I was craving sushi and this place came to mind, so I hopped in the car and came on over. They have an extensive menu with prices all over the map. I opted for the veggie tempura and the caterpillar roll. The tempura was just okay. Not particularly delicious or bland, somewhere in the middle. The caterpillar roll (California roll with avocado on top) was great. Some eel sauce on top would have been a nice touch, but the roll was quite fresh and tasty as is. I was disappointed that they use primarily disposable environmentally unfriendly plastic and styrofoam plates and bowls when you eat in. Seating area is limited and can get noisy with kids, but it was overall clean and comfortable. Service was efficient and a somewhat friendly. In all a solid choice and I'm looking forward to trying more rolls. read more

I haven't been back to this location in a while. They had a Waterford lakes location open a while back but unfortunately it closed. This specific location has very limited and I mean VERY LIMITED seating. They use to have outside seating but I don't know why they got rid of it. Now this location only seats three tables (2 tables that seats four people and 1 table that seats two). My boyfriend and I had to wait in our car a while for other customers to finish dining to be able to snag seating. Take out is definitely the way to go. We contemplated ordering take out and eating in our car lol. The quality of sushi is not the most extravagant sushi I've ever had but it is definitely made to order. The prices are very reasonable, however, I found that these were not rolled the best. The rice fell apart, I like my sushi rolled tightly because I hate when you take a piece and dip it into the soy sauce and it falls apart in the saucer. The megabite includes 37 pieces of sushi for $34.00. It includes a California roll, salmon California roll, salmon and cream cheese, eel California, and shrimp tempura roll. Pretty generic rolls but the sushi rice is great. I didn't have enough room to order the fried cheesecake but I've had it in the past and I highly recommend the fried cheesecake. This is a very small establishment with only about 3-4 tables and a feeling of a look and feel of a "fast-food joint". I started with the Takoyaki (dumplings with octopus). They are lightly fried with a golden brown shell, but maintaining a very soft inside. The octopus inside, however, was only one little piece, barely enough to taste it. It needed a little more meat. however, the interesting part of this dish is the salmon skin on top. I've never had it before and the texture is in its own category. It immediately melts and shrivels up in your mouth, similar to the texture of cotton candy, but not the same flavor. Onto the bonito half roll and escolar nigiri (white tuna). Different from other places, you can order half rolls give you an option of going cheaper and just for a snack. The brown rice has that nice earthy graininess to the roll. The white tuna was fresh, nicely cut, and a smooth flavor. I thought the dispensers for soy sauce was creative, old coffee containers. It's a creative usage of materials. read more

So I chose to eat at this little sushi joint based on its reviews. Bad decision. My bf and I ordered the Tekka Don (tuna) and Shake Don (salmon) bowls and a Negihama Maki (yellowtail) roll. The tuna and salmon in our bowls may have been the smallest, thinnest pieces of fish we've ever had. It was hard to tell if the fish were fresh because you could barely taste the flavor on such a thin slice. The rice was way too heavy on the vinegar so it may have contributed to the flavoring. If I had a ruler, the pieces would be no more than 0.5 cm thick. I was also disappointed with the yellowtail roll since the fish in the roll did not have the coloring nor taste of yellowtail. This food is not cheap since they skimp you on the fish. I have yet to try other sushi places in Orlando so maybe my standards are too high? This place is definitely for tourists who haven't had good sushi or regulars who don't know what good sushi is. I gave an extra star because I really liked the hot green tea, the place was clean (but the toilet needs a little work with the flushing), and service was good. For a fast food sushi place, I've definitely had better elsewhere. read more

They have a wide selection of sushi, a few deep fried desserts (that I haven't had the pleasure of trying.... yet) and a few appetizer items. My husband and i ordered: Gyoza, Shrimp Shumai, Miso, Eel roll and rice. The food was fresh, well prepared and came out quickly. I'm impressed! The food was also really good. Honestly, the price point and the atmosphere probably has a lot to do with how much sushi is nowadays, Sushiology, which i found through yelp sounded like a small hole in the wall type of place, which it kinda is. It was smaller than expected, and there's literally 2 tables inside, and 3 outside...that seats 2... the menu is great for a small place like this, most of the space is used for the counter and behind the scenes, which you can see. The food choices are simple, cheap, (think happy hour prices) and a eel donburi rice bowl is NOT 17$ like the other place we went to dinner and it was delicious with lots of rice. We also got the nigiri, 6 pieces of salmon which is on top of rice, it was more "thin" sliced salmon than i am used to, but it was pretty decent tasting. The eel rolls "makis" are small, but if you put all that food together you won't be hungry. Sapporo bottles are 3.50 each i believe... and if you want like an extra container of sauce it's 0.50 cents each. I'd totally drop by if i was in that area, it's a bit hard to find though. I love this place. You really have to be in the right mindset to appreciate the greatness of this place. First, don't expect fancy schmancy ambiance. Second, be casual. It's in a little strip mall that's easy to miss, but you definitely won't want to! It's a small place with only about three tables, so it's better suited for a quick lunch or takeout.
