I went to this bakery for a Cinnabon because I kept seeing people ranting and raving about it on TikTok. When I saw it, it wasn't really giving Cinnabon.. it was giving sticky bread. I still gave it a chance. It was okay, but it didn't have enough cinnamon for me. It reminded me of a Little Debbie honey bun warmed up with heavy cream. I was looking for a thick, gooey, soft center Cinnabon moment, and it just wasn't that. I took two or three bites and passed on it. We also got the marble coffee cake, the cashier recommended it, and he did his big one because it was excellent. We got cinnamon crisps too, and those were super good kind of churro like but crispier, almost like a tortilla chip but not really. Delicious though. We grabbed snickerdoodle cookies, but they weren't giving snickerdoodle, more like sugar cookies. Good, just not snickerdoodle. There were so many dessert options that it took us about 15 minutes to decide. I probably should've gotten the lemon cake or carrot cake instead of the Cinnabon. If I go back, I'm definitely trying a cake. But if you have a sweet tooth, they have tons of options and indoor seating, which is nice.

I love this place . Great place for desserts ! They have the best cinnamon rolls you can icing and nuts . They have big selection of cakes , cupcakes and pastries too . I try to always go when I'm in town.

Why are their desserts so addicting. Good for them, bad for me. The famous saying, A Moment On Your Lips, A Lifetime On Your Hips...lol... It's alway a must when I'm down in Belmont Shores. A long time staples in town. I remember walking the strip when I used to lived down here and the sweet smell of their fresh baked cinnamon rolls would linger as you walk by or even from across the street. Just walking in, the sweet aroma of cookies, cakes and fresh baked sweets invites you in. I also found out earlier that there's a location in seal beach. I tend to alway stop at this place. Their crumble cakes and cinnamon rolls are the best. It's an additional fee if you want the glaze which I think is kind of odd. Just add it to the cost and call it a day...lol... The glass displayed are filled with rows and row of sweet. Whatever cakes you crave or not crave, I'm sure will tempt you. Even walking by, the window displays tends to alway have some tray filled with fresh baked items. It is cash only so be prepared. I think there's an atm inside if needed. Some tables are available along the inside as well as some benches literally right out front. I tend to take things to go but majority of time it ends up getting enjoyed right outside.

CASH ONLY!! Remember this when you walk in unless you want to head over to the ATM inside. Bring cash. I came on a tuesday evening so not packed and parking out front. Soo many good stuff here! I got the carret cupcake for $6. Ok taste but i had better, the icing was my favorite part. Customer service was good. They are open late until 10pm and the weekends until 12am. My sister told me she wanted to go to Sweet Jill's Bakery for thier cinnamon rolls. After going to the strawberry festival we headed on over to long beach as we did not have anything sweet yet. Parking is kinda tough. You must drive around and find parking and hope someone is leaving a close parking spot rather than 2 blocks away. Which happened to us we found parking in a residential neighborhood and walked to Sweet Jill's Bakery. As we walk inside I read a sign that said "Cash Only" Boy I was lucky they had an amt since I was carrying just a card. There were a few customers in front of me and my friends. We were drawn into everything that was displayed. Such a huge variety of sweets to choose from other than the cinnamon rolls we originally came to get. I ended up getting a oreo cheesecake, strawberry parfait, 2 peanut butter and two chocolate chips cookies, bread pudding. I got something for everyone. My cheesecake was delicious I devoured it did not save a bite lol. Portion size was huge so worth the calories and money. Bathrooms available Atm available

Not sure why I never left a review years ago when I first tried this place back around 2010, but Sweet Jill's has always been a go to spot whenever I'm in Long Beach. I just came by again recently and figured it was finally time. The brownies are still amazing, the service is great, and everything is quick and easy. It's one of those reliable spots that hasn't changed, in a good way. Still just as solid as it was back in 2010.

What is this half of cinnamon roll. Sent my daughter in and this is what they gave. But charged full price.

The quality and presentation has went down. It's a half of a roll for full price. I went out my way to come and this is wild. Won't be back.

Hands down best cinnamon rolls in LA. Ordered an after dinner cinnamon roll to satisfy my sweets craving. Love that they still bake cinnamon rolls later in the evening, so everything is fresh and warm. Had the right amount of icing on top and generous with the nuts. Had many a cinnamon roll in my time - but I always go back to the traditional, simple but tried and true stuff here. The place is pretty no frills, so seating isn't fancy. But definitely recommend!

Sweet Jill's is not the same, unfortunately. They've been around forever but the quality and service aren't great. The pastries are overpriced, too sweet, lack of quality and they only take cash now. There's always some drama coming and going through doors. The last couple times, there was a homeless person leaving behind bio, and another time ladies fighting. Every now and then I get a craving to come back and try something but it's just going down hill. The workers also seem so miserable, overworked and tired.

Oh Sweet Jill's, I think I nearly overdid it with the sugar here. They definitely live up to their name because everything here is sweet as hell! We stopped by for a post-dinner sweet treat. Be warned that it is pretty tiny in here and the line can get long and that is it CASH ONLY. I really had a hard time choosing here as the delightful desserts options are really endless. By the time I got to the end of the counter I had picked out a handful sweets I wanted but my stomach only had room for one (barely) so I settled on the German chocolate cake, a nostalgic favorite of mine that I hadn't had in quite some time. This easily could have made for 3 or even 4 desserts. Just a few bites in and that sweetness was almost a little too much. I ended up taking most of it to go. We were able to find a table to sit and eat for a few minutes but it wasn't really comfortable because of how cramped it is in here, I would recommend taking your sweets to go.

This is a great little bakery with plenty of baked goods to choose from. Judging by the steady stream of customers, everything must be good. That said, the only reason we come here is for the cinnamon roll (no nuts) with icing. It hits all the spots , warm, sweet, soft, buttery, sticky, and absolutely delicious. I can personally only eat half, so my wife and I always split one. It's a small place with just a few tables inside. Sometimes there's a line, but it moves pretty quickly. One thing to note: they only accept cash, and the icing for the cinnamon rolls costs an extra 50 cents.

I just ordered a red velvet cake for my girlfriends birthday and it was so rich, flavorful, amazing consistency, just overall delicious! Best red velvet I've tasted in years. I also got a carrot cake cupcake and that was so yummy too. The coconut flakes and flavors were so good. Service was quick and easy and my order was ready when I got there. Such a vibe!

What I Ordered: -Cinnamon Roll I asked for recommendations, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They suggested most people order the cinnamon rolls without nuts, but it's up to your preference. I went without nuts, as they suggested, and added frosting for an extra $0.50. The cinnamon roll was good, but it was a little too sweet for my liking, even though I do enjoy sweets. The cinnamon roll is great; it's nice, moist, and soft. I would have preferred sharing it, but my wife doesn't like cinnamon rolls. I would be happy to try other items at Sweet Jill's if we ever return to Long Beach. FYI, they are cash-only, but there's an ATM inside.

Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

Located in the quaint Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, street parking was plentiful right outside the restaurant. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!
