I ordered ahead and arrived when my order would be ready. I watched a long line of customers ordering in person get their food, then more and more who came in after me. They need more staff dedicated to online orders or to adjust the time they quote. It's frustrating to see people walk in and get food faster than you when you planned ahead, and it sucks to pay the parking meter thinking you'll be back in 10 minutes but have to run back to add more time. I waited 20 extra min, which isn't a long time, but it's about managing expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful as they could be. They were backlogged by 50 orders when I arrived and there was a mob of grumbling hungry customers waiting in the pick up area. If the food were amazing, I wouldn't mind. The veggies are fresh and delicious and overall they give you a good amount of food, but protein portions are small. There was enough chicken on my crispy rice bowl, but the harvest bowl had like 3 chunks! It also had a giant glob of goat cheese in the center you have to break up and mix in. The bread is chewy, nothing special. The dressing on my crunchy rice bowl was very good but too thick and hard to distribute in a salad bowl. I Doordashed my order but it still came very neat. I wish there were more low cal dressing options to choose from but it was still tasty. I was grabbing a coffee on way to work and saw that this place has opened. Not only opened but had opened today for business. I had went in and had looked over the menu. I decided to order a Blackened Crispy Chicken rice bowl. It had Chicken , cilantro, cucumbers and arugula along with almonds and a cashew dressing. It had a little spicy kick but not too hot. It also came with a slice of bread. They have a Mobile app and it has a separate area for Pre ordered pick up and dashers and Uber driver pick up, as well. I visited Sweetgreen for the first time tonight. After being at the hospital all day and evening my sister and I stopped in Sweetgreen to get me a salad to go. As we walk in there we're 3 ladies at the cashier desk, one them black, and one of there other ladies said f--k. The black lady came over and help us with a salad to go at the sum of $31.00. It was not a good time, if ever there was, for me to hear this on the day of Trump winning the election and his practice of hate. it was not setting well with me and went back in to speak privately with her, but she refuse. The second time, this weird girl behind the counter asked the ladies behind me if they wanted to be helped. They were just as confused as me, and said no, he's ahead of us. She then reluctantly helped me. The store was worth the wait, it is beautifully done and comes with a great staff. Patrick the store manager was so welcoming and made sure to share some backstory on the opening which we loved to hear. We ordered custom bowls from Walnut Creek location - highly disappointed with the customer service ordering inside. If I could give it a ZERO star I would. One guy (thin and wears a green bandana) was very rude serving our food. While I understand that portions are measured through a scoop, he definitely did not let us know they were running low on blackened chicken (which we knew was an extra $3.95 charge) so essentially it was a half scoop. I asked him if I could get a little more because I felt it was definitely not enough he then proceeded to charge me AGAIN another 3.95 because of that second scoop. It was not enough to be charged as Double Chicken. He was rushing me throughout the whole process and there was not a long line or anything to begin with to make me believe he would need to. He had a horrible attitude and was getting annoyed when I asked any questions about the menu. He was very nice and attentive to the blonde haired girl behind us ordering (afraid to say, that race may have been relevant to our experience here). Well. I really wanted to try this place after driving past it several times. And I was soooo dissapointed. It's like I took $28 bucks (which includes 3 for parking) out of my wallet and threw it in the wind. My food was inedible. I stupidly doubled my protein (they don't give you much at all), and every bite of chicken was gristley and fatty. Gross! The salad had wayyyyy to much dressing on it, it was almost soupy. And to add insult to injury, the guy asked me if I wanted it "mild, medium, or hot," to which I replied MILD. But it was not mild. No, it was stupid hot; It was so hot you couldn't much taste or enjoy what might have actually been good in that bowl. I'm so bummed. And I'm pretty pissed that I had to throw it away having only taken a few bites. I couldn't do it. I went up to the counter and very nicely asked if the mild dressing was typically inferno hot, and he said there was no choice in that dressing, that he must have meant "light, medium, or heavy." ummm, no. I came here with my husband and two kids on a weekday for lunch. Luckily we beat the lunch rush and were able to order without a long wait, but mid-meal, the line was pretty long. Lots of yummy options, and it felt really healthy. We split 3 bowls amongst the 4 of us--curry cauliflower, chicken pesto parm, and miso salmon grain bowl. My favorite was the curry cauliflower bowl--lots of flavor/well spiced. 11yo son loved the chicken pesto parmesan salad--it had these yummy crispy bits that added excellent texture, and my 7 year old loved his salmon bowl. The salmon seemed like more of a sockeye salmon so a thinner piece, but given that my 7 year old generally hates salads, and he enjoyed his meal, that is a HUGE win! Will definitely be back. I liked how they asked how much salad dressing I wanted--light medium or heavy. Went with light to medium and it was the perfect amount, maybe even possibly a little over dressed.
