As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted kindly by the staff and quickly seated. It was a very nice and intimate setting. The music wasn't too loud and the space was very clean. Now for the good part, the food was delicious! We had the tempura appetizer and it was the perfect amount for 2 people. The selection of the tempura was very nice. I also ordered a roll that had raw spicy tuna. The tuna was fresh and nicely seasoned with a hint of sesame oil. Would highly recommend the red octopus roll. Ps. Excellent food and service today, found this place via Yelp (of course) while working in the area. Service is quick, friendly and efficient. Restaurant is clean, open, and the atmosphere is chill. I ordered from the "special" menu that is posted on the wall behind the counter. I had the hamachi jalapeño $16 and the crispy rice roll $16. Both were excellent and well worth the price. Sushi Today will be and has been my #1 sushi place for the past several years! I don't think I've ever had a terrible roll here and I seriously feel like you pay for the quality here. If I were to give recommendations then it will be the Dragon Roll and the Playboy. I cannot order from here without ordering one or the other or else I'll feel like I missed out. Sushi today puts THE LARGEST and THICCEST slices of tuna on the playboy out of anywhere else I've ever been and that's what I love about them. The Dragon Roll is full of flavor and the eel taste so fresh and amazing plus it's quite large. Personally I order 3 rolls each time just for variety and it's the perfect amount for me. Still my favorite place ever to get sushi. Right down the hill from my house. I wish they were open 7 days a week but everyone needs a day off! Food is excellent and servers are super kind. They get busy, so service can be a little slow. I definitely recommend showing up earlier on busy nights to snag your table. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is super solid. Interior is clean, open and has ample seating. Service is friendly without being too much or overbearing. Food is super tasty and nothing tasted bad. Freshness exceeded some other spots I had been to recently...in terms of the standards (always judge a place by the cali roll), it was one of the better ones I've had. Vegas roll had super tender salmon tempura. Negihama could have done with more green onion but fish to rice ratio was good. Partner for salmon sashimi and otoro and said they were good. I travel for work occasionally (pre-covid times), and this was one of my favorite spots on my way to and from the airport. I'm from SoCal, and I firmly believe that Washington has better fresh seafood. Whenever I'm in the area, I love trying local sushi spots - this place is a gem! This mom and pop restaurant is almost on the same tier as some of the fancier sushi restaurants here (Japonessa Downtown Seattle) in terms of fish quality, but without the lines and for a fraction of the price! (Side note: Japonessa had one of best sushi sampler platters I've ever had - comparable to LA's Sugar Fish - but significantly cheaper.) Conveniently close-by the SeaTac airport, I throughly enjoyed a Chirashi bowl here. The fish was cut into thick pieces, tasted extremely fresh (the salmon especially was buttery, yellow tail was great too, tuna was good but not as fresh as the other two) and the portions were great! Prices for the speciality rolls range from $13 to $18. The speciality rolls are better so far as flavor and more bang for your buck. They are larger than the standard size sushi. I have tried a few but it's really your preference. Surprisingly I don't usually like sushi I am very very picky. My favorites though are crunch crunch which had crispy things on top and rice exterior. The bags roll is great it is larger and has rice exterior also. During lunch it can be packed but I came at night on a Thursday so no one was really here. They recently remodeled and the tables are nice as well as the counters. read more

We also got salad and the dressing is so good! As for parking, it's part of a plaza that has parking available. The prices are also very reasonable. The staff wore mask and kept a distance for precaution. They also were very good about making sure to get empty dishes off our table during the entirety of our dinner.
