    Spicy Tuna Roll
    Sharita F.

Beyond disappointed in my meal. I was craving sushi so i decided to order from here after seeing the reviews. I ordered two orders of spicy tuna rolls, spicy salmon rolls and a miso soup. The sushi rolls were so small i thought it was for a child and i only had a half a cup of the miso soup. The only reason im giving them 3 stars is because the baby sushi was decent.

Been here a few time because the friendly service from the owner and fast. Food always delicious and big portion. Price is just right for this inflation time. Other sushi nearby are fancy with small selection.

Prompt customer service right when I walked through the door and let me know the eta 3 mins till the order is ready so I took a seat and it's clean in here. There's parking right in front and one other guy is in here waiting for their food too. Food is probably good if I'm guessing. I'll be back.

I'm reviewing as a Sushi Loco customer using Uber Eats. Checking this page, the sushi looks regular-sized and great! Unfortunately, I didn't experience this restaurant as a dine-in or pickup- I used Uber Eats. The portion size is vastly different than what is shown in the photos (attached). The sushi was barely bigger than a stamp. Not sure if they just skimp on those ordering through third-party delivery apps.

I happened upon this place last week bc I pulled over in their parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised at what a quaint place tucked into the corner. Dine in was not too busy but takeout def was. I'm assuming she was the owner but she was very polite and service was good. The food was great, came out in a timely manner and the prices were fair. They also have a nice variety but not too overwhelming. I'm so glad I tried this place and would recommend. If you're ever in North LB, eat local

My boyfriend's brother did the ordering since he's been here a lot. He ordered: Peruvian Cebiche: which was the catch of the day, tiger milk, ahi Amarillo, concha, and sweet potato. It was so delicious! I believe the catch of the day was either scallop or white fish which was in the tiger milk and ahi Amarillo sauce which was a sour like sauce which pairs well with the fish. It was also a great dipping sauce for the other sushi we got. If I could, I would have slurped the whole thing (the sauce) lol. Blue Fin Sashimi: with kizami wasabi and special soy sauce. If you have tried blue fin you are missing out. The sashimi just melts in your mouth and has such an easy chew to it. Sushi Nikkei Tasting (8 pc sushi): consists of 2 pcs of sweet salmon (parrillera sauce), tuna power (parrillera sauce, aji Amarillo, and chalaquita), Parmesan scallops, and Asian shiromi (white fish, Asian sauce, quinoa pop, and lemon). My boyfriend and I had 1 pc each. The salmon and Parmesan scallops were my favorite. My boyfriend's favorite was the Asian shiromi and tuna power. All the toppings complimented each other so well. Who knew?! Acebichado: which was a specialty roll with crispy shrimp, avocado topped with tuna, acebicado sauce, togarashi, and green onion Dusty roll: which was another specialty roll with crispy shrimp, avocado topped with octopus in ninja sauce, Parmesan, and tare OBA roll: which was another specialty roll that had crispy salmon, avocado topped with salmon , parrillera, jalapeno sauce, and chalaquita All the rolls were good and the different sauces complimented each other and the fish. We got there when it was lunch time so it wasn't too busy or too loud. The service was great as the servers always checked up on us. Definitely a must try and we'll be coming back to try the other menu items!

Everything was really fresh and delicious. The dishes are all pretty savory, except for the Sweet Salmon. Most of their dishes contained sesame oil and togarashi, but nothing was spicy. Service was good, but could have been better. I wish the server pointed out the different fishes/flavors for the tasting dishes. We had to figure it out by looking back at the menu each time. And even though we had a reservation, it didn't really feel like an anniversary dinner since it was not acknowledged or celebrated. It was a very casual environment. Overall, good experience. Hope to be back again!

The chashu was tender and flavorful, and every bite felt well balanced. The pork rice bowl was just as good and is worth ordering if you're hungry. The restaurant is clean, modern, and has a relaxed atmosphere. Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy. It isn't the cheapest bowl of ramen, but the quality makes it worth it. If you're looking for good ramen in Long Beach, HiroNori is an easy recommendation.

It was 90 degrees outside, hoping that inside would be in the 70s which was not the case. Made our stay uncomfortable. Regardless, ordered 2 Ramen bowls, pork and chicken flavor. Also ordered a pork bun. Watermelon cucumber flavor water was served as complimentary. Was refreshing! 15 mins later we received our soups and pork bun. All tasted very good! No complaints toward the quality of food being served. I asked our waitress if this restaurant still had a Michellin star rating? Her response, I dont know and I think so. I asked her to check with her manager, she came back 5 minutes later and stated her Manager does not know the answer as well. I find that quite odd Hmmmm .. Overall the food quality is great. The negative things on my visit are. 1. It was warm inside the restaurant which made it uncomfortable. 2. Only one small restroom 3. Prices are a tad on the expensive side. $19 to $20 a bowl. 4. I believe management was not being honest regarding my question about being a Michellin Star rated restaurant. How are you in management and dont know the status of your own restaurant? Honesty is the best policy. Good thing, food was good and everyone was friendly. Overall, i would come back because the food is good and the place does not get crowded.

While curry is their specialty they have other items such as udon, teriyaki, and donburi bowls as well as a few typical appetizers such as tempura and karaage. The restaurant is not very big but has a fair amount of tables. Its style has a mix of modern and traditional Japanese elements with lofi music playing in the background. We were given a friendly welcome upon entering and the service was great. We started with the mixed tempura which was light and crispy - a perfect starter that won't fill you up. For dinner we tried the beef curry and chicken katsu curry. Both were delicious. I had the chicken katsu. I really liked the breading as it was light and crispy - not too thick or greasy. The sauce was also rich and flavorful. I made it a combo which includes miso soup and a salad of choice. I selected the cucumber salad which was a little sweet but refreshing with the meal. I hope to try their donburi next.

I called it in on a lazy Tuesday after hiking. Food didn't take that long but I like that there was a wait because I know it'll be freshly made. When I walked into the restaurant to pick up my order, inside was cozy and I noticed that it was pretty busy for a late Tuesday lunch. A really nice young woman who rang me up and handed me my bag of goods. When I got home, I was pleased to see that they had separated the Katsu from the curry sauce, so my meat didn't end up being soggy. Their curry sauce is different from most curry houses. There are some herbs in it that I can't put my finger on, but I love it because it's not like any of the others. Chicken was juicy and rice was fluffy. I also like their kizami ginger which had a nice solid crunch. Even though it took me a while to pick up my food, it was still nice and warm when I sat down to eat it. Very happy with the presentation and the flavour. We'll try to visit and eat at the restaurant next time. Parking lot is small and can get a little crowded with all the other businesses open. But there is also street parking available. Also, because it's a Japanese restaurant, they are not open on Mondays.
