This is my favorite Thai place in Burbank. I went last week for lunch with a friend, and it was amazing! We had their Northern Thai sausage as an appetizer, and we shared our entrees - the Pad Kee Mau and the orange chicken lunch special which comes with a small salad with peanut dressing and rice and a spring roll. The flavors married perfectly together, and I'm now craving more as I write this. I'm excited to go back and try other items on their menu. Their passion fruit iced tea was also very good, and they have beer to order as well. The staff was super friendly and VERY attentive. Overall, it was just a really good lunch experience all around. As a tip, this place is pretty small so don't come with a large group. It's good for groups of 4 or fewer. There is street parking around. Watch the signs. read more

Without a doubt the best Thai food you can get outside of Thailand. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and handmade. I recommend starting with the steamed dumplings in green curry sauce. So flavorful! All their curry dishes are a real standout, and don't be afraid to order them spicy, their high heat isn't overwhelming at all. So far my favorite dish I've tried is Grapow Gai with fried egg...so unique, mined chicken with rice and a sunny side up egg on top. Simply delicious! Great Thai restaurant in Burbank. It's very small - maybe 7 tables inside? It's extremely small and cozy. The decor inside is very cute and hipster-ish. I liked it! Parking is easy with street parking free in Burbank. It wasn't an issue with us as we got a spot right in front of the restaurant. Service was good since it was a small restaurant. I can't really complain. Be aware that the food is not family style. The menu has entrees that are catered towards one person. I was really interested in getting the curry but it came with rice. We were already planning on ordering the fried rice too. That would've been way too much. I think that the pad see ew and fried rice we ordered was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I thought that the serving size was nice but I've definitely had bigger portions at other restaurants. Overall, it's mediocre Thai food. Great for Burbank if you live nearby. We were looking for a nice place to eat while somewhat in a hurry and came across this spot . I was under the impression it's some hot wings cafe type of place and was not happy about that . Wanted more of a healthy choice but my friend dragged me there to save some time and not to lie we liked the way it looked from outside. Cozy , warm atmosphere , cute and intimate. To my delight It was a Thai place and I was in for a surprise with the great quality and wonderful taste , healthy and amazing portions. Hit the spot million times better than I expected . Specially after dropping big money the week prior to that in some fancier places for some overpriced , below average quality foods . What a wonderful place . feels as cozy as it looks even more, great food , nice and friendly and respectful staff , great portion for a healthy meal lover for such and I repeat for such great price. After 2020i. and the whole pandemic seems most places just went crazy with the price on the menu . T Summer BUffalo is still serving with some humility in that regard. this is a nice, friendly, tasty place. a fun way to absorb some of burbank which i know very little about. met a friend for a simple easy dinner. she chose since she works nearby. first time here for both of us. she got a green curry and white rice, i got 'pad see you' (not ew) with shrimp. both basic, but both very good. service was easy going, relaxed, and friendly. the crowd around us i could tell was also enjoying stuff. total tab including steamed broccoli on the side, one cup of tea and one cold beer, about $60. tbh, a bit pricey for a basic thai dinner for two, but going out costs i guess. even in burbank. this def seems like a homey family operation, and i like supporting local small biz. and when they taste good and are a nice place for a bite... well that's easy to do. i would def come back. my eating-out budget is not huge so... i can't come back too often. but if i could, i would come back. read more

Really love their thai food. The pad Thai is so great. It's delicious yet feels light. Not too greasy. I love the tofu in it. I love pairing their pad Thai with a nice class of Cabernet. They have a small selection but their Rutherford Cabernet was good. The egg rolls are nice as appetizers. Especially if you don't eat meat. I had Crispy Fried Egg Rolls, Tom Kha Soup, White Rice, and Thai Iced Tea. It was all very good and I appreciate no tomatoes in Tom Kha soup. The egg rolls were different and delicious, especially the sweet sauce that came with it. I'm pretty critical of Tom Kha soup and I wouldn't change a thing. The food is good, except it can be extremely Spicy even when you mark online and ask for Not Spicy, and its always super spicy. I like spicy food to a limit, one time It was too spicy i couldn't even finish the food halfway and it was too late to call them for an exchange. Here is what we ordered: - Chicken Satay: chicken was delicious and the peanut sauce was perfect. - Dumplings in green curry sauce: the adults liked it! It's a little sweet. This little restaurant is top quality! I've been in a few times now with my boyfriend and each time we were greeted and welcomed in. The servers are nice and the place is small, but stylishly decorated and clean. I've only eaten their summer salad and summer fried rice, but both plates have been fresh, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection! I did think the peanut dressing on the salad was a bit on the spicy side, so if I order that again I'll be sure to ask for less spice, if that's possible. The greens in the salad were crisp and the ingredients looked like they were good quality. The summer fried rice has a lot of flavors and it is not spicy at all so it was a nice balance with the salad. The shrimp and chicken that were cooked with it were cooked to perfection! Thai iced tea, in most places, is usually "off" for me, but this place knows what they're doing! Delicious! Husband had the chicken pad Thai, and although it didn't have nearly any kick to it, he absolutely loved it. I had the Pad Kee Mau, spicy, and I was blown away at how incredible it was! Summer Buffalo is a new Thai food place located in Burbank. The decor seems fairly hipster, but very welcoming. There is plenty of street parking located in front of the restaurant. We decided to order Grapow Gai with Fried Egg and Pad See You. The waiter was really tentative and asked us if we needed anything. The place was fairly empty around dinner time. However, when the food came out, it smelled delicious. The Grapow Gai with Fried Egg was fairly good. It had a good amount of chicken and Thai chilis. The egg and onion were a good touch. The Pad See You was fairly good as well. It wasn't the best I've tasted, but it was good. I feel Summer Buffalo is a nice Thai food place in Burbank, but I feel the food price is a bit steep. I think $10 for each dish and the amount of food you got was a bit, underwhelming. The place is nice, but I don't think this would be a regular spot for me. read more

I love Summer Buffalo! The wings are like crack. I order them every time. Adore the dumplings in green curry too. Mixing that curry with some rice is awesomeness for your mouth. Then you add in some Pad Thai, Pad See You, or the chicken curry noodle and you are in HEAVEN. Easily my favorite Thai spot in Burbank. Sometimes if I'm on Melrose will go to their other location. One of the best Thai food I've had! Unfortunately the service was TERRIBLE and the experience indoors was TERRIBLE. I went to lunch with 2 friends and we each ordered something different. Unfortunately, each item came out at different times which caused some of our food to get cold. It was also HOT inside. There was no a/c, just a fan. I would recommend ordering to go to ensure all your food is ready at one time and you don't need to eat indoors. Absolutely ridiculous! They held a promotion for lunch special "any order $20 or more will come with a free ice tea". I order my food takeout total came out to $35 with tip. I came back to pick up my order they told me they stopped the promotion and they forgot to take down to sign. Now I know there are bigger problems than this. However it irritated me so much that they will not just give a $.75 ice tea as a way to say we're sorry for the miss understanding instead of telling me they were incompetent. Overall excellent service; me and three of my friends showed up right at noon and were seated outdoors right away. Panang curry was very rich and savory, the pad thai was pretty standard BUT they included a variety of protiens (shrimp, chicken, and fried tofu) which is a pleasant surprise. The summer fried rice was very filling and I would highly recommend if you're trying to deviate from traditional thai dishes (pad see ew, curries, etc). The salmon curry noodle was the favorite for all of us - pleasant mix if spicy and a little bit of that classic thai sweetness. As I sit at my desk, eating my leftovers from last night, I decided it's a perfect time to review my new local Thai eatery. First of all, I was relieved to find a place open after 9pm on a Sundays (they close at 10pm). Second, I trusted the great Yelp reviews and was not let down. The ambiance is great (cute for a casual date, or for a friend dinner), staff is friendly, helpful and cool, food is fresh, creative and delicious. My friend had and enjoyed the "not-so-orange chicken" and I had the spicy salmon curry (which was not spicy at all). Both were yummy and we agreed we would be back for more! My only gripe was that the "spicy salmon" really needed some heat - it really was not spicy at all. In fact, I found it to be sweet. I probably would not order that again for that reason. We also shared the Summer Salad which was awesome - lots of veggies - fresh, just the right amount of dressing and a generous serving. Our server was a lovely and attentive young woman who was patient with our slew of questions. I definitely recommend this spot and I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other dishes! read more

I was kinda surprised at how small the place was and luckily there wasn't much of a wait so we got seated within a reasonable time. Came here last week to meet some friends for dinner. It's a cute spot, but small, so you might have to wait a bit for a table. We waited about 10 minutes as a group was just finishing as we checked it, so that worked out well. We ordered the egg rolls, the curry dumplings, the garlic pepper wings, the khao soi (coconut chicken curry noodles), and the grapow gai (a minced chicken with rice and veggies). All were good, but I really enjoyed the curry dumplings and the curry noodles - YUM! The wings were good too and had meat on them instead of just skin, which I always appreciate. The egg rolls are different; thin and crispy. I enjoyed them, but liked the dumplings better. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back. read more
