Me with my painting that I made at Sunset Rooftop's Sip , Smoke & Paint Event !

I usually come to this location and recommend it to a lot of people, however my last two visits consecutively were a little bit under par. I paid for a drink and the sip and paint special. However, I had to wait almost an hour and 30 minutes for my drink to be brought out, and the painting session was completely over, twice in a row. I'm not sure if it was deliberate or if there was some sort of error however, I just didn't feel very valued and like I should be continuing to invest money into the space. This will unfortunately be my last visit as I don't feel like signing up to not get service for a third time would be very reasonable/practical on my end. All the best.

Aspen made a good drink and the vibes are great!!!

Came in around 11pm on a Thursday and the Dj was playing great music and Aspen made us some really good drinks!

Mojo delivered outstanding service--attentive, personable, and made the whole experience feel effortless. From our hookah to champagne and drinks, everything was handled smoothly and with great energy. He checked in just the right amount and kept the vibe elevated all night. Definitely the kind of service that brings you back.

Parking is free at nights and there is a small parking lot. They have gold champagne flutes that are so cute and a dj that comes in. They do a lot here such as sip and paints, candle making and karaoke. For birthdays they give a complimentary dessert, sparkler, bubbles from a gun, etc. We got a bottle of Moet and they put it on ice. When there is no dj they have just a music box that you put money into. We can that up of $40 because the box didn't really play good music on its own. Service was good and prices not too bad. Bottled water- $1 Wings- $15 Shot- $15 They had some hot lemon pepper wings and the fries were 10000000/100000000000. Seasoned very well, fresh and homemade. They gives lots of ranches and ketchup and a side of carrots and celery. It was tasty! They have hookah here too!

The space is super cute and I'm sure I'll go back to take advantage of one of the little private rooms you can rent by the hour. However, I went for a Groupon experience, bottomless mimosas and candle making. I was told to make a reservation, which was easy to do, I simply called and told the hostess I purchased the candle making for two people and wanted to make a reservation for the following Sunday and she easily added me +1 for 5:30pm. Unfortunately, upon check in, I was told that candle making is actually at 8pm and paint and sip is 5:30pm. I explained that when I made the reservation she asked if 5:30 worked and I said yes. The hostess informed me that it was a mistake because candles are 8pm every day with paint @5:30 every day. She offered to add me to the paint, which although I don't enjoy at all, my friend was down for. As we were early we decided to order some food. I asked for a draft beer and was told it wasn't working, so I ordered a bottle of beer, which at $9 I thought was a bit pricey. We ordered nachos and were told they were out- this was at 4:45 pm on a Sunday. After checking with the chef, the server told us that we could indeed order nachos. We also ordered hummus and grilled pita which for $13 an order, I figured had to be massive. I'll let you decide by the pics. The sun was setting and again I thought the outside space was adorable and perfect for a craft Again, let me stress that I strongly dislike all paint nights but even my friend said it wasn't the most fun experience she's had without a fun and involved teacher. All in all, pretty pricey but cute space.

Royale was cool as our server, my first time @sunsetrooftop. Marino was also great for keeping our hookah maintained. I ordered hot pepper wings & fries they were yummy and hot. The kitchen is currently being renovated, my daughter having her engagement party on august 30th hopefully it will be ready. This place is cozy we had fun a lot , they are some things that isn't good. The parking lot is very small there's street parking available. The stairs are somewhat narrow and steep, happy I wore low heels. As we were leaving I asked the security guard was there an elevator he said yes. All in all it's cute cozy just needs a few improvements....

Such a cute fun candle making class. We had a private room we share with 2 other gals who were cool. We were able to connect to a speaker and play our own music. We did have to take our creations outside in the cool air for them to harden faster which it did quickly. Outside is a cute small outdoor area with a large TV playing sports and music playing. Love that they have games on the tables to play. Great vibe! Would definitely come back. Only issue I have is that the candle won't stay lit!! The wooden wicks do not work!! Travel_lifestyle_chow

I had a Groupon for 2 entree's, 2 cocktails and a Hookah. We ordered the Lamp chops, Salmon, and along Island Ice tea for $99. We added fried zucchini and Breaded Ravioli for appetizers. Our server Thando greeted us and sat us down immediately, we were early so had our choosing of seats. I love that the napkin dispenser had a call button attached but we never needed to use it. The food was all amazing! 10/10. The drinks seemed like a overproof vodka but it didn't ruin the night. I will come back again. read more

The atmosphere was nice but the food was terrible. I orders a vegetarian Sharma wrap and it was awful. Nothing but cabbage and 3 pieces of broccoli. My friends were not a fan of the food either. Sip and paint is to be avoided at any price. No aprons, "paint" that never dries, and is thinner than a napkin in a rainstorm. No easels, so no room for paints. Hasty, speedy instruction. Did the teacher have a plane to catch? You have no idea what painting you are going to paint until you arrive. By the end, you don't care. read more

One of the worst places I've been to in all of Los Angeles! The smell of marijuana is everywhere, the food is terrible, and the hookahs are just as bad. If you're looking to ruin your evening, this is definitely the place to go! Service is fine! read more

Went for the candle making workshop. Jupiter was so sweet and guided us through the entire process. He was calm, attentive, and had great energy. The music was nice so this is a great place to be at if you want a hip ambiance. We did not get to try the food but we will go again to try other stuff. Rocked our way over to the Sunset Rooftop bar! The crew and I were in LA for our first post-COVID concert when we stumbled on the Sunset Rooftop near the venue! We quickly made reservations and took over the corner of their upstairs patio. Our experience at Sunset Rooftop mainly consisted of tequila shots! The waitresses were incredibly friendly, and even brought over a number of Coke-backs for chasers. I ordered the hummus platter to cure my hunger and balance the buzz. The hummus was creamy with the perfect bean-like texture. It was served with pita, carrots, and celery and was a huge hit amongst my friends! If you're ever headed to the Palladium, I highly recommend this spot to pre-game! read more

"You can't handle the truth" is a neon sign in the lounge. The ambiance is cool. Music was mostly continuous. Food was ok, beverages were good. Problem? SERVICE!!!!! (Nikki) I truly am sorry to give such a review however, the truth is... we appeared to be our servers only table and I had to get up and physically ask for something 3 times!! That is terrible service!!! When forced to pay 18% gratuity I have no problem doing so for at least minimum service of checking on your table at least 15 minutes after service. Our server was not serving our table while all tables around us were being serviced by the other servers. I'm not a complainer but rendering an honest review of our experience tonight. Definitely not the rooftop bar I was expecting. It's just a restaurant with an outdoor patio in a strip mall in a shady part of Hollywierd! Three and a half stars....I was very confused by the Yelp reviews so I felt like an honest review was needed. I'm not a local so I don't know if it's a good/bad neighborhood. Didn't seem bad, but not super upscale. Not a dive at all. It is a hookah bar which I didn't catch at first. Our service was average to above average. I would note that there is a button on the table to call the server. So for all the other patrons who complained about service, maybe they didn't see this option or didn't have it on their table. I didn't need it as I flagged the server if I needed something. She passed by frequently enough. The food was pretty good. I got shrimp tacos. It wasn't the best shrimp tacos I've ever had but still pretty good. I would honestly liken it to a Tex mex restaurant quality. My daughter had plain penne pasta with grilled chicken so it's hard to mess that up. We also had dessert of a pistachio frozen thing which was smaller but tasty and chocolate gelato, always good. There was one item that stood out and honestly should give the restaurant an extra half star IMO, THE FLOWER TEA! Beautiful and yummy, something I've always wanted to try. See photo. Horrible service. Didn't seat us until after 20 minutes. Oj is nasty, lemonade taste like water, coke tastes watered down. Tables and seats were sticky even after we asked to have them cleaned. Prioritized the bigger group behind us in line. Seated us in their ugly back seating area after asking to be sat to the left of the entrance. Said meanwhile someone from the other side left that it should take a few minutes but they completely disregarded it and continued to serve us in the ugly area. recently visited sunset rooftop and unfortunately, the service was absolutely horrible. I was seated, it took an incredibly long time for someone to take my order. Ordered a drink and hookah the server brought me the wrong drink and hookah didn't arrive for 45 min . I tried to flag down a server to ask for a replacement, but they were nowhere to be found. If you're trying to get endless mimosas at brunch and you don't really care about anything,, then go. But here's what you need to know: my waiter didn't even have a mask on??? Tables are not socially distanced. And honestly it's just,, dusty. Butttt y'all know I ate that food and got those endless mimosas for #SundayFunday anywaysss lol. Got the chicken and waffles with the chicken strips (definitely get the strips not the wings, my friends wings were tiny and fried too hard. Don't play yourself) and frfr idk if it was the mimosas buttt everything I ate SLAPPED (so good I almost forgot to take the pic). The waffle was fluffy with semi-crunchy edges - just like I like it. The chicken was hot and juicy and seasoned and tender and just MHMM - JUST LIKE I LIKE IT. The mimosas were very drinkable, nice champagne OJ ratio and got me where I needed to be (they use cheap champagne but honestly what do you expect for $25.99?). They have a pretty short brunch menu but the star is obviously the endless mimosas. Things like chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, basic stuff like that. They also have a a few staple cocktails like margaritas but a pretty extensive list of hookah options. They have this one (kinda) cute grass wall where you can take pictures but thats as far as aesthetic goes. (I don't think any of these tables have a "view") Was kinda lit when I left so I have no clue how much I paid buttt it wasn't expensive at all. If they cleaned up really good, they'd probably be like 4.5 stars. read more

My oldest daughter took me here for a MOTHERS DAY date. I wasn't pleased. The food was not good. The chicken wasn't seasoned not a lick..Seemed as if popped in a microwave. Bottomless mimosas were not a hit. Champagne was not a good choice. I would have preferred Roscoes downstairs. Sorry not sorry. Our first time visiting, it's a pass for us. The creamy chicken soup was indeed very creamy and smooth but the bowl is really small and would've been better with a higher soup to noodle ratio since the noodles soaked up the yummy soup. The tofu soup was surprisingly bland even though it was very red. It could've used more umami flavor or spice - something to jazz it up since the tofu, egg, and beef itself were not seasoned. My favorite dish of the night was the steak tartare stone pot rice. It came with a lot of veggies that helped balance out the sauce and I'm a sucker for crispy rice. However, the rice itself wasn't seasoned thoroughly as some spots had absolutely delicious sauce while other spots were bland. And the sauce wasn't a part of the tartare on top so it wasn't a mixing issue. The staff are kind and attentive, even with us being tucked away in the back corner and hidden by a curtain panel.

Thankfully the wait staff attentiveness & efforts significantly improved the overall dining experience. They deserve high marks for their service, Despite the efforts of the friendly wait staff, I cannot overlook the dismal quality of the avocado dish. Now, let's talk about the "avocado toast." I regret to say it was an absolute disappointment and major letdown. This rendition of the popular dish was far from a culinary delight. The avocado mixture had an overwhelming amount of lime, rendering it unpleasantly tangy. Furthermore, it was spread too thin on barely toasted, basic white bread. The combination resulted in an unappetizing creation. I was genuinely taken aback by how unpalatable it was. I must admit, this was the worst "avocado toast" I have ever encountered. Considering the stark contrast between the exceptional wait staff and the subpar quality of the "avocado toast", it pains me to give a one-star rating. The service provided by the wait staff was the saving grace of an otherwise disappointing dining experience. Service was remarkably slow; despite a 2:00 pm reservation, we waited an unacceptable hour and a half to place our order. Moreover, the website fails to mention the presence of smoking and the lack of a smoke-free area. While DJ Pony Boy's performance salvaged my friend's birthday celebration, the overall experience was marred by inattentive and even rude staff. A busboy and hostess preemptively cleared drinks, compounding the frustration caused by the initial delay. The disorganization extended to the staff, as I witnessed a waitress being ignored while requesting help. To add to the list of issues, three guests at our table received overcooked salmon and had to send it back. The patio games offered a pleasant, casual atmosphere, but the dirty tablecloth and consistently poor service significantly detracted from the experience. Stopped by Sunset Rooftop for a night out with friends and liked the vibe. The rooftop area has a nice setup, and there was music and karaoke going on, which kept things entertaining. The drinks were good, and the staff was friendly. It did get pretty lively as the night went on, but that's part of the atmosphere. It seems better suited for the experience and atmosphere than for a food-focused dinner. If you enjoy brunch, karaoke, hookah, drinks, or paint-and-sip events, this is the place. Having a great time in LA but I can definitely say Sunsets the most fun I've had this far!! Food and drinks were amazing but our server Selena was the real tea. She was so full of energy and easy going. She answered all our questions and even gave us a great hookah flavor to try out. The establishment owner employs/allows a man who assaults women to host an event here every Tuesday. When they were alerted to this, they told the victim, "Don't talk to us about this. It's none of our business." As a business owner myself, I'd want to know if I was employing a potentially dangerous person. This place is low brow like its owner. I was pretty clueless about painting and lacked confidence, but Gia's patience and positivity made me feel right at home. We got a number and sat back down with our drinks. The food came out fast and hot. We got the chicken wings, fries, chicken quesadilla and fried veggies. I was stepping on glass for the whole rest of the night. I informed workers about the broken glass yet nobody ever came to clean it. By the end of the night there was literally shards of glass everywhere. This is a safety concern and biohazard issue? And surely they must be violating max capacity laws. To top it all off, we reserved 1 table, which we were told upfront would cost $350, which we agreed to. The next day we find out they absolutely scammed us. They DOUBLE CHARGED US- leaving us with a $700 charge. It's a shame because the live band and burlesque performances are truly incredible, and this has the potential to be such an incredible and unique club in LA, but they are creating absolutely terrible experiences for their patrons by not implementing a max capacity. We even had a reservation and our party still had to wait outside upwards of 30 minutes. The bartenders and staff were rude. Security was unhelpful. Everything about my experience unfortunately was so negative I don't see myself ever returning here unless some serious changes are made. BE AWARE!!
