I think this place is mostly for drunk college kids but it's nice that's open late and there's a huge variety of pastries to choose from. We got a cinnamon roll which I read is what they're known for and a slice of carrot cake. The carrot cake tasted just like the cinnamon roll which is super weird and didn't taste like carrot at all. This place had been on my list for a long time but I accidentally stumbled upon it because I was going thrifting nearby. I walked by and immediately was drawn because of how good it smelled! The guy who took our order was super patient because we were so indecisive. They had a huge selection and everything looked so good, but we ended up going with a cinnamon roll (DUHHH) with walnuts and two chocolate chip cookies. They were all freaking ginormous!! I always get scared when a place doesn't have prices listed because they tend to overcharge, but everything here was so cheap and those three things were only $10! They had some seating inside so we tried everything there. The cinnamon roll was good and really sweet. I thought they were a little too dense for me but it still tasted fresh! The cookie was also good but we wished it was warmer. The guy had heated it up but it was so large that only some parts were warm and the rest was a little stiff. Sweet Jill's is soooo good. I recommend getting a cinnamon rolls. They are super fresh and also massive. They come with no frosting but if you ask for the frosting, they will add it. Mixed reviews here but mostly good. I've had some pretty dry cinnamon rolls, which was disappointing. I think their icing is way too sweet. Some of their cakes are pretty good though. They're cinnamon swirl is a little bland unless you get an actual swirl it's more like vanilla cake. They're blueberry almond with yummy. The palmier was just OK. Would keep coming back read more

We were just walking around Belmont shore doing some bar hopping when we stumbled upon Sweet Jill's. It's soooo rare for a bakery to be open until MIDNIGHT so I was shocked by this to start! There were a few couples in line who are locals and they recommended the cinnamon bun. We also ordered the German chocolate cake , churro cheesecake & pumpkin muffin. OKKKKK. So the cinnamon bun WAS A 10000 out of 10 recommend have to get it. Best cinnamon roll of my life it was insanely delicious I can't even describe it it was so good. I also loved the pumpkin muffin (which was recommended by one of the employees) my third favorite was the German chocolate cake. It was very delicious but very sweet and rich. I didn't love the churro cheesecake but my cousin loved it. Def worth a stop. It's such a cute spot and they have an insane variety of desserts. You can literally smell Sweet Jill's Bakery before you even see it. Walking down 2nd Street, the sweet sugary maple aroma completely pulled us in. We were actually on our way to sushi, but the smell alone convinced us to come back after -- and we did. I asked for their famous cinnamon rolls and was asked if I wanted them with or without nuts. I went with without nuts and extra icing on top, and we also ordered a slice of carrot cake. The carrot cake was really good -- super moist, very sweet, and full of little shredded carrot pieces that gave it great texture and flavor. That one I definitely enjoyed. The cinnamon roll, however, wasn't for me. It had a very strong maple syrup flavor, which I wasn't expecting at all. I was hoping for more of a classic cinnamon-and-sugar taste, but it leaned heavily into maple and was extremely sweet. I personally don't love maple, so it just wasn't my thing -- though I can see how maple lovers might enjoy it. One thing that felt a little odd: when we went to pay, we were told it was cash only, but there was no sign posted. When we said we didn't have cash, the cashier pulled out a tap-to-pay machine anyway .., so that part felt a bit confusing. Overall, the smell and charm definitely draw you in, and the carrot cake was a win -- but the cinnamon roll wasn't my favorite. April 14th 7:30pm I went in to purchase a cinnamon roll with 2 coffees. One for my wife and one for myself. The employee behind the counter by the name of Gail said there was only enough coffee for one cup. He said the owner doesn't want to waste coffee so he can't brew anymore coffee. This was our 3rd time there and I had a great experience with another employee who gladly made more coffee around the same time in the evening. I will have to find out his name since he does know what great customer service is. Who ever is the owner of this bakery, please do a better job and teach all your employees what great customer service is. We left without buying anything since we were disappointed by the service. I always have thought Jill's baked items were always good-which they are! Unfortunately, what causes me to write a review here is the horrible customer service. There's the same male worker there that is constantly angry and sassy. Warning to anyone that does want to come here, make sure you know what you want because this guy won't allow you to look at the glass of the baked goods (there's A LOT of choices) because he is so angry that there's a line so he then yells at your party to move up and to run to the cash register to pay for whatever you are picturing in your mind (since he didn't let you look at the delicious baked goods in the window). I feel bad for this worker if he just isn't happy with his job there or just dreads seeing the wave of customers in the store and getting busy (wouldn't you want business?) but the baked goods taste great and he should be happy to work at Jill's delicious bakery!
