We love sushi monster! We have been coming here for years, since they first opened. It's nice to have really good sushi in Davis county. They also are very accommodating about dietary restrictions, my mom is vegan and they have made some small changes to the vegetarian rolls so she can have them and they still taste amazing!! When they are busy you might have longer wait times but that is to be expected anywhere you go. We love the atmosphere, they have cool light fixtures and the lighting isn't too bright. Their portion is huge but the quality wasn't there. I love spicy tuna hand rolls and the ones I got was filled with mainly cucumbers and their spicy tuna mixture tasted quite bland. The kids plate portion is really decent and that wasn't too bad. The service was great but I don't think I would give it a 2nd try. read more

They have lots of rolls to choose from here. The selection was almost overwhelming, but we asked our waiter for his recommendations and went with a few people who had been before and had suggested. The service was good and I loved the family feel. The owner was out serving and seating people and she took our call regarding a reservation for our group of 6. We did make a reservation but if you go earlier (5:30) you would be fine. The restaurant did start to fill up a little after 6. Lots of different variations of sushi not found at other more traditional restaurants. I'm not a sushi lover so I canf judge the place on sushi, But my husband having lived in Japan for a couple years I have found a love of Japanese food chicken Kastu being one of them. It was very VERY untraditional. Super thin chicken and heavily breaded, the sauce was definitely teriyaki and not katsu sauce. Stopped in for a quick lunch and left pleasantly full and content with my sushi lunch for $9.95. Miso soup, salad, 5 pieces of assorted nigiri and a California roll. The soup was a bit salty and the salad had way too much dressing. However, the sushi was fresh and I thought the portions were large. Service was friendly and helpful. I ate here with four family members on a busy Saturday night. We were able to call ahead for reservations since we had a toddler and didn't want to go anywhere with a wait. We still had to wait for a little while before being seating--right in front of their entrance, so customers and servers had to walk around us constantly. The place was hopping! We had several servers, but Camryn was our main waitress. She was friendly and tried her best with so many tables. We ordered gyoza, teriyaki beef and chicken, and several rolls--Vegas/Philadelphia/spicy crunch/green dragon/sunrise. Entrees didn't come with tempura vegetables; just white rice. Stopped in for lunch today, I've lived in Farmington for 6 years and have never tried it till now. I came in during lunch and ordered there 3 roll lunch special. We got a LA, Rock-in, and Unagi roll off lunch special menu. For the money it was very delicious sushi. This is more of a nicer casual sushi restaurant than fine dining. Sushi Monster isn't the best sushi in UT, but it is 1) conveniently located at Farmington's Station Park, 2) provides consistent quality for the price and 3) has friendly and consistent service. I have been to this location a half-dozen times and find it to be a pleasant experience each time with no complaints. My main disappointment and the reason it is only average sushi is they use Krab (imitation stuff) vs real Crab. I know this is why they can keep their prices reasonable for a sushi establishment, but I won't eat Krab and thus this eliminates many rolls. Will definitely continue to visit this establishment when craving sushi and not able or willing to drive to SLC or Ogden. read more

The food here is always really great. However the amount of time it takes to get your food (even when there are only four other tables) is absurd. I do realize there is a staff shortage this year, however I have been coming here for multiple years and there is always a ridiculous wait once you order. I love this place. They have two locations in Utah. One is in Farmington and the other is in West Valley. They have a lot of really great sushi roll options to choose from. Some of my favorite ones are BMW and forest gump. We usually get there so she me as well, it's pretty fresh. If you are a sushi person And happen to be at Sushi Monster, they have a lot of other great options to choose from. Very friendly staff and good food. Menu is a little difficult to read if you are ordering the special, you have to cross reference all the rolls. Sushi Monster is a conveniently located in Station Park in Farmington when you need a quick fix when craving sushi. The food is OK and the service was average. I went for dinner on a Saturday evening ~6pm and we were seated right away. The restaurant does get busy around dinner time as there were people waiting to be seated when we had finished our meal ~7pm. I had 2 different rolls (unfortunately, I can't remember the names!). One was a spicy salmon roll with fresh salmon and avocado on top. The spicy salmon did not have much spice to it, but the fish was quite fresh. There were 8 pieces. The other roll I had had salmon, imitation crab, avocado, and cream cheese wrapped in cucumber (no rice). I thought this roll was fresh and not too filling since there was no rice. This came on top of a sweet, acidic sauce that complimented the roll really well. This came out with 5 large pieces. I came to Sushi Monster while visiting my best friend in Utah. It's not on my list of places to go back to, but it was a nice, quick meal. read more
