Don't let the parking lot fool you! We came here on a wim based on Yelp, and I'm so glad that we did!!!! Parking is easy, free, and in a somewhat sketchy strip mall section. The windows are tinted dark, and upon walking in it was the right amount of music volume and perfect booth seating. There is an AYCE option for $30/person but really, it would have been cheaper for us to do a la carte because they have 20 percent off rolls. And let me tell you, the rolls were by far some of the best I have had- and I have eaten a lot of sushi in my years. Top 3 for sure!!! Everything was cooked and prepared perfectly, no frankenmeat, and was umami savory. I wanted to come back again for a second time during our vacation that's how good it was, but our plans didn't line up. Highly recommend, and will be back the next time I'm in Vegas. read more

Our waitress was really efficient and was attentive even though she was the only one we saw on the floor. The restaurant is a nice size, and it was very clean when we went. Only one thing, if you are not a fan of cucumbers in your sushi, let them know. Some sushi items that did not have cucumber listed in the ingredients, came out with cucumbers in them. The staff here is always on point, super kind and attentive. The venue is smaller but they can accommodate larger parties. It's always very clean, the music is good and they have multiple TV's playing various channels (usually sports!). The sushi is some of the best AYCE in Vegas! A True gem! Sushi Alaska has been a Staple for my family and I for Yrs now. The atmosphere is fun with Neon Lights and relaxing at the same time. The Sushi is Always delicious and fresh. The consensus from my kids and I was it was just ok. Nothing really stood out but everything tasted good. The staff was super friendly as well which is always a plus. I in particular loved their seating which was high sided large booths arranged in a way that every booth was sort of by itself in that when sitting at the booth across the isle from you was either the side or back of another booth. I thought this was really awesome and made the environment feel like it was just me and my kids which was great. Unfortunately, the consensus was that everything was just ok but we probably won't go back only because it was a bit out of the way for us and didn't really have anything food wise unique enough that we'd want to go back for it. Myself and 4 of my guys came for AYCE after work. Our waitress (Gabby I think) was cool af. But she had to clock out. Man did we miss her. New waitress had to be tracked down multiple times and neither her nor the cashier knew much English, and we didn't know how to order sushi in Spanish. I attended Sushi Alaska on a three day trip to Vegas with my friends. We arrived for dinner completely sober and were greeted by a waiter and then by a tablet. All you can eat sushi is ordered on the tablet and the order is sent to the kitchen. We noticed fairly quickly that they were understaffed so the lack of attention to our empty water glasses was forgiven. For the most part, we aren't huge fans of fried rolls, but one of my friends really enjoys a golden (tempura-fried) Philly roll. We ordered one as well as a few other standard rolls that contained fried shrimp tempura. The tempura was very much over done (essentially cooked to oblivion) and the fish inside was dry. We were also brought the wrong order three different times. While I can't say we'll be in Vegas again anytime soon, I can say that we will definitely not be back to Sushi Alaska. We'd sooner go to the real Alaska for better sushi. read more

This is one of the best all-you-can-eat, buffet sushi's I've ever had, especially considering the very reasonable price of $29.99. The AYCE also includes stuff like korean short ribs, ceviche, fried soft-shell crabs (although these items were one-order only). What was really great was the quality of the fish. Very fresh. Plus, they gave decently sized portions and reasonable fish/rice ratio. Too many AYCE sushi places give you thin fish slices and then a brick of rice beneath it. Not this place. Service was very friendly too. It was mostly one Asian waitress on Black Friday when it was half full. She was pretty busy but still was helpful and nice. I'm all about the AYCE sushi but finding a place that offers quality fresh fish, good/fast service, as well the right price, is very hard. I am proud to say I found a winner. Found Sushi Alaska on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Like all AYCE sushi joints, they have their rules (no sharing, no wasting rice, etc.) which I totally respect. There are no limits to how many rolls/pieces you can order at one time, so our first initial order, we ordered five EACH, then as we were getting full, we did 2-3 items. Service - excellent service, but I have to say we did arrive when it first opened; we were the first ones there. We spent about 70 min there (90 is the max) and three other parties came in. it was not crowded so that was good, but we also came for lunch. I suspect dinner would draw in a bigger crowd. The chef who I think might also be the owner (?) served us until his staff arrived. Everyone was great. Food - quality is excellent. Fish was tasty, didn't smell and I have to say portion was perfect. The rolls are skinny and taller, vs round and plump, which I appreciate bc it's easier to eat. I didn't think they used much rice which is good. I felt fulfilled when I left, and not bc of the excess rice. They offer soooo much on the menu and everything is AYCE except for the sashimi. They also have specialty items that you can order like ceviche, but you can only order once. Overall, a good selection. The one thing I noticed is when ordering the handroll, the fish goes deep into the end of the roll. Most handrolls at other places, they just have it at the beginning and then the rest is filled with rice. Not here. Their handrolls are EXCELLENT. Extra notes: We stayed at Paris Hotel on the strip and this sushi restaurant was 3 miles away and about 10 min. An uber at 11:30am was about $18. The uber ride home was $9. If you factor that into the cost of the meal, it was still worth it; BTW, lunch was $24.99? That was $38 per person (just two in my group) but when we eat a la carte, we rack up and easy $50-60 pp. So it was worth the uber + lunch costs. If you prefer to drive, they have a huge stand-alone parking lot; you will not have a hard time parking. I would definitely come back again. Loved everything about it. read more
