Vegan 'hangover' Ramen. If you're sensitive to spice, make sure to tell them to make it mild!

We drive more than 25 miles just to get to Sura because it is THAT good. It's hard to find Vegan Korean BBQ spots that hit the spot, so when we we do find one, we do what it takes to get there. Food is AMAZING. The new recipe for their vegan bulgogi BBQ is ! Customer service is great as well, as they do keep checking in on you (even when they're busy, busy). There is outdoor seating as well. One of Long Beach's little gems, for sure.

Wednesday evening, my boyfriend and I managed to find a parking spot in the small lot in the back. A lady vacated her spot. It was perfect timing! We chose a table outside for dinner. There was zero delay in service and everyone was very nice. We ordered a honeydew Melona smoothie with soy milk and a taro smoothie with whole milk. Both smoothies were so delish! We decided on the vegan combo and ordered spicy chicken à la carte. We were given a big bowl of japchae. I had vegan banchan (kimchi, sprouts). A server informed me which banchan was vegan and which was not. We got the vegan dumplings and that was very tasty! A server helped us cook the meats and he was so kind. He dished out our meats on to our plates when it was ready. We loved the vegan garlic shrimp and the fact they were tailless. I wish we could've bought the vegan meats and/or banchan to take home and grill. I finished off my little bowl of white rice with the sides and savory meats. We took our leftover vegan bulgogi and spicy chicken with us. The next night, I put my vegan bulgogi in tacos. It was just as good as before! We would definitely come here again! This restaurant was on my radar for a while and I'm so grateful we finally tried it!

Best KKBQ I've had! We went on a Saturday night and it was a little busy but we only had to wait 5 min for a table. We sat outside and it was the perfect weather for it, the stovetop also kept us warm! The service was really nice, they were really attentive and gave us good recommendations for our picks of meat. We got the pork and beef combo and it was the best quality meat I've ever had at a KBBQ restaurant. The beef melted in your mouth it was so tender. They also gave lots of sides it was definitely worth the price. I will be back for sure!

I cannot believe I've lived in the area for 15+ years and never made it to Sura. I'm genuinely kicking myself because this place is delicious. You can sit outside and grill your own food or dine inside and have the BBQ brought out already cooked. I chose inside tonight because, honestly, I went out specifically so I wouldn't have to cook. LOL. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic. Super friendly, great recommendations, and she guided us toward ordering family‑style so we could try a bit of everything. And yes, Korean food also means Soju. We had the Jinro Peach Soju, and it was dangerously easy to drink. I sipped, but it definitely goes down like juice. Service overall was perfect. Even when Kelly stepped away, other staff checked in just enough so we never felt ignored or constantly interrupted. It was that ideal balance you hope for but rarely get. We arrived before the dinner rush, and I'm glad we did because the restaurant isn't very big. I can only imagine the wait once things get busy. If you're craving Korean food, stop by. I'm already planning to return with a bigger group and sit outside--looks like it would be such a fun experience.

Great options for vegan/ vegetarian folks! The outdoor patio is set for grilling only and the inside is al la carte. Wonderful experience! Would def recommend

Decent spot. Came by for dinner with a larger group. We definitely over-ordered, but made a big dent for sure! We got seated outside. Service was below average. With the amount we ordered, they had difficulty placing all the food on our table. Side refills and overall cadence of food being brought out was a bit unorthodox. Pricier side, though meat quality was pretty good. Small lot in the back, otherwise, street parking only.

So so so so good. I got the bulgogi hot stone bibimbap and I realized that I never want a non-hot stone bowl ever again. The tastiest part you get from a hot stone bowl is the crispy rice at the bottom. Made the experience a hundred times better. The bulgogi beef is so tender and sweet. The vinegary and spicy banchan paired so nice with the beef and rice. Lots of tasty veggies and of course, a fried egg on top makes anything better. Nothing felt too greasy or overcooked. Genuinely a 10/10 meal.

Great place! My husband and I went to celebrate my 9 year vegan anniversary and really enjoyed the dishes. Spicy pork + Sapporo 10/10 Vegan Bulgogi 8/10, a little dry for my liking but overall good, would recommend Vegan Korean Fried Chicken 9/10, amazing with the pickled veggies! The v banchan were the best! I loved the macaroni salad, radish and spicy cucumbers were my fav. Our server was Alex, super attentive and answered all of our questions. It wasn't too busy and the service was quick. They have some parking in the back. Definitely coming back to try more!

Went back to Sura and it was as good as I remembered, perhaps better. Sides were great and service is on point. Prices are phenomenal and portions are huge. Perfect ambiance for a night out with friends or family. Best kept secret.

Garlic chicken wings, fries & picked daikon

I had the garlic chicken wings with fries and crispy rice skewers and both were good. The chicken wings with the red sauce are addictive but just had one to taste from someone else. Service was good but they were slammed so the busing wasn't as timely. Ambiance is nice and they have the outdoor patio for BBQ at the table. Happy Hour prices are great!

Such a gem! Went here for my birthday and finally got to try Korean BBQ for the first time thanks to their vegan menu. The best part is they also have meat options so there is something for everyone. The vegan Korean bulgolgi is the star of the show -- tasty when you dip in sesame oil with salt. The appetizers were also delish and the vegan shrimp was just ok.

Sura Korean bbq was good the food here came in pretty big portions for some of the meals i would say for the price though its a little expensive. The service was okay we got a couple of check ups nothing extra ordinary. The seating area was cool on the patio side with the addition of some Long Beach crazy heads walking by. We sat with 5 adults two kids and waited about 15 minutes to be seated so not too bad

Great korean food!! I got the garlic pork belly and assorted tofu soup combo. Both were tasty! I wish the pork came with rice, but the soup did fill me up. Also love that they have soo many side dishes. There were 7 of them, and i've not seen the mushroom in other korean restaurants before, it was delicious. At first, service was slow as it took them a while to come and get my order. After that, there was one server that would occasionally check how I was doing and filled up my water without asking. The inside of the place is modern and clean. There's also a few tables available outside.

The food was outstanding from beginning to end. I ordered the 20 oz bone-in, 45-day dry-aged ribeye, cooked beautifully, with a fully loaded baked potato. The flavor of the steak was incredible and exactly what I wanted from a properly dry-aged ribeye. We also had the Caesar salad and the fire-roasted broccolini, and finished dinner with the molten chocolate soufflé, crème anglaise, and vanilla ice cream. That dessert was absolutely worth saving room for. As wonderful as the food was, the service made the evening feel especially memorable. Our server, Saruh, was warm, attentive, professional, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout dinner. Saruh took her time to go over the cuts menu. And my husband who was going to get something else changed it to the exact copy of mine because of Sarah's knowledge and excitement. Alberto was wonderful as well, bringing food and drinks to the table and adding to the seamless service. Kevin brought out our dinner and was incredibly pleasant and very sweet. I made him pose for a photo too. Ha ha. But Romo, part of the service team assisting our table, was constantly attentive, and literally my water glass never got empty. I am a very big water drinker too. He was refilling our waters, clearing plates, and quietly making sure we never needed anything. Thanks I was seriously impressed how well the entire team worked together. Other service members always watching and anticipating. A very handsome tall Asian man even packed up our bones for our dog. Nothing felt rushed or intrusive, yet someone always seemed to notice exactly when we needed something. That kind of hospitality is what turns a great steak dinner into a genuinely special evening. 555 East has the classic steakhouse atmosphere, exceptional food, and a staff that understands hospitality.
