I tried this for the first time. I didn't know salads were $16 or $17. They give you a lot but it's salad so you get bored after eating it for a while, but for a salad, it does taste good, so there's that. You also get hungry after 2 hours because all you ate was a salad, so there's that too. But it is a good salad and it's really big. I had an autumn Caesar. Service is good. Ambiance is big. I need to eat healthier so I guess I'll eat more salads and try more things here, even though I don't think I'll ever feel completely satisfied eating a salad. read more

Such an easy experience meeting my friend Vicki for a Saturday evening healthy dinner. We were able to take advantage of the free parking in the lot, and has the place to ourselves by 7pm on June 1st. The ambiance is modern hip. There are plugs at every table for working yay! If I could leave no stars, I would. We have been coming to Sweetgreen for a while, and we always order the same bowls (Harvest Bowl) We encountered the manager, JAY, who was preparing our food with aggression and irritation. That's not customer service or hospitality, no matter what your title is. Being a manager doesn't give you permission to treat customers rudely. She showed a low standard of hospitality. Jay was unprofessional and childish. When we told her she was responding disrespectfully, she didn't take any responsibility and continued acting the same way. It shows a lack of accountability, and her confidence seems to come from her title. We also told Jay that consistency is important, as she was charging us for every topping we had never been charged before. Jay didn't set a positive example for her subordinates or customers. I know Sweetgreen take pride in great customer service, providing respect and gold standard hospitality for every customer. Jay is not reflecting these values. Please take a closer look at your employees. It may be turning customers away. I know how it is to have customer retention. My feedback is to provide coaching or promote another manager who values the customer and company. read more

My mom whom has high blood pressure, and I visited sweet greens in hope that there would be some non seasoned options. She wanted Quinoa as a base, unfortunately the Quinoa is seasoned. My mom decided to ask Jay if they could make a batch of Quinoa unseasoned, explaining her health conditions. Trust me when I say we have been to MANY restaurants, 5 star restaurants and convenient options such as sweet green and there are rarely anyone who is willing to go the extra mile to make a customer smile, and most importantly, help them to remain healthy. At sit down restaurants, never do I order a salad as an entree. Paying a tip to be hungry hours later is not worth it to me. But counter style Sweetgreen equals healthy eating with a very happy tummy and wallet. It's like the salad version of Mendocino Farms. Great menu variety, great ingredients and a delicious, filling meal. Remember the "big salad" from Seinfeld? Find that here, packaged in cardboard containers that I believe uses recycled paper. I always get about 2 meals from one salad. Their dressings are a-MAZE-ing. Love, LOVE the Crispy Rice Bowl's spicy cashew cilantro dressing. The blackened chicken alone is flavorful though I wish there were more wild rice and less arugula. My other favorite is the Fish Taco Bowl. Salmon, warm quinoa, tortilla chips, arugula and half of avocado. The lime cilantro jalapeno dressing's got a real kick, too, spice lovers! You can make your own salad or choose a warm plate like Hot Honey Chicken. Since I'm a lazy cook and get tired of pre-packaged salads, Sweetgreen and me go together like bread and butter. read more

Great fresh food, have been eating their food for a long time and have never been disappointed

Although this chain has been in LA for years, it was a follow up to Tender Greens and Mendocino Farms. Both started out great, and although still good ain't what they used to be. Sweetgreen in the new reining champ. I love their seasonal additions to the menu and their willingness to spotlight up and coming chefs with colabs. I can't get off the kale Caesar. I wish I could speak more widely on their menu but I'm stuck in the kale. It's delicious. Since I'm middle-aged, and the food stays on me longer than it used to, I get half the dressing and double the lime juice. I'm not sure it actually helps, but it makes me feel like I'm being smarter. The staff at this place is great. I wish they had a regular black ice tea and forks that didn't break with the slightest of pressure. But the salads are the bomb. The bread from Tender Greens wins though. This is like a regular sliced whole grain bread. It's good, but not buttery and toasted like the ones you get at Tender Greens.
