I used to live in the neighborhood and would walk to Sunny's a couple times a week for breakfast. You always get a good deal for your dollar and the food is above average diner fare. Since I have moved Sunny's is now a fun treat for me when I'm in the area. The last few times I have gone with the Big Meat Omelet and enjoyed it. This place was originally opened as a Huddle House that eventually failed. Since Sunny's has come in they have steadily grown their business over the years and thankfully so! Much better atmosphere and service than HH had to offer. Typically can expect a slight wait on Saturday or Sunday mornings for a table, but it won't take long at all. read more

I was really hesitant to try this place. Sadly my first trip may not be a great review, but my neighbor drug me hungover as can be, to this place. As bad as I felt, it really took care of that hangover. The food is not waffle house or a great diner, but its not half bad. Since its close to my house, I find it convenient. You get quit a variety, however I totally recommend the French Toast, hands down the best pick on the menue. The hash browns, I didn't care for, they needed extra ketchup to give them a kick. Five star for a diner. Hubby would give it 4 1/2. In and out quickly. The place was full on a Saturday morning. Sunny was running the register. My omelet, grits and toast was great. Hubby had pancakes and bacon. His only complaint was that they didn't have half and half, only coffee mate for his coffee (he also didn't ask so they may have it). Been going to this diner for years now and the food manages to be consistent in quality while maintaining a reasonable price. The diner is clean and the staff is extremely friendly. If there was anything to complain about it could be the wait times but personally for me I've never waited more than 20 minutes for my meal to be seated in front of me and it's only one guy cooking so that's to be expected. read more

An unlikely location, a strip mall with a gasoline station, postal office and Dunkin Donuts, this dinner is what you expect. Inexpensive, but classic diner food. HORRIBLE! I ordered a grilled chicken salad and it was pathetic! There was barely enough chicken and it wasn't even mixed together! There was no egg on it! I called to complain and the woman (who could barely speak English!) and all she did was tell me to call back after 5pm. When I called back she stated her name was Sunny and she owned the restaurant. I live close by so we get takeout from Sunny's on a fairly regular basis. Their breakfast club sandwich is to die for. I actually crave it sometimes .Grits are good, too. That's really all I ever get here. It's not gourmet but it is simply delicious. read more

What diner were the other reviewers at? This was hands down the worst breakfast I've ever had! First, my drink cup was so dirty it actually STUCK to the table! The owners and the waitress were having a stern discussion with one another while they cooked breakfast. The eggs and bacon were fine but everything else was terrible. The pancakes seemed like they were either cooked earlier and reheated on the grill or were frozen pancakes thawed and put on the grill. The grits were watery and tasteless. The ham was awful. I've only heard of people going here. I've never actually known someone that has. I however will not EVER return. Awful. read more

Great breakfast at a decent price. Definitely a hidden gem. You can't see it from the road and it's part of a strip of stores attached to a gas station. If I hadn't looked for a breakfast place on Yelp I never would have known it was there. I had the Philly Cheesesteak omelet and my mother had the French Toast. Both were awesome. Don't eat here. Went for quick breakfast, and it took over 45 minutes for my meal.... They forgot to make it, and worst part was.... I was sitting at the bar in front of the cook. Here's a valuable tip if you are in the area and thinking of going to Sunny's- stop at Lowe's foods up the street and make your own breakfast! Worst experience I have had in 25 years of eating at restaurants. Very slow and very rude. everyone in the group was horrified at their attitude. I get along with anyone and this is the absolute first time i have ever walked out of a place. I hate to give this place a bad review because the first couple of times I came here I was very happy with both the food and the service. The last 2 times I have come here it has been a different story, sadly. First please be advised that you can no longer order from doordash for this restaurant. I found this out because on Sunday which was a snow day I tried to order breakfast from Sunny's. As far as the Doordash website every thing ok. The menu from Sunny's that was up on Door dash stated that I could order a veggie burger with a choice of side including onion rings. Well I guess I was trying to order breakfast and lunch at the same time. Doordash told me my order would be delivered shortly. Got a call later from dash driver stating restaurant was closed. Ok understandable on snow day. On Monday, I decided to go to Sonny's to pick up lunch. I wanted to order a veggie burger and onion rings. I was told at restaurant they no longer offered onion rings as a side with burger and that I would need to order them as an individual order. I told the lady that if this were the case than they should change this on the door dash menu. She seemed not to understand at all was very rude and stated that, " This is door dash problem not mine." Thinking that perhaps the language barrier was causing the problem I explained situation to a waitress who was obviously fluent in English. She said oh we no longer deal with door dash delivery because once they did not pick up food and it had to be thrown in trash. I told her if this was the case Sonny's should be taken off as an option for the Doordash delivery menu. Doordash does not seem to have been informed of this. When my food came it was not very good. I went with a veggie omelet with English muffin and has browns. The omelet was okay but the hash browns were over done and the English muffin was cold and also over done. However, since this place has been discovered by the locals, it gets crowded and there is a wait for a table and then your order also takes quite a while. Another short order cook would definitely help to keep things moving. I've waited up to 35 minutes for my eggs. I have decided if I'm really hungry I need to go elsewhere. read more
