I just got back from the weekend dinner buffet, no idea how this place gets bad reviews, they have a great selection. I went right around 5pm, about a half hour after they open for dinner service, which I would recommend doing. The food is still fresh; crab, crawfish, cheesy mussels yum yum. My husband and I have been coming here for years, getting take-out by the pound. They have a tremendous selection of meats, poultry, seafood, even frog legs , some sushi that is better than Safeway and than some Japanese sushi bars(but only a few types) , frog legs, pizza slices, crab legs, several desserts and lots of fresh fruits, salad items... IT IS A BUFFET, BUSY, NOT MEANT FOR TABLE SERVICE... You cannot get the quality and quantity AND variety of Chinese and other foods (nussels, oysters on the half shell) for the money. My husband was recuperating from surgery and when asked what he wanted for dinner, that was it! The family- owned and operated business is having tough times as food costs go up and folks can'ty even afford the buffet, but they all work long hours . Many families go there for an outing since they can eat up on the cheap, something there for everyone. Those Yelpers complaining about the service or the food- you can see what is there and if there is nothing you would want, you are out of control snobby! I am an excellent cook as is my husband, several cuisine types and we grow lots of our own veggies so our standards are high. I have been several times. Always server cleaned window by windex. Food was not refill. All emploees dlin't smile. I will don't go there.

Always horrible service, hostess don't say hi or anything. Waiter basically tossed our forks and didn't even clean the table before we sat down (it was weirdly sticky). They bring your check even before your drinks get there, and they start cleaning up the restaurant even if you're still eating. A waiter came to collect their sauces (even though we were still using them) and to make things worse he dropped the lid on one of our drinks (and didn't bring a new drink or offer at least). For the most part, the food is delish... when it comes out fresh. So it's more of a hit or miss with this place. Lots of varieties to choose from and every now and then they will change up the menu a bit. This place definietly lacks customer service . This is absolutely the most disgusting buffet that I have ever been in... the seafood was freezer burned, dry, and leathery which I could not tell before biting into it, due to the fact that most everything is heavily battered and fried. The meat options that were not fried were disgustingly chewy. There was virtually no service beyond a hostess holding up two fingers as if to ask us how many were in our party. Additionally the ridiculously high prices were not made obvious until after we had plated our food, the price for dinner was $14.99 per adult, which I would usually have no problem paying, but the food was so disgusting that neither I nor my boyfriend could even finish our first plate. Not sure why we went here again after my husband had a negative experience here previously. The ONLY good thing was the crab and fruit, otherwise EVERYTHING else was disgusting. Stomach felt like someone punched me. Absolutely the worst Asian buffet I have ever been to. Had to run to their restroom during my meal as it didn't settle well. The rudest staff huddled around the front almost creating a barrier to leave. Maybe a lot of people try to leave without paying......wouldn't be a surprise considering the food isn't worth paying for. The guy that sat us down threw the straws and napkins down and said he would see about a high chair after we had to ask. He asked how old is "the kid"? No smile and just down right rude. We love to come here as a big group. They have a separate room in the back. There are so many dishes here. Their seafood selection is big too. Customer service is good. They only charge about 10 percent tip for big group, which is less than what I usually tip. Highly recommend. read more

I have always found these consistently good. My friend likes to eat the noodles and dim sum and these have been inconsistent in quality from visit to visit. MSG? Never have seen it there. Service? Well, I just push the dishes to the side and they eventually pick them up but I have always found them courtesious and sometimes they will ask to refill your glass and sometimes you will have to ask. The lady who brays like a donkey? Well, she comes with the place and is part of the ambiance. Filthy rug? Yes most likely but I don't eat off the rug so it's not a problem. Have I ever gotten sick of the food? Never, I have eaten here often. Deserts? I don't have any experience with them other than the occasional fortune cookie which can vary in freshness. Fruit? Varies in time of season. Mostly about what I would expect from a place like this at the prices they charge , the food is generally good , but not great . Some of the dry foods are a bit stale at times . But still good bang for the buck . I like to go on a weekday at lunch time as the price is $2 less than on weekends and at dinner time . I am always happily full when I depart . Yes I will be going back , but only maybe once a month or so , otherwise I would get fat . It's a chinese buffet. Not much to say. It's got a good variety of food, American (garlic bread, bacon wrapped hotdogs, pizza), some sushi, 4 types of soup, and your usual suspects of Chinese offerings. Lunch and dinner menus are mostly the same with the crab being switched out for dinner. At night, when it gets late, sometimes the trays can be empty. They'll gladly cook more upon request but I'd prefer that they just stocked the trays until 30 minutes to closing (instead of an hour). Prices are reasonable. The take out option let's you box up whatever you want at usually less than the buffet price. Unless you plan on eating two or more plates, to-go is the way to go. This restaurant is big, there's never been a problem with seating. Because it's down town, parking is a problem. But it's worth the trouble because this is the best option for a Chinese buffet around this part of Sonoma County. read more
