My husband and I stopped by Copa Wine Bar but they were not opened so we looked for other options and found Sushi Seven. So glad we found Sushi Seven. We love sushi and Sushi Seven did not disappoint. We ordered the Chirashi Bowl and the Combination Bento Box. Everything was very fresh and yummy. We were hungry and forgot to take photos. Sorry. We will definitely be back, maybe on Mondays or Wednesdays. There was a sign for 2 sushi roll and a bottle of wine or saki for $37.

Tucked away in a shopping center in Stone Oak. Nice patio area that's covered, inside with nice dining. The staff is very friendly and seating is usually prompt. Child friendly as well. Excellent menu of sushi and rice selections as well. This is the best sushi in town! Can customize your sushi for you as well. Beer and wine available in addition to sake. Accommodated a party of six without any difficulty, great service throughout with constant refill for drinks, and the food was tasty and fresh and order was correct. I recommend strongly.

I've eaten at the restaurant before and have been very impressed with the presentation and quality of the sushi. This review has pictures only from the delivery I received. I was most impressed with how tight the rolls were made and the freshness of the ingredients. I've had a few rolls fall apart on me from other restaurants, but these stayed together well, even after dipping them in some ponzu sauce. They provide plenty of wasabi, ginger, ponzu sauce, and soy sauce with the order, which I appreciated. I got the rainbow roll (my favorite) with fresh salmon and yellowtail sashimi this time and was happy with the large portions. The shrimp tempura was delicious but a little soggy, it's probably better in the restaurant than for delivery. We also tried the Spicy Crab Temaki Fried, which delivered on both spice and taste and did not lose crunchiness in the delivery. This restaurant is on the pricier side, but they deliver a superior experience.

such a good deal with good quality sushi. happy hour was awesome. the spicy endamame was great with a ton of flavor. honestly pretty spicy and I had to alternate with water. seaweed salad was great. the classic rolls were filling and great. good amount of fish on each. it was pretty busy for early evening, can't imagine what it is like around prime dinner time around 7pm. there's some outdoor patio seating too, but wanted to sit inside because it was hot. the place is super clean and casual.

It's been a while since we've visited @sushiseven so we headed over the other night for dinner. Happy hour is usually until 7pm. This is one of our go-to places near home. I had a Kirin Light, Dad had Lemonade, and hubby had Green Iced Tea. We had Gyoza, Edamame, Seaweed Salad, and Shrimp Tempura to start. We shared the Yellowtail, Escolar, Salmon Belly Sashimi, Eel Nigiri, and Sushi Rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. I discovered that they opened a location near UTSA. If you're in that part of town, please stop by at 5138 UTSA Boulevard, Suite 104.

I can't get enough of this place! The food is always great and so delicious! I went twice this week with my girlfriends, we all love there here! This time I had to change my selections, because I am on a special diet (doctor orders) and I asked them if they could make some changes in the food I wanted and they were so understanding, they made every change I requested! We ordered so much food and all was delicious! You can't go wrong with any of these items! Oh and don't forget dessert, my gf ordered the fried Oreos , OMG! A must!!! Service was great! Very cute location and the sushi was good! We got the 3 rolls, fried rice, and miso soup. The fried rice wasn't traditional asian fried rice as it was pretty thick rice and had squash and bell peppers in it. Seemed more like a mexican fusion dish. Overall great place and would go back!

I was craving salmon sashimi the day I went here, it was hard for me to decide what I wanted but I choose the Poke bowl because I figured I would get more fish that way than with the sashimi, which seemed to work out. The fish was fresh and good flavor. The choices that you get to add it are minimal with out having to pay extra for them, for example a coupe slices of Avocado was an additional $3, I also asked for an eel sauce to be put on it and it was not added. I didn't notice until I got to the house with it. I didn't dine in so I can't really judge the service of wait staff, the lady working the to wasn't to charming though. I ran in and grabbed my food so I can rate the ambiance either. It is a smaller place with not a lot of seating.

Good sushi restaurant in Stone Oak area. Quick service, the sushi is made to order. I got the shrimp tempura poke bowl with spicy mayo and it was good but next time I'll probably request the sauce be on the side because it was a bit too spicy for my taste. I didn't try the sushi rolls but my boyfriend enjoyed it and he thought the sweet plantain paring gave it a nice balance between sweet and savory. I will say it can be a bit overpriced. I asked for avocado on my poke bowl and the waitress told me it was $3, I thought that was extensive so I told her never mind. As you can see on the picture, they still put avocado, but I decided to just let it be, however, I will not be paying $3 for avocado ever again. I can buy a full one for cheaper at H-E-B. Other than that I would come again for sushi.

Plus a big bowl of soup, this is $20.58. For a to-go order, suggested tip is $4.12 (20% after taxes).

I used to order their lunch bento to go every Friday. I love their crab salad, so delicious. Their sushi tastes good, too. Today, I was a bit disappointed when I went home and opened the box. Despite the price hike $5, the portion is quite small. This price can get me into a sushi buffet.

OK, I found my new SA sushi spot outside of downtown. Sushi Seven has deliciously fresh fish, though not a huge selection, but I'd rather have the quality in what they do offer. Something as simple as the miso soup was my first clue this was going to be good. 98% of places out there will sling you a muddy tasting bowl of reconstituted powdered miso or some such garbage, but this was fresh and clear and delicious with fresh spring onions and tofu pieces. I tried a hand roll and nigiri and each piece was fresh and flavorful. The menu has many interesting-sounding rolls as well as Japanese street food and other cooked options for those that don't do raw fish. I'm already looking forward to a return visit. read more

Ordered through Uber eats and picked this place since it had good reviews. Yeah no. Sushi is absolutely disgusting. HEB has better sushi. It did not taste fresh, I had to spit out because it gross me out. I wasted to $ and food. I didn't finish my food because Im scared I might get food poisoning. The tuna wasn't too bad but the yellowtail was rubbery and tasted so bad. Only thing I ate was the pot stickers because I was starving and it was already too late to order something else. Don't recommend at all. read more

I ate here after a very long day of filming. Our production team and cast were all drained, brains fried, and in serious need of a recharge. Almost immediately after siting down the Manager informed us that he'd be taking care of us, and suggested we share a bottle of Sake. It came in an awesome chilled bottle and it was top shelf and smooth. We were taken care of, I couldn't be more pleased with the service. The food that was ordered included the Green Dynamite Mussels, which are spicy and delicious. We all ordered different rolls, me being boring and unadventurous this particular evening went the safe rout and ordered a Philadelphia Roll and a Caterpillar Roll. Both were fresh and tasted better than expected. Thanks to my crew I also got to try the Marilyn Monroll! It was AMAZING! Words used to describe the food were: best rolls I've ever had, I want to order more of this, please let me try that, OMG you have to try it. So its safe to say, that we all enjoyed our meals and our company. I can't wait to bring a date here or come back with good friends. read more

I went there with a friend for happy hour the other day. They have a very minimal happy hour menu, but decent. Their appetizers range from $5 to $8 with drink specials and I believe four sushi rolls on their happy hour menu. There was just a few other people in the restaurant most standing at the bar. The food was pretty good, the Miso soup being my favorite. I don't particularly recommend the chicken lettuce wraps. The lettuce was wilted and it was a mix of chopped vegetables with maybe three or four small pieces of chicken in it. Not a good taste especially not for $8. We also try the temperature which was three shrimps for $5. They were spicy and crunchy and quite good. We both ordered rules off the regular menu since there were only four rolls on the happy hour menu which were pretty much all vegetarian. I might go again but it's definitely not on my immediate to do list. Our first server was a bit abrupt and unfriendly, come to find out he was almost off shift and just didn't care. Our second server who closes that was quite friendly and engaged. read more

5 star service 3 star food Sushi seven has a modern club like restaurant with a sushi bar, table, and booth seating. The day we were in there... it was freezing inside and outside. We were a party of 5 we all ordered rolls and hot tea. The tea came out luke warm, untasty, and charged $5 for each refill. It was so cold we refilled 4 times. The sushi rolls were decent and reasonably priced but we have had fresher seafood at Pappadeux. The service was good however the ridiculous $20 we paid for tea left us shaking our heads in disbelief. read more

So sad. I loved this place, never had an issue with them and food was always great. Unfortunately my last visit wasn't the best.. i ordered via Uber eats and when eating one of my rolls (sushi seven roll) there was plastic inside the roll. This was my first bite. I was just so weirded out that i didn't even eat the rest of the roll. We called to inform them and we're told the manager would give us a call the following day. We never heard from them. I totally understand accidents happen but there was absolutely nothing done and there was zero acknowledgment on it. Sushi's not cheap and it's so unfortunate that my experience here was/is left on this note. read more

Pleasantly surprised, had 4 different rolls Of sushi and an appetizer. All 4 sushi rolls were good, rice perfect & tasted very fresh. Fantastic little hidden gem in the Stone Oak area, we have loved every roll we have ordered from there. Tastes fresh and so many different flavors in each roll. Our new favorite is the Sushi Seven Roll but their Ribeye is something unexpected, this Chilango is nice and spicy (this Chilango found it fitting) and their Rainbow Roll is an amazingly different flavor in each bite. read more

Went to this place the other day since I was in the area. Let me preface this review first. I am not a sushi snob. I enjoy it once and awhile, but rarely go out of my way to eat it. So take this review as you will. The decor is modern and quite spacious. The hostess and servers were attentive. I ordered the Adam or something. Essentially it was a sushi roll with a slab of fish on the top. Nothing too fancy. I thought it was pretty good although the texture of something inside the roll turned me off because it was overly squishy--it had the consistency (and appearance) of a snail which is not too appetizing IMO. Snail-thingie notwithstanding the roll was delicious. Perhaps this is just me, but I didn't really like their menu. Let me explain. They had tons of options. Lots of fancy, custom sushi rolls like the Adam. For someone else, this may be a boon. For me it was a distraction. I tend to like clean, simple sushi rolls. They had sort of "traditional" options but they were limited. I'd like to see a more balanced menu. If you're in the area and have a craving for sushi, I'd recommend checking this place out. Oh, the prices were what one would expect for a restaurant in Stone Oak. read more

New sushi place in Stone Oak. Skip your usual sushi zushi or kumori fix and come here to try out a new sushi option. You won't be disappointed! I ordered the sashimi salad for a light dinner which was definitely worth the $13. It did have a bit too much dressing than I would've wanted, so next time I would ask them to go light on the dressing. My dad and brother got some rolls which looked great & they really enjoyed both of them. I had a bite of their James Tower roll which was AWESOME. Def order this one! read more

2 years later and I still love this place. Readers, please be advised that you must have patience if you go here. I've had PLENTY of great servers and I give the newer servers so leeway because they really are a great restaurant. I've been here so much that I got to know the management and everyone knew me as a regular. The management has since changed so I was kind of bummed (and still am) because with that came some changes like charging for Chilis Toreados, and charging for a Kanikama to Shrimp replacement. I HATE Kanikama so it was nice getting a free switch to shrimp unlike the $2 change at Sushi Zushi, but S7 has followed that trend now. Chilis Toreados (lightly grilled serranos in soy sauce and joy sauce) is now $0.75 which is ridiculous. Otherwise, the food is SOOOO good and the miso isn't as salty as it used to be. Service can be slow with a large group and they do have some inexperienced servers but just be patient. I've met the owners and management and they're SUPER nice. read more

Ordered through Grubhub, the James Tower and Joey roll I ordered were fine however the salmon sashimi and tuna nigiri smelled very fishy. The sashimi was grey on the edge. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with the manager. He told me I was wrong and it was fine, We went back and forth for a bit and ended with him telling me the sushi was fine. They did issue a refund for that part of the order without issue and Grubhub was easy to work with. I'm sad that this guy decided it was better for him to be right instead of apologizing and saying he would look into it to make sure it was fresh. I will not order from them again strictly based on the managers actions and attitude. read more

We ordered online for takeout and we're impressed that the order was ready so quick! We were really craving some good sushi and teriyaki. FIRST OF ALL, Chicken Teriyaki = Terri-Yucki. It was tough and the sauce tasted like cat food. It had a powdery aftertaste which I found strange... SECOND, Sushi was all lukewarm and room temp. Fish should AWAYS be cold. The fish smelled fishy and tasted fishy. Fresh fish should have a very mild to non existent smell. So that was a warning sign. But we were so hungry we ate it anyways. The San Antonian was just okay. Wish we got only this roll but we had the Bono (GROSS!!!) and the Merei (ALSO GROSS). Again, gosh was ALL room temp and super soft. Guessing it had been out a while and not in a refrigerated food prep table. Won't go back, won't recommend. read more

Y'all the Sushi here put me in Sushi Heaven! It is absolutely delicious!! I ordered the Pilgrim Roll and the Tempura Roll, the Tempura Roll was delicious just as shrimp tempura should be but the Pilgrim Roll sent me to the moon! The cream cheese made it decadent and the small bite of those peppers made it the winner! I can't wait to come back read more

Being a big sushi fan finding a hinden gem is always fun. And this one right here is the best gem yet. Try the soft shell crab for an app. Its soooo good! As far as the rolls goes I got luis roll and my wife got a Tokyo roll and we split a spice tune roll. There were so many good choices of rolls and we will definitely be back! read more

How have I not heard of this place before! I'm always on the lookout for great sushi, and now I can honestly say that I've found my go-to place! What separates this place from your average sushi joint is the variety and creativity of each roll! For example, the Mango Special: shrimp tempura, avocado, and coconut flakes wrapped with crab salad and mango. A great balance of sweet and savory! Don't be discouraged if this does not sound enticing because there is something here for everyone! The best part is that it's reasonably priced! I highly recommend this place! read more

When he asked about barracho beans, Anthony brought them right away. The ice tea was strong and tasty and he kept our glasses filled. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. The building is new. It's very open with high ceilings, lots of windows and cement floors. There was plenty of outdoor seating. There were only a few parking spaces by the entrance. There was free parking on nearby side streets or paid parking in lots behind the restaurant. We would definitely go back when in San Antonio again. The drink menu looked fun! And they have a rooftop bar.

It had a great spicy zing in the back of the throat after every sip. Queso was... kinda plain. It might have been better with the add chorizo option. It was very thick. Shrimp cocktail was big, but we started fighting over the shrimp pieces. There was plenty of onion and tomato left over after the batttle. Pollo Asado was a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. Grilled squash that was on the side was good. Chicken enchiladas were good and had freshly sliced jalapeños, which is always a welcome detail. I wasn't able to taste the quesadilla but my daoughter said it was "really good". Fried Chicken sandwich had a great flavor and the bacon was actually pork belly if I'm not mistaken. Sadly there was more batter than chicken. The seasoned fries were delicious and crispy.

We started…read morewith the Pan Fila Conchota combo that is a combination of the two that is 1/2 gallon of hot chocolate made using a base of Abuelitas with additional cinnamon, and cocoa along with something special. It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.

I particularly enjoyed having the fresh pickled red onion for fresh, zesty cuts through the abundance of other saltier elements on the plate. Their menu is slammin! Their sides, and sausages all had crafty ingredients. I enjoyed their spicy link options and their macaroni was delightful. Their BBQ sauce was a nice 4/5 but certainly did the job. As a native Texan who's had their fair share, this was easily some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Top 5 top 5 top 5. I'm of course coming back and looking forward for more banana cream pudding especially. They were small, slightly sweet, and had great balance with the vanilla wafer ratio. That whip cream on top too had me hooked. I couldn't have asked for a better welcome back meal for the bold Texas cuisine, hospitality, and novelty animal and cowboy decor.

The rice wasn't bad but the charro beans were flavorless, straight from a can but it seemed like the menu lacked focus as it tries too hard to offer "something for everyone ". It did look like a nice place to sit and have a few drinks, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I'll probably give it another shot, but maybe not.

I had mixed feelings about the food here. The tonkatsu didn't taste like it was breaded with Panko, but instead with a lower grade quality. The ice cream tempura would have been more enjoyable if it was cut in half or quarters. The servers could also use more training on the menu and food culture. The hand roll had more rice than the sushi quantity and took out the sprouts that use to go into it. This probably has to do with inflation. Sushi Seven's sushi is still better than the other sushi restaurants around the Stone Oak area. read more

Hands down the best sushi in town! The Bono Roll is my personal favorite it's really fresh and has a bit of a kick to it! As far as service, I'd say it's top class for the type of restaurant. My server (Jerson) took great care of my table he was spot on when it came to recommendations and knew the menu well enough to suggest all types of items. All in all I do believe that this restaurant is the very best when it comes to sushi! Will be back soon!!! read more

I have come to love this place! I choose it over Sushi Zushi. Everything is delicious but I usually stick with the James Tower or Sushi Seven Roll. The owner has been there everytime I was there working in the corner, he is always nice and sometimes checks to see if everything is okay. The only tip I would give them is to put more signs out front and maybe pull up the blinds. It usually looks like it is closed. read more
