are top notch!! read more
We tried this place last night after checking on Yelp for a good dessert place in Diamond Jamboree. Definitely a great choice. This is a Korean dessert place. Sul means snow in Korean. Their desserts are shaved ice based. Apparently some or all of them are also bean based, but I sure didn't taste any beans in the dish I ordered. This is definitely a dessert for at least two if not three. Ordered the chocolate Bingsoo. It was delicious and really hit the spot. Like most East Asian desserts, it wasn't too sweet either. Just perfect. The different layers also add to the taste and experience, Seating can be a bit tight during busier times. Just keep that in mind. They have plenty of choices too. read more
Every time I come to Sul & Beans, it never disappoints--and this time was no different. I ordered the mango bingsoo, which honestly is such a classic and a go-to for a reason. Can't go wrong with a classic bingsoo. What I especially like about this place is that they also put fruit in the middle so that it's not just an icy bottom. They also give you condensed milk on the side so that you can control the amount. I like putting it throughout eating it since all of it at the beginning makes it too soggy. Sometimes the fruits could be sweeter, but at least it's fresh! read more
Came here for a sweet & savory treat and tried the mango bingsoo and corn cheese toast. The corn cheese toast was delicious: melty, savory, and crispy in all the right ways. Unfortunately, the mango bingsoo was a letdown. The mangos weren't ripe at all. They were tart, hard, and lacking flavor, which was surprising given it's summer and peak mango season. The shaved ice and presentation were great, but it just didn't hit the mark without sweet, juicy fruit. Would come back for the toast, but I'd probably skip the fruit bingsoo unless I knew the fruit was fresh and in-season. read more
This is by far the best dessert I have ever had in my LIFE! It was not at all what I expected, when I was brought here and told it was shaved ice I thought the shaved ice would have the flavor but it turns out you mix the flavor in yourself, which makes it perfect for preference! It's such a cute spot and there's usually always someone getting up so you'll always have somewhere to sit! We got chocolate and mango, I have to say they're big portions, we just wanted to try both, I love chocolate flavored anything and this had brownie pieces that complemented it perfectly! I'm not a fruit dessert person but the mango Was phenomenal! 10/10 the mango was the perfect consistency and the perfect lever of sweet with the condensed milk on it and on the side, I will be back! I can't wait to show this place off to my family, I know they'll love it! read more

sooo good, the bingsoo here has perfect light refreshing flavors that aren't too sweet. We got the earl grey and the mango and both of them were delicious. The fruit on the mango was perfectly ripe and sweet. It was a hot day so it was pretty busy but we got our order pretty fast considering how many people there were. Lots of families, couples, and friend groups were sitting around enjoying their desserts. Could use more seating considering how busy they were when I went but we still managed to snag a table. read more
I love their Korean-Taiwanese fusion shaved snow. I got the strawberry flavor and my husband got the ube with toasted coconut flakes. The strawberry was refreshing and not overly sweet. I especially loved the tiny rice cake (injeolmi) toppings. The ube was also delicious. I'm not usually a fan of coconut flavors, but the combination with ube was excellent. I'm already craving it and want to go back again. The portions are very generous. The bowls may look small, but I couldn't even finish mine. Next time, we'll probably just share one. They did forget to include the red bean I ordered on the side, but when I brought it up, the staff immediately fixed it for us. I just wish they had more indoor seating, as the current layout is not very functional. They have an oversized food prep area and a large unused space near the order counter. We shared the with 4 people and it was perfect. My only disappointment was that they didn't have non dairy flavors. Service was quick and the ambience is clean. Cute elevated dessert spot. Not overly sweet. Great location as well. You can eat Kbbq, do an escape room and come here for dessert. #winninggggggggg read more

Delicious!! Soft, flavorful, nutty, a great cold dessert. Red bean and injeolmi pairs really well with the black sesame. The bingsoo comes with condensed milk on the side, but I liked the sweetness without it. Interior is sleek and clean with a wood/natural influence, although indoor seating is limited. Plenty of outdoor seats! Fast service despite being crowded, friendly cashiers. I recommend for a good way to finish the night! read more
After a buttery dinner at Kickin' Crab nearby, my wife and I were in search of a sweet treat to cap off the night. We were originally headed to Somi Somi, but a new banana-themed menu at Sul & Beans caught our eye -- so we decided to check it out instead. We ordered the Banana Milk bingsoo (they also have a Banana Choco alternative) and to my surprise, this easily ranks in my top 3 bingsoos in the states. If you grew up drinking banana milk in Korea (the barrel shaped ones with the green top), this is a nostalgia bomb in the best way possible - it's just a creamy, icy dessert version of it. My wife also ordered some hot tea to wash down the pound of butter we consumed beforehand. The tea was ok. The shop itself is minimal and clean, with plenty of seating inside and additional tables around the outside perimeter. It was pretty packed when we visited (Friday evening), with everyone yapping over bowls of bingsoo, but we had no problem finding a spot to sit. Only downside? The Diamond Jamboree parking -- a total nightmare. Be prepared to circle for a while and stalk nearby patrons going back to their cars. read more
Sul & Beans bingsoo is always a great, not too heavy dessert! We ordered their fresh strawberry bingsoo and it was a perfect amount for 3 people to share. Their shaved ice is very milky and creamy instead of icy. Their fruit-flavored bingsoos are delicious and come with some mochi bits on top and a side of condensed milk. However, parking is brutal in this lot and seating is very limited. I definitely recommend the Buena Park location over the Irvine location, due to more parking and seating. read more
my ranking for the flavors is mango - banana milk - berry yogurt - strawberry - early grey. the only reason why earl grey ranks last is because it has a little too much chocolate taste to it for my liking. other than that you can't really go wrong with any flavors. service is good, not great, but they're not mean whatsoever. this irvine location is bigger and more spacious than the buena park one, it also has outdoor seating which is pretty cool for hot days read more
I'm still kind of new to the bingsoo game, but what's not to like about fresh fruit over shaved ice with some condensed milk. Sul and Beans is located in Diamond Jamboree, so make sure you plan accordingly if you're going on a busy night. But what I like is that its open pretty late most days (11:00-11:30p), so you can satisfy your cravings when it suddenly hit. I ordered the strawberry bingsoo, but took it to go because all the tables inside were taken. The store itself is very clean and decorated well. There's a few tables inside which you'll have to grab quickly before they're gone. But overall, I really enjoyed the dish. It had a light and refreshing taste with a great strawberry flavor. It's the kind of dessert that doesn't make you feel too heavy or guilty after you eat it. I could see myself coming back and trying their other flavors like the mango or green grape. read more
I came with 4 other people and the size of this thing filled us right up! It was super refreshing and we even asked for a side of condensed milk a couple of times. They gave it for free! The interior has a few seats it was pretty full when we went but the service was quick. Definitely will come back again :) read more
Come here to bingsoo and chill. Nothing mind blowing about this one but it's solid bingsoo for sure. The inside has a handful of tables but ofc every irvine AGB is going to be coming here to spill the tea (we did too) so it fills up quick. They have a variety of flavors to choose from. We got the strawberry and it was the perfect refreshing sweet treat to end the day. The base was pillowy soft, not icy. The strawberry flavor was subtle but still prominent enough to taste. Definitely check it out if you're in need for a cold sweet treat that's not as heavy and leaves you satisfied but refreshed. read more
parking was kinda annoying because the plaza gets so lively, but the store itself was pretty empty. lots of seating available inside! i wanted to try something new, so i opted for the banana milk flavor (bingsoo) and tbh it was just okay... the granola on top was overpowering at times & the flavor was very mild. not bad, but i've definitely had better. read more

Sul & Beans is a small shop inside the Diamond Jamboree Shopping Center. Seating is limited, and the outdoor tables are cramped and not very comfortable for dining. We ordered the fresh mango bingsoo, priced at $14.95. The portion was reasonable, but the flavor was only average -- just okay, especially considering the cost. Overall, the dessert felt overpriced for the quality, and the shop is better suited for a quick stop rather than a place to sit down and enjoy dessert. read more

Bingsoo: 4. Came by around noon on a Friday. Place is located in the Diamond Jamboree shopping center. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Place was not busy when we arrived but got busy literally 15 minutes later. Ordered their mango bingsoo. A pager was provided to notify us when to come back to the counter to pick up our order. Our order was ready timely and looked amazing. Bingsoo was very good but did not stand out from others I had at different places. Staff was efficient but not welcoming. read more

It's not often that I give five stars to a place I'm trying for the first time, but Sul and Beans absolutely deserves it. This spot's Korean shave ice, or bingsoo (빙수), is simply phenomenal! Located in the bustling Diamond Jamboree Plaza in Irvine, Sul and Beans was packed when I visited on a Friday night. There was a lively crowd, and it was rare to see an empty table for long--clearly, this place has earned its popularity. The menu boasts an impressive selection of 14 different bingsoo options, including Original, Injeolmi, Black Sesame, Green Tea, Coffee, Oreo, Earl Grey, Fresh Strawberry, Yogurt Berry, Chocolate, Taro, Mugwort, Fresh Mango, and Strawberry and Cheese. In addition to bingsoo, they also offer a variety of cold and hot drinks. We decided to try the Earl Grey bingsoo and paired it with two drinks: the Sweet Potato Latte and Pomegranate Mint. From the moment our order arrived, I was wowed. The presentation of the bingsoo was stunning--a foodie's dream come true for photos! But it wasn't just beautiful; it was absolutely delicious. Hands down, this is the best shave ice I've ever had. The texture was incredibly smooth, thin, and creamy--it barely felt like ice. The name "Sul" means snow in Korean, and they've nailed the snowy texture perfectly. The Earl Grey flavor was subtle but perfectly balanced, elevating the dessert even more. The Sweet Potato Latte was another standout. From the first sip, I could taste the authentic, rich sweet potato flavor. It was warm, comforting, and absolutely delightful--a perfect complement to the bingsoo. Sul and Beans has easily become my new favorite shave ice spot. Sul and beans was delicious. We ordered the strawberry cheese at the counter and they buzzed our buzzer to let us know when the shaved ice was ready. It's filled with sweet flavor and comes with condensed milk to add additional sweetness if you like. Their quality is great and it's definitely a unique spot for dessert. Located in Diamond jamboree, the parking is a little difficult so plan ahead! read more
There are plenty of parking spaces, but because this plaza's parking is horrendous, you may have difficulty finding parking. They do have a parking garage as well. The store does have some indoor seating available, but also outdoor seating. I tried the Fresh Mango Bingsoo and it was really good! I'm not a huge shaved ice person, but I enjoyed this particular shaved ice place. The mango wasn't that sweet, but it was good. They give you a small cup of condensed milk and adding that was perfect. The shaved ice was soft and small bits just melt in your mouth. The portion is pretty big, so you can share it with one other person. We went on a week day after dinner. The shop is not as crowded as the last time I came. The line to place our order was not long. We ordered a regular size to share. It was just the right amount. The seatings are quite limited inside. They also have outside sitting. But it was in November so outside seating may be too cold especially we were eating a cold dessert. You can get more condensed milk if you need it. The clean up is self service. There was a sign to tell you where to place your tray. The table is quite sticky. There is no one to clean the table for you as the place is mostly self-served. So be prepared to do some wiping down before you sit down. I do like the dessert. So we will be back for sure. read more

Shaved ice was prepared pretty fast! We ordered the mango shaved ice- seating was a little hard to find but people seem to come in n out constabtly so we were able to find a spot by the time the shaved ice was ready! Cute spot to hang out- will definitely be back! read more
Such a good summer treat! I ordered the strawberry bingsoo with mochi on the side. The bingsoo took maybe 10 minutes to make, and the presentation was 10/10! Lots of thinly sliced strawberries lined up on the top, with condensed milk drizzled on top, plus an extra cup on the side. The ice is really fluffy and sweet, so it even taste good without any toppings. The mochi are cubed up and were nice and chewy, but also did not get too hard when they were cold + added to the ice. Location is located in Diamond Jamboree so parking is always a little tricky. They also have outdoor seating as well as a few indoor tables but they can get crowded. read more

Injeolmi - a Korean variation of mugwort mochi. I'm so glad we tried the Injeolmi bingsoo. I can't figure out the exact flavor? A very light peanut buttery/nutty flavor. My family enjoyed it! We also tried mango bingsoo and of course that was delicious and refreshing! Toast is offered on the menu and planning to try the Injeolmi one. I am a fan! The atmosphere is inviting and action packed. Lots of people enjoying their bingsoo. There's a good amount of tables and although most were used the entire time, we managed to fit 6 people around a round table. Turnover is quick. Don't feel intimidated, just hang around and a table will open up. The staff are friendly and helpful. Be careful in this parking lot, the drivers are a bit wild :) read more

sul and beans has a range of bingsoo flavors. in the photo, we got the strawberry, matcha, oreo, and earl grey. my personal favorite is the earl grey since you can taste the floral taste of the tea but some of my friends prefer the other ones. the other bingsoo flavors were good as well. there were syrups in between the layers which made it sweet and tasty with each bite. the workers were nice and quick with their service but seating was awful because there were limited seating and you would usually have to stay and wait until someone gets up. worst case, you may have to find seating outside. the area space is pretty small as well but overall has a nice vibe to it. read more

Sul and Beans is truly one of my favorite dessert places in the area for a number of reasons. First, I love bingsoo, and they make SUCH good bingsoo. They have such a huge variety of flavors and I can't wait to try even more, but I feel they really excel at creating the creamy, refreshing, lightly sweet treat as it is meant to be. We had the mango one this time, and the sweetness of the mangos, with the drizzle of condensed milk was enough to satisfy my dessert craving, without feeling overwhelmingly sweet or heavy. My partner and I shared one, which we always feel is a really good portion, leaving us satisfied by the end. We only had to wait about ten minutes for our order, which was not bad at all especially considering there was no line when we arrived. But if you are there at a busier time, they have an online ordering option as well. Plus the inside of this Sul and Bean location was so cute with its plant wall and minimalistic design. We will be back here soon, to try all the other flavors (I have my eye on the chocolate one) and to try some of their teas as well! read more
