We made a reservation for 10:30am, luckily they have a 15 min grace period bc we were running late lol. There were actually quite a good amount of tables open, so even coming at 10:30am, you might not need a reservation! We ordered the surisan scramble, galbi jjim benedict, and the fried chicken wings with citrus and umami flavors. Everything came out at decent time, and the presentation of all is very pretty! First trying the benedict, the galbi jjim was very nice! Some were soft, but some were basically just like beef cubes lol. The benedict biscuit was a lot tougher than expected, the but the overall flavors were pretty alright. The surisan scramble with millionare bacon was pretty nice! The bacon is more on the sweeter side, but I enjoyed how thick the bacon cuts were. The wings were also good! The crispyness was very nice and the citrus and umami flavor was a nice unique flavor to have. More on the citrusy side, but overall flavor and texture was really nice. The breakfast potatoes on each dish were also pretty huge! Potatoes were a bit starchy tasting, and they are very filling. Overall, the food was pretty good! However, since this is more of a Korean Brunch fusion, I wish the Korean taste would shine out more bc it does taste a lot more milder, maybe to appeal to a wider audience? It doesn't taste like authentic Korean food tbh, but it's still a nice brunch. The prices are a bit high for brunch, especially the galbi jjim benedict, but most people recommended this so I wanted to try lol. Even small size chicken wings and another entree was definitely enough for us 3.
Chicken Cup Bap - was okay lightly spicy but it builds after a good amount of eating. The chicken had a great crunch but a bit overly breaded. Sampler was okay - probably would've skipped it and only gotten the original and rosemary as those were the only ones we really liked. Galbi sando - was not my favorite but the fries were delicious! The bread was a bit consumed by the ingredients inside. (Opted into no whip) Strawberry matcha was nicely balanced. (Opted into no whip) Ube matcha was not my cup of tea it was not well balanced. Service was prompt, staff was nice, and the seating area wasn't overly crowded.
Went back today and everything was great but there was mold on my orange with no apologize when discovered, or after a new one was served lol
Surisan has been one of my bookmarked places to try for a while and finally got a chance to check them out. Arrived on Saturday at around 11am. We were second in the check-in line, but took some time for them to greet and seat people. We were told all the tables indoor were taken but there was seating available in the upper outside area. Hubs and kiddo shared the Kimchi fried rice and the chicken wings (honey butter / soy garlic). They noted the chicken wings were crispy. They seemed to like the soy and garlic, but would've liked more flavor for the honey butter. I ordered the Creamchi Rice Cake. Kiddo loved the sauce on top of the fried rice. This was a good dish. The rice cake had a good chewy texture and the portion size was pretty decent.
We went here looking at the photos and relying on fellow Yelpers, but sadly this place wasn't worth the visit. We got poached eggs, I am guessing they poached it with lemon or vinegar because the eggs were almost inedible. They were very sour. The French toast was also okay, not something I would go back for again. Reason for 3 stars - Orange juice and Caramel Latte were super delish!
Very nice place and food is good not so many options but will definitely try the ither food on the menu. Please add more flavor on the Bulgogi :) Good for a quick korean meal. They close early but service is quick and nice. The place is cozy and clean. I wish I could have enjoy my meal though. I can't eat very quick and someone just felt pressured because they were closing and check has been given on our table after asking if we need anything else. :/
We made a reservation and had the option to sit either indoors or outdoors. Our server was incredibly friendly, and we came here to celebrate a birthday! There are a few similar brunch spots in San Francisco that serve millionaire bacon, but this one stands out as an Asian fusion brunch restaurant with a very clean space and a great ambiance. Chicken Wings - We tried both the hot spicy and soy garlic flavors. The wings were well made, crispy, and full of flavor. French Toast - My favorite item! It had a cream filling inside, and I believe the toast was double-fried. The fresh fruit balanced everything nicely, especially with the cinnamon syrup.
This place is trendy and big, with ample patio and inside seating. It was quiet on a Monday night and we received our food quickly. I can't say much about the food pictured but the presentation was good and it smelled tasty. I got the Premium Chicken Soup. It was so tasty I forgot to take a picture before digging in. It was hearty, comfy and enjoyable. That being said, this place is nothing special. It's a nice Korean fusion place and I'd go again if I were in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. However if you are in the area, it's a worthy meal.

The food was okay. I don't go here very often, it's not my side of town and I don't often have a reason to be in the area. In the past, service was really slow. I once 20 minures of my life to get the bill, pay it and leave. I should have gotten up and asked but I didn't feel like that should be required. Over the years, they've proven to be a great spot to take friends from out of town, s long as those friends are willing, able and excited about Korean fusion. They have a few standards. This Last time I got to hang out, the staff was very accommodating, we were never rushed and the timing of the food, once we ordered as really quick to show up on the table. And they have the bacon. I wish the Bacon came inside the bloody Mary but it doesn't.
Went here for both dinner and brunch and I can say that you go to surisan for their delicious Korean fusion brunch goodness! There is a waitlist for the weekends with a 30min est. wait time but it's well worth it! Easy to kill time around the area since you're near the pier to catch a stunning morning view. Staff is very quick & attentive despite their headcount to customer ratio so kudos to that! I've had great quick experiences in both settings. Must gets: Korean fried chicken (soy garlic in particular, skip the honey butter) Galbjim eggs Benedict, the fatty saltiness of the pork really compliments the light and creamy goodness of an eggs Benedict! Hollaindaise sauce was delicious as well!!
A classic Asian brunch spot! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Service was also great. I ordered the Morning Jook, which I loved. It's rare to see brunch places serve porridge, which was why I was so excited for it. Very hearty and honestly perfect for hangovers too :P My friends and I also tried the Blueberry French Toast which was so delish. Everything was so delicious!
I haven't been to this spot in over five years and finally decided to come back when in the area with my family. The food came out really fast, we were impressed! Which was a good thing because we were starving! The drinks were tasty, but the espresso martini had more of a milky coffee consistency. Which I guess I kind of expected because it was Soju base instead of vodka based. My family's drinks were good. They enjoyed them. The flight of millionaires bacon could've been better. It was a little undercooked/fatty and not as thick as I expected it to be, especially being that millionaires bacon is supposed to be thick. My sister got the omelette and she got a lot of cherry tomatoes. Her omelette was very watery. My mom's sizzling plate was okay. The meat portion wasn't too big. My plate was good, but definitely needed a side of hot sauce to go with it. Overall the food could've been better and it was mediocre.
Decided on Surisan for brunch on a Sunday and it was definitely worth it. We got there right before the brunch rush started and I'm glad we did. I've never seen food come out so quickly after being ordered and have elite quality like that. I feel like everything was tasty. My only gripe was the price of the bacon. And that might sound silly but there's no way in h311 bacon should be that price. Yes it was super thick cut and the best bacon I've ever had in my life but come on now it's bacon at the end of the day. Other than that 10/10 recommend. Oh and the surisan Palmer drink was really good too. If you usually enjoy Arnold Palmers this one was the best I've had as well. read more

My brother was visiting us, and he chose Surisan to have lunch on our Tuesday trip to SF. It wasn't busy, plenty of tables to choose from. Lovely decor, clean and open, and roomy enough for our table of 9. Our servers were really attentive and service was quick!(10 minutes and the pancakes were rolling out to our table!) All of our food was beautiful and vibrant! My Fisherman's Benedict was delicious. I got a nice bowl of fruit instead of potatoes. My bro and our kids finished all of their pancakes, my husband got the shrimp tacos, he thought they were good. My brother also bought half and half of the Korean fried chicken. My husband and he loved the flavor and crunch of them! The drinks were interesting too. The Cranberry and Raspberry Lemonade tasted fine and was visually appealing, but the Surisan Palmer took the cake! So good!!! It's was over $300 for our party of 9. This is a cute spot to grab an Asian-inspired brunch especially if you're planning to take a stroll around the pier. It was a quiet weekday and the staff was pretty attentive. I worried that their food might focus on style over substance, but it was pleasantly surprising. Iced Organic Ube Latte: Honestly quite pretty and a natural for pics. Korean Fried Chicken with Sweet&Spicy Sauce: Really crisp and delicious as you'd expect. I enjoyed the gooey sauce and the little side of pickled radish that came with the appetizer serving. Pimped Up Ramyun: It's hard to take noodle presentations that incorporate the disposable cup seriously, but I had to give it a try. I'm glad I did! The brunch here is so good! It gets crowded so make sure you put in a reservation ahead of time. I went to brunch here with my friends, and we did bottomless mimosas. The mimosas are pretty strong but still super tasty! A quick disclaimer is that everyone in the table must order bottomless mimosas if one person wants it. I ordered the millionaires bacon and asparagus eggs Benedict. The millionaires bacon is so thick, sweet yet savory, and delicious! I highly suggest you try it if you've never had it before. Delightful Brunch Experience at Surisan Surisan has been in this location for years, and every time I walked by, I told myself I must try it one day. Well, years passed, and I did not until earlier this week when I had half a day off and decided to have brunch there alone! When I walked in, there were a few busy tables with parties of four or more. The person who seated me was managing the entire floor alone and doing a great job of it. I told her this was my first time there and asked for her Korean brunch recommendation. She told me her favorite was Dolsot Bibimbap, which I ordered with the beef option and a cup of coffee. The coffee was OK, but the dish was amazing! When it arrived in an iron skillet, it was sizzling hot, and steam rose from it! It smelled so delicious that I almost burnt my mouth, rushing for my first bite! It was a tasty mix of vegetables and meat with an egg on top. The sauce that came with it was spicy and added a nice kick. I took my time enjoying the meal, and the server checked on me regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. The location is very accessible and close to the main strip in Fisherman's Wharf. They have outdoor seating, and the inside space is big, nicely set up, and maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I left Surisan with a full belly and a big smile. I will definitely return and try some other dishes. read more

The country benedict was alright in my opinion. The potatoes didn't have much seasoning on them, but the chicken was very delicious. The French toast on the other hand was very very good and the caramel sauce on it was so amazing. My friend and I split both the items so it was enough for the both of us. I was eager to try this spot. I had a tough time deciding what to order but I settled on the bibimbap with beef. I was with a larger party (6 including myself), among the other dishes ordered at the table that I got a taste of were bulgogi japchae rice, the galbi jjim, and boosted chicken jook. I make a lot of Korean food at home as I thoroughly enjoy the flavors, so my expectations can be a but higher than average for Korean food. The flavors can be so exceptional.. Frankly, I was disappointed with the Bibimbap. For starters, the amount of beef you get is laughable considering it's $27. Secondly, the flavors were just kind of run-of-the-mill for Korean. I have to comment on the rice in this dish too, it got very overcooked in the piping hot bowl. The rice was served in a large cup shaped mountain so only the bottom got crispy, when I mixed the vegetables and meat with the rest of the rice that wasn't in direct contact with the bowl it got quite mushy and unenjoyable. Would not recommend the bibimbap. We also ordered the millionaire bacon. And for $14 bucks for a side order (2 pieces of millionaire bacon), I felt quite ripped off. $7 per piece of bacon? Seriously? And the bacon was good, but not excellent. There are many many restaurants with this thick cut, sugary bacon on their menu now, it's just not that special. My father in law with the galbi jjim had the winning dish. That one was special. The sauce was flavorful, the beef was tender and tasty and the potatoes were fantastic. That dish leans more American than Korean which I wouldn't typically like as much but it was delicious. They did more exciting things with the flavors here. The restaurant was cool and had a nice feel inside, although it was super cold so not the most comfortable, we had to keep our jackets on while we ate which isn't really a problem, just unusual. We got our food fast and service was decent. Overall, a pretty let down with what I ordered. Most of the dishes I felt like could have been better and I felt like my dish was so underwhelming. This is a nice little corner restaurant located just a few block from fisherman's wharf. Perfect for a quick bite before exploring the city and shops! The ambiance was chill and mellow. I come in at least once a year when out of town friends come to visit SF and Surisan never disappoints with their unique Korean-Asian fusion brunch menu! The food is always presented beautifully and colorfully, always very flavorful and rich without being too much. The staff always is super nice and will make conversations with you based on your interests (they loved my senior dog and even asked me loads about her!). 10/10 would definitely keep coming back for brunch dates. Millionaire's Bacon is a must for anyone visiting and unfamiliar with Surisan and their sister restaurants! read more

Very cozy and warming brunch spot during rainy Sunday morning. I got the millionaire bacon flight and French toast and the country benedict. I love the crunch of the corn flakes on the French toast and the caramel drizzle accompanying it. The country Benedict was okay and didn't stood out. The millionaire flight of bacon was a unique experience for sure. The citron and cinnamon had a jerky texture to it but the original and rosemary had a softer texture. My favorite for sure was the rosemary one because it was packed with flavor. Would recommend to try if your typical brunch spot is full/busy. read more

Came here to meet up with friends before heading out to a EDM concert. We did reservations and were early but they still gave us a table. Food and drinks were prepared quickly as the food was yum!!! This was my second time at Surisan. The first time, I got the pimped up ramyun with Millionaire's Bacon. It was a large portion and really flavorful, and I ended up taking half to go. This time we came with friends visiting from out of town. We made reservation since it was a Sunday. I got the dolsot bibimbap with spicy pork, my husband had the Hemingway eggs benedict, and our friends ordered the galbi jjim breakfast and another bibimbap with beef. All of the dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. The breakfast potatoes that came with the eggs were especially good. The french toast is however the star of the show. Crunchy outside but the custard filling inside is so good and not overly sweet. Their cappuccinos are also surprisingly good, easily some of the best coffee I've had at a brunch restaurant in the city. Our friends were quite impressed. The service was warm and attentive both times I've been here. A reliable brunch spot that's flavorful without being heavy. I totally recommend it. read more

I've been here a couple of times and I think this restaurant's greatest selling point is the vibes. It feels so cozy and comfortable inside and the dim, but not too dark lighting is perfect. This time I came on a weekday morning for brunch with my mom and it wasn't busy at all (thank god). This place is usually packed on the weekends, so I was a bit worried. We ordered the blueberry stuffed crunch french toast and the blackstone benedict. I especially liked the creaminess of the toast and the crunch of the potatoes. I personally am not a fan of the millionaire bacon as it's too sweet, but I can see the appeal. Overall, this was a really peaceful brunch experience and I probably will be back :-) read more

Went here for a Sunday birthday brunch with some friends, and I would say this is a good brunch spot in SF. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The ambiance is super cute and vibey, I would def take pics here. Service was great as well, the server recommended us dishes and made sure we got everything we need. For the food, we got the bulgogi fried rice, spicy pork tacos, korean fried chicken, and the millionare bacon cheeseburger. I enjoyed the cheeseburger and the bulgogi fried rice. Located in north San Francisco is the hyped up Surisan. We walked in with a group of 3 on a Sunday evening and were able to get seated right away. I've heard that this place is normally packed and hard to find seating so glad it wasn't as busy. There were a lot of tables and chairs outside as well but it was empty as it was getting cold and windy outside. I really liked the bibimbap as it had a lot of flavor to go with the rice. I think this was my favorite in my list of plates in the pictures. The fried chicken wings are bomb! Very crunchy and lots of flavor. I should've gotten the 12 piece as I nearly devoured most of the 6 piece at my table. Overall the food was really good. It can get expensive quick as you add more items haha. Our table bill ended up being around $140 before tip and tax so definitely don't get sticker shocked when you receive the bill. read more

Surisan was the name of the restaurant my sister reserved for our group of 12. It is located in the city of San Francisco about a 10 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Thank goodness that my little sister made reservations. We still had to wait about 30 minutes despite the reservation because they were that BUSY!! To say that they are popular place would be an understatement. We all ordered different entrees. Some of us in the group shared our entrees family style. I cannot remember the names of the entrees which I tried. There were so many. I also failed to take photos of most of them because the group was so hungry that everyone almost immediately started digging in. Service was slow. Probably due to how busy they were. It took 30 minutes before we were seated. From the time we sat down, it took almost an hour before our food started arriving. Happily the food did taste delicious. I remember that I really liked the Crunch French Toast and the Millionaire Bacon. There were no complaints from anyone in our large group with regards to the food we got. This last Sunday my husband and I went to brunch with our son and some friends. We made a reservation here through Yelp. My last visit to Surisan was in 2021, and I was happy to be able to visit again. It was a little busy, but the staff was attentive and our food came out fast. I ordered a Matcha Mojito with the Florentine Benedict. My husband ordered a Raspberry Lemonade and the Millionaire Bacon Burger with fries. Surisan is one of my favorite Korean fusion brunch spots. The ambience is nice and great for group gatherings. The presentation of the food is very aesthetically pleasing & it tastes as good as it looks! However, it is a bit pricey and the wait time tends to be pretty long on weekends. Parking is also hard to find since it's right by Fisherman's Wharf. read more

Yes they are pet friendly, thanks to their enclosed patio! Reservations are strongly recommended but walkins are also available.
My daughter is vegan and I just made reservations for dinner - do you have any vegan dishes and if so what are they? Thank you!
The closest thing to vegan, they do have tofu dishes and I think you can request the restaurant to make it vegan. But always good to contact the restaurant to see if they can accommodate your request.

Is it the same or related to Kitchen Story @ Castro?
Same ownership, but Surisan is more korean infused while kitchen story has more of a Thai influence. Surisan still has Thai touches as well.
Are there any dishes without soy and wheat?? For instance 100% rice or potatoe noodles.
Is the outdoor seating pet friendly?
Yes! Last time I saw a big pet rabbit (the size of a dog) in the out door dining. And that rabbit was riding a hot wheel when it left.
Is there any vegan options here?
I didn't see any, I'd suggest calling to get better clarity.

Proof of vaccination and ID are required for indoor seating only.
Is inside dining open?
Yes but you need to show your covid vaccination card to be seated.
Does Surisan have a full bar?
Not a full bar, only beer, wine and soju cocktails
Are there vegetarian options?
There are but it's very limited (only a small selection of dishes)
Do they serve soju cocktail during brunch?
Yes they do! I posted their brunch menu which has soju options.
Are there walk-ins on Saturdays?
Weekends are super busy & the waitlist can be so long that the wait time can be upwards of 150+ minutes. I wouldn't bank on walking in without a reservation!
