    Look at the desserts

One thing I look forward to whenever I'm in the south is food. This airport has alot of variety of restaurants available than other Airport I've been to. Located in gate C, there's a food court setup. This restaurant is one to choose from. They have options for the combination plate. Choose a meat and 2 sides of choice. Walk up to the window and choose a protein and then move down to the sides. Hot sides or cold sides. They also have a variety of desserts and pies. Sweet potato pie was delicious. Service was fast since everything was cooked and hot, ready to go.

The food here is fantastic especially if you like soulfood. they serve ribs, chicken, pork chops, catfish meatloaf, and all the southern sides. And dessert desserts! This is basically a walk up and take away type of food place but when you walk up, you see their hot table and everything looks so good. You are at a loss to figure out which thing you want to get. You can only get two sides, but your mind keeps telling you you want at least four or five of them.! Just in case you were wondering what I chose...look at tge picture...that's catfish collard greens, candied yams, and peach cobbler They should call this place 5 fingers (as in, 'what did the five finger say to the face?') because it slaps! The food was great. The service was fast. They basically serve your plate immediately. Most of your things come from the hot table. The prices were fair for the portion size.. I would definitely come back here again.

Chicken strips with veggies and cinnamon apples

I was at the airport and needed lunch before a flight so I stopped here. I had the chicken strips with veggies and cinnamon apples. All of it was delicious. The veggies were tender but not too soft. Cinnamon apples were sweet and had a good cinnamon flavor. Chicken was nicely fried. Good honey mustard sauce for dipping. Overall a nice airport meal.

The line wasn't long at all. Very quick.

I'm shocked. Truly. I don't expect much from airport food but Swett's was excellent. I've eaten in there regular location but it's been years. This was every bit as good. The meat was juicy and fresh. The sides were perfect. Well seasoned and delicious. But pricy as expected but not terribly so. If in Concourse C and have time I highly recommend Swett's.

I was famished when I arrived in Nashville. Word was it would be 6 hours before I would be having dinner so I stopped in for a sandwich. The staff was exceptionally friendly and suggested the pulled pork sandwich. This was decent BBQ for an airport. Good flavor, tender and juicy! Great airport BBQ. Quick service and a lot of offerings. I wanted to try more, but stuck with the sandwich. The price was what one would expect at an airport. Nothing fancy and great to grab and run to your gate or in my case, run to the rental car.

    2 meats and two sides

A little expensive because they know they got you at the airport. I did asked for two types of meat though. So I kinda did this to myself. The brisket was awesome. Especially for a place that serves you out of warming trays. Brisket had no fat on it. Tasted like it was actually smoked. The food was really hot. Maybe because I'm a yankee I don't know good BBQ. I see this place has only 3 stars but I thought it was delicious. So I'm sorry this northern boy was impressed by your least common denominator. Oh wait I never got my biscuit! Ugh.

Not sure why the low reviews for this place. It's barbecue food in the airport so it's not going to be anything fancy, but for the price point and what you got, I thought it was fair. I did the one meat plate with pulled pork, mashed potatoes, and fried apples. I regretted getting the fried apples afterwards because I saw they had sweet potato casserole and a few other sides that were more desirable to me. It was $13.99 and very filling. The barbecue sauce on the pulled pork was delicious, surprisingly. Mashed potatoes were not gourmet but were also good. The fried apples were just okay. You can also get a meat plate with three sides or you can add meats, I thought I had initially ordered a two meat plate but that's actually not an option and the employee told me that to add ribs would be $6 so I opted not to do that. I was going to eat at Shake Shack but I figured I could get that at home anytime so I'm glad I stopped by here. There are some bar stools and tables right next to it as well or you can bring your to-go box to your gate and eat it there.

Bbq ribs, cheesey broccoli rice and Mac (without cheese)

Sorry, my camera is really blurry right now but still hadda get a pic. The ribs were really good, the bbq sauce is the BEST I've ever had, you can tell it's house made and it tastes divine. As for my two sides I got Mac and cheese and cheesey rice broccoli, the Mac and.... Mac and no cheese wasn't edible, tasted like they melted one Kraft single slice for the "rue", it was so soo dry but had a nice looking top, notice how I said looking. The cheesey rice broccoli was really good aswell, like ooohhh I am Mc loving it. Overall, I think it's worth a stop!

Ribs, roll, cheddar broccoli (rice), baked beans
    Amy X.

Exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant about the ribs being so much more $ ($21.50 vs $13.50 for others), but they gave me 5 ribs. They're surprisingly like Chinese sweet sticky ribs in flavor and sauce thickness but bigger. The cheddar broccoli had a lot of cheesy rice that I liked more than I thought I would. Baked beans were good, on the sweet side too. Dinner roll was small but soft and enjoyable. Everything was much warmer than expected. Very filling.

I travel a lot and I'm always hesitate of Airport food... This place was a total surprise!! Authentic Southern Soul Food in the Nashville Airport... Affordable. Delicious. You get your moneys worth... My plate of pork BBQ, carrots and greens plus a drink was about $16.00 Thats very affordable in any airport!! Bonus.. Good God above! It was great food!! Plus the girls behind the counter are very friendly and super helpful!

BBQ Brisket, turnip greens and loaded potato casserole
    amy m.

Solid brisket here .. smoked til tender as shown by the thick pink ring on the meat. The stars of the show here were the sides: loaded potato casserole (cheese, bacon and sour cream ) and delicious tender turnip greens. 1 protein and 2 sides were $15 a good deal for an Airport!

Breakfast plate with eggs, biscuit with gravy, hash brown casserole, chicken tenders $10.95
    Eli J.

Tried this place for breakfast. I think it's better than currently rated. I had a breakfast plate with eggs, biscuit with gravy, hash brown casserole, and chicken tenders. It was a solid 4/5 for airport food, especially considering price which is pretty cheap. Super quick service as well. I would consider getting it again.

I'll start off by saying I'm not the biggest fan of pancakes, nor cinnamon and have to be in the mood for both. Today happened to be the day. I tried their pancake sampler, with cinnamon, Caribbean and banana bread pancakes. They were all good, fluffy, airy and flavorful. Banana bread with their maple syrup, Caribbean with cinnamon. But, their cinnamon pancakes were amazing!! Those were definitely the winner!!! Best pancakes I've ever had. Their three pig omelette was pretty bomb as well. I got some of their sausage gravy on the side, to douse the omelette and that was definitely the move there. I think this is the first time I didn't need to use cholula for flavoring. The location is centralized, set up nicely, with huge open indoor space with plenty of seating outside. The service was great as well. Attentive and fast. All in all, I wish I had the time to come here yesterday, so I could try something different today. But, I took the place for everything it had and it definitely delivered. Highly recommend and I will be back, when I'm in the area for sure!

He was busy but stayed engaged throughout our time there. My daughter ordered the Banana Bread Pancakes while I chose the Swedish Pancakes, then added the Candied Bacon to share. It all came out super-fast! The Banana Bread Pancakes were fluffy, flavorful and so yummy. My Swedish Pancakes were classically thin, slightly sweet and loaded with lingonberry. And that Candied Bacon -- OMG. That was so good! It's definitely pricey, but worth it (IMO). The Pancake Pantry team work amazingly well in the organized chaos.
