We were excited to try this restaurant after reading so many 5 star reviews. We were all three happy with our experience. The menu is called American but I did not know some of the items listed. For example I had never heard of moche waffles. I had a small portion and found them too heavy and chewy (but that may be how they are supposed to be!) Their fruit compote dressing is delicious but not quite adequate to cover the waffle. This waffle really needs the fruit. The spinach scramble with a side of perfectly roasted potatoes and vegetables is certainly a delight to the palate , satisfying and ample. The coffee drinks are outstanding. The waiter will refill your cup so none of the froth is wasted. The restaurant is tastefully decorated but sadly, attention was not given to sound abatement. The noise level detracts from the experience. We will be sure to eat outdoors next time. Call and check that they are serving outside. We arrived at 10:25 so we were able to park in the small lot and we were seated immediately. The third member of our party arrived 15 minutes later and had to park quite a distance down the street. Today we had the Ube Latte, Avocado Croffle, and Marnier, all of which were delicious! The avocado Croffle was incredibly delicious and a unique blended take on Croffle + Avocado Toast - I'd highly recommend! Not much parking and huge line out the door, but the line moves fast. We were 14th in line and I think we waited about 20 minutes to sit. Millionaire's Bacon is the obligatory novelty item, but we actually really enjoyed it. I think we'll order this every time. The Chicken and Croffle was also really good, though we didn't seem to get any candied nuts. Sweet Maple has some inventive twists on classic brunch fare that make it worth a visit. I went on Saturday late morning for an early lunch, and the wait wasn't terribly long, just under 20 minutes. We ordered two cocktails to go with our lunch. I started with the SM Old Fashioned, a soju-infused whiskey cocktail. The whiskey flavor was subtle, letting the drink stay smooth and balanced, without being too spirit-forward. The heavy orange flavor, coming from the orange slice and maraschino cherry, made it refreshing--more citrusy than a traditional Old Fashioned, but tasty and relatively mild in its own right. The Espresso Shakerato, made with rum, was another delicious drink we ordered. It had the richness of sweet coffee, with just a hint of rum. Perfectly balanced if you want something a little different for brunch/lunch cocktails. I ordered the Sweet Maple Scramble because it came with the famous Millionaire Bacon. The eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked, with a hint of what I think might have been cayenne pepper for a little extra kick. The veggies were fresh and vibrant--definitely the stars of the dish. As for the Millionaire Bacon, it was definitely delicious--thick bacon pieces cooked with sugar on the outside--balancing both sweet and savory. My partner ordered the Chicken n Croffle, which combined crispy double-fried chicken with a decadent croffle and sweet and spicy maple syrup. The chicken was a tad dry on its own but tasted amazing when paired with the syrup and croffle. The Southeast Asian-inspired seasoning added a hint of sweetness and a mild kick that rounded out the flavors nicely. Inside, the restaurant had a chic vibe and was decorated lightly for Halloween. Came here for Mother's Day brunch and it was definitely busy! The wait for our group of 9 was over an hour, but thankfully my sister in law got there earlier to put our names down on the list! The parking lot isn't huge so we ended up parking in the residential area. The food was yummy & "Instagram worthy!" The portions are on the bigger side, which is a plus! I had the chicken croffle and the flavor was perfect, even without adding the syrup that comes with it. My husband had the loco moco and although it was on the spicier side for me, he liked it! Customer service there is top notch! Our water cups were always refilled in a timely manner and our waitress (forgot to get her name) went above and beyond for our second born son who has tons of allergies & wanted a bowl of strawberries. She went to the kitchen herself, got the strawberries, & rinsed them just for him- and this was done without me asking her to! I came with friends on a Friday morning around 11 am. It was a busy morning. It's a no reservation-first come first service restaurant. We waited for about 20 minutes to be seated. I noticed that there were many people and it felt warm even though the AC seemed to be on. I ordered the Farm Fresh Eggs Plate served with Brussels potato medley, ciabatta au levain toast with two eggs, and Millionaire's bacon. I also ordered an iced Chai Tai Latte. My boyfriend ordered the One Percenter Burger, which comes with millionaire's bacon and fried egg. He mentioned it was a heavy burger and wasn't able to finish it. I can never turn down a good brunch! I've been to their Palo Alto location but it was my first time at this one. Parking here can be sparse the busier it gets. Luckily we came on a weekday and were able to find parking and get seated quickly. Parking was filled when we were leaving though. Lots of good options from savory to sweet. The waffles are always delicious. Tried the loco moco and the portions were generous. I think the quality holds up between both locations. Disappointing to state that I was not even impressed with their Loco Moco, a Hawaiian specialty with a fried burger patty with a fried egg on top, all on a bed of rice, smothered in gravy. Though it looked like a Loco Moco, the similarity ends there. Cute brunch spot with a very aesthetic interior! Make sure to come early because it gets very busy especially on the weekends, so plan accordingly. Parking is also VERY limited. They have a small parking lot that can fill up quick. Either arrive early to get a spot, or prepare to walk a block or two after finding street parking. Service was fast and our server was so sweet! It did take a bit to get their attention for a box + the check once we were finished with our meal, but as mentioned it was very busy so we didn't mind all too much. The service made up for it! Okay wow, just wow. This was one of the better meals I have had in a while, in that every single thing we got was fantastic. We got the butter fried corn, bacon sampler, blueberry mochi waffles, and the Hemingway (smoked salmon) eggs Benedict. First of all, the Brussels potato medley is probably the best breakfast potatoes ive ever had, they're crisp on the outside and like mashed potatoes on the inside. The corn had so much deep rich toasted flavor, we absolutely loved it. Every flavor of the bacon sampler had us wanting more, the bacon was thickly cut and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mochi waffle was also incredible, I was a bit apprehensive about it being blueberry flavored which tends to overpower but the blueberries here were not that sickly sweet compote as normal, just kind of blistered in a lightly sweet sauce that tasted like real blueberries. And the mochi flavor still was able to come through in the waffle, which is a flavor I really like, not to mention the texture of the waffle was crisp, chewy, and a little doughy just how I would want a mochi waffle to be. The Hemingway Benedict was delicious, with the cucumber and wasabi hollandaise it almost reminded us of sushi. If you live in the Bay Area, you may have passed by this place around brunch time and see a huge line of people, especially so if it's a weekend. The crowd is well deserved, as I consider this the best brunch place in the bay. Parking is very difficult. The restaurants parking is very small and the other nearby restaurants do not allow you to park there. You'll most likely have to go around the local neighborhood and find some street parking. If you want to avoid a long wait, plan to come on a weekday. The lines on a weekend I've seen to sometimes reach around 1 - 2 hours wait. You join the waitlist with a small tablet in front of the restaurant. You can also choose between indoor and outdoor seating, where outdoor seating may have a shorter wait time. This place is also best experienced with a friend or a small group! A must order for a first timer is the Millionaire's Bacon Platter, which comes with 4 different flavors of their special bacon: original, rosemary, cinnamon, and citrus. My personal favorites are the rosemary and the original. If you're looking for something on the lighter side, I'd recommend getting one of their egg dishes. I like getting a Benedict, specifically the Hemingway Benedict.it comes with 2 large Benedict's with smoked salmon and wasabi hollandaise (don't worry it's not spicy). It also comes with potatoes and some veggies. The Benedict is delicious! The wasabi hollandaise pairs well with the smoked salmon, even better if you get in with some of the egg yolk too. There was a fan going in certain areas, but in other areas, it was just really really warm. So when you're also eating warm foods, it got quite toasty (no pun intended). The staff was nice, the decor was pretty, the food was good, you just have to add yourself to the waitlist. If you go around the building and wait on the side, there's more shade than the main waiting area! Parking can also get a little tough, but apparently a lot of people left after I had circled it so I just happened to miss out on the parking in the lot. [tl;dr Quick seating, quick service; food was yummy and well seasoned overall but did not taste spice on dishes that should've had it, drinks were tasty - good experience overall - why so much rosemary?] Came on a Sunday with a friend @ around 1:30. Didn't wait too long, maybe about 15 minutes. The building reminds me of a beach shack with a nice open patio. We were seated outside on a warm day and lucky there was a breeze. I got the Tornado Kalbi Omurice and ube latte while my friend got the Chicken Croffle and matcha latte (asked for regular milk). The food came out quick for a busy restaurant; those guys in the back work pretty hard. [tl;dr really solid omurice when eaten together, but kalbi and gravy are sweet by itself] I was expecting the omurice have a small spice kick to it (as there was a spice pepper next to it on the menu) but there was none. This is not a typically prepared omurice you'd find at Japan but still presented nicely. The scrambled egg was cooked perfectly- solid bottom with a barely wet top and was presented with a swirl (see photo). The kalbi with it was sweeter than I am usually used to and I noticed that the gravy itself is very sweet so properly portioning it with the rest of the food really balances out the flavor. The ube latte good, I requested light whipped cream but they gave me a full portion. I can taste the ube flavor but once the whipped cream was mixed in there it was like another milkshake. I rather skip the cream altogether. No coconut flavor in it thank goodness. [tl;dr chicken is good but lacks flavor by itself, croffle was a hit too chewy in the middle] I had a taste of my friend's chicken and croffle with the "spicy" syrup. Chicken was moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside but lack flavor. When I tried it with the spicy honey maple syrup, there was like a speck of what I think was spice. The corffle was a surprise to me. It was crunchy then chewy but when I got another bite it was too chewy. It was first time with it so I had no idea what to expect. Lastly, we shared a Millionaire's Candy and I thought it was good but nothing special. Though I will say it's not overwhelmingly sugary like other places do it. I'd compare it to Dunkin's seasonal sweet maple bacon, it is more cost effective to buy that if don't care for actual bacon. Paid like $80 before tip. Overall, the place was good and I was nicely content with the amount of food I ate. I did find it kinda weird how almost everything was garnished with a rosemary twig. You can't eat it by itself because it's bitter so it's just in the way. With other garnishes, at least you can eat it. read more

MILLIONAIRES BACON SAMPLER - it's bacon so obviously it's good. FRANCIS SKILLET - this was a huge disappointment. The eggs had no flavor and the crumbled sausage on top was just odd. I ordered a side of hollandaise sauce which helped a bit. We really liked the medley of potatoes and Brussels that came with this. CHICKEN CROFFLE - my daughter liked this but I wasn't a fan. They use chicken thighs so the pieces were juicy and the breading was super crispy but it had no flavor like it needed salt. The Croffle (smooshed croissant) was greasy. However the fruit that came with it was really good. SERVICE - we were seated quickly and our server brought us waters and took our order. That was the last time we saw her. Literally, she vanished into thin air after that. No one refilled my water or asked if everything was okay. My daughter wanted to order her BF something to take home so we had to flag down a server from another area. He even brought us our bill as well. We came for a weekend brunch and had a great time! Upon arriving at the restaurant, parking was a bit of a struggle since they have a smaller lot. I was a bit worried about the potential wait since it looked booked and busy on a Sunday morning! I ordered takeout today and got a message saying my order was ready for pickup, so I came to get it. When I asked at the counter, I was told it wasn't ready yet. I explained that I had already received the notification, and she said they were still packing it. I waited right in front of the counter, but no one called my name or gave me an update. My visit to Sweet maple today was just for a causal brunch with my girl. My first initial impressions of the joint was extremely positive. The dining room was clean, the decorations, and mood were really nice. I was immediately greeted by the hosts and they were quick too! I waited around 15 mins max. The server with the amazing hat was very attentive during our whole visit. I ordered the - Millionaire's Scramble - Thai Tea Toast - Chicken Sandwich - Millionaire Bacon Sampler - Matcha Paradise The best part of my meal was definitely the deep fried potatoes and asparagus. It paired perfectly with the eggs and the tasty bacon was to die for. The marinade used for the millionaire bacon was sweet with a nice savory profile. The Matcha paradise drink was a nice coconut matcha fusion with nice toasted coconuts on top. The Thai tea toast was definitely the best dessert to end it off with the fluffy Thai tea crème. You will not feel good about yourself for the rest of the day and won't be able to eat your feelings again until tomorrow.
