Enjoyed our lunch here! We got the sushi and sashimi platter and a few specialty rolls. We also got miso soup with them. We really enjoyed them all though my partner did say that the rice with his sashimi was a little dry. They also mixed up our order and gave us the wrong roll (a rainbow roll when we had ordered a different type). We didn't realize it until after we had eaten half of it and when we brought it up they apologized but didn't offer to fix it which was okay, we didn't ask them to. despite those couple of things I'd definitely come back.

Sushi Today Bento Box (2 gyoza, scoop of rice, Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, side salad, S.a.c Roll) and a negitoro roll.

Ordered take out: Sushi Today Bento Box (2 gyoza, scoop of rice, Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, side salad, S.a.c Roll) and a negitoro roll. Overall okay, everything here was cheaper than ordering similar items from nearby sushi restaurants (eg trappers, miyabi, sushi daruma ya). What I liked is that for the bento you could choose the SAC (salmon avocado cucumber) roll in place of an item. Everything was okay-good, if that makes sense. Because it was takeout, i think it ends up being a little pricier vs eating in. I recommend this spot for eating in, not take out. Also, in place of the gyoza, I would have preferred a second scoop of rice as the ratio of meat:rice is off.

Great place for both sushi and Teriyaki. They have some unique and fun rolls. Great service. I like the sitting area in front of the sushi bar. Clean and nicely decorated interior. Good place to stop for takeout on the way home from work.

Great place that takes their sushi seriously as an art. We frequented this place and weee regulars when it first opened. The pandemic was difficult on businesses like this and as things started opening back up the original owners sold the business. The menu basically remained but small changes in service kind of turned us away. Still the sushi is quality and very fresh and I regard them as a great place to go. If you're ever in the IKEA area you should definitely give Sushi Today a try. My overall rating for quality is an 8 of 10

Had a wonderful time at Sushi today.. the other day and forgot to write about it lol. We all got the 12 piece omakase for $40 and thought it was yummy. Reminded of our travels for NYC Omakase. We also loved their roll selection and calamari. This place is clean/newly renovated and trying hard on every aspect of service and menu creation!!!! Can't wait to come back!!

Holy Smokes! Sushi today was DELICIOUS. Edamame was fresh and perfectly salty. Singapore Mafia was a balance of fresh and flavor. Service was sweet and kind with also the right amount of checking in. The restaurant itself is clean, well decorated and has the cutest fish design on the walls. Anytime I fly out of SEATAC I am stopping by. Thank you Sushi Today!

FANTASTIC! I had a Bento box yesterday and loved it. Decided to order an In and Out roll and their great house side salad.... excellent. One of the best sushi restaurants I have eaten at.

Really enjoyed this place! We were seated right away and got waters as soon as we sat down. It honestly took us forever to order because everything sounded so good I forgot to take a picture of the "Heart Attack," but it was sooo tasty. The noodles were incredible!! I usually don't even like cooked shrimp, but they made it perfectly The rolls were delicious too! Great service and great food ,definitely coming back!

The sushi was amazing I had the crunch roll and a deep fried one. We also ordered calamari it was amazing very tasty food and the service was awesome! The server was very friendly and had good recs. I will be back

Best. Sushi. Ever! Great quality too. I've been coming here for years and am never disappointed. The kalbi short ribs is so good too. Thank you sushi today team

The atmosphere is top notch! The music, the vibe! It's really nice. Whether solo or on date night. I pulled out my Shazam app, so that should tell you something. I'm giving the place 5 stars for the overall package! I ordered the fried calamari and a hot tea for starters. I didn't like either. The calamari was far too thickly cut, didn't have enough batter, and was hard to chew down. The tea just had a bad taste, and I drink all kinds. I even enjoy flavorless teas. Service was quick, waiter was attentive! For sushi, I ordered the In & Out (the one w/the on top) and the Volcano (flat one with drizzle on top). The In & Out was BOMB! It was perfect honestly. The volcano was okay, I liked it at first because it was warm. But the tempura outside of the casing was mushy on the inside. All in all though, I'd go back if I'm ever here again!

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

I'm looking forward to coming back and try one of their burgers with chicken Katsu and also pork Katsu in the near future, but I had to go with the original beef patty on the first visit. Service was great. I was greeted quickly and provided with some suggestions after I mentioned it was my first visit here. Their menu is unique so that type of help is appreciated. I made mine a meal and got it with fries and you can choose from four different types of seasoning for your fries or get them plain. I got mine with the furikake seasoning which was nice and added that umami flavor profile perfectly. You also get to choose dipping sauce and I went with more Katsu sauce, but they have five or six others that looked good. I chose a lychee oolong tea in a bottle from the cooler as my meal drink, but you could also get a fountain drink or upgrade to a milkshake if you prefer All in all, this is a really really cool creative twist on classic burger spot. But for those in the know, Triumph Valley is really known for their dim sum menu! Off the beaten path, you have to take State Highway 167, as its just south of the large IKEA store. But definitely a culinary landmark if you are a constant diner of Chinese cuisine, and dim sum afficianado. There are only three dim sum, or dumpling lunch providers in or around the City of Renton (technically two). This is one of them, and if you are not early, it can get really crowded, especially on weekends. But the staff bravely soldiers-on with their dilligent service. The restaurant's ambiance takes advantage of its interior with strategic lighting in their dining hall. Very utilitarian, while trying to ensure a little bit of style. They also modernize the experience with electronic waiting and ordering system on portable touch screens. It actually helps the service. No paper. As for me, my focus is on the dim sum. All of my favorites are there. And, as diner of one, it was hard not to want to order everything. So, I ordered the "basics" of a dim sum lunch. One order of Shiu Mai, one order of Har Gow, and one order steamed BBQ Pork. It was pretty much all you need along with an order of tea, as well as a Diet Coke to wash it all down. There were other traditional dim sum selections, but I knew my tummy (and wallet) wouldn't absorb it all - as much as I would have liked. Steamed beancurd sheets, beef meatballs, steamed sticky rice in banana leaves... chicken feet, it was all there. The best way is to make a plan, and invite lots of freinds to make sure you can try EVERYTHING! Yes, there are other menu items, like I said, but for Dim Sum dining in Renton, this is the place!!!!
